Rupert's POV
"Russell!" I found my wolf rile. I howl, pulling myself from the chair and launching at him, teeth gritted with a clenched fist and my eyes red, as I pinned him to his chair, ready to kill him.
"Rupert!!!" Mason's voice was what called me out, of my imagination, I imagined myself launching at Russel and I pierced my claws into his tummy and my fangs on his shoulder as he cried under me.
"Shit!" I curse, snapping from my thoughts, did I hate my brother so much that I have imagined doing all those things to him? I wiped my face trying to calm myself and my wolf. It seemed Mason felt the rage in me that he decided to keep his stupid mouth shut, when we arrived at the airport, after about an hour plus, Father sent a car to pick us up, It's a good thing, he sent one for me and one for Russell, I was getting irritated with the fact that I am inhaling same air with him, and his disgusting blood was all I could perceive and it's suffocating, I was supposed to report at the royal castle, but then I chose to go home first, I don't know, I missed Iris, not me, my wolf, Vernon.
"Are you sure, it's just me that missed her?" Vernon teases.
I drove like mad, beating traffic lights, if someone had seen me, they would have thought that I was going to attend to some emergency, not knowing it was just for some stupid stuff that I didn't understand. I pack the car at the castle, I run towards the door, pulling the door without warning, the castle is as quiet as a graveyard, that is how it always is, I have told Iris not to make any sound, I guess she is been obedient in my absence, I was walking to my room but then her scent hit me, I sniffed, going back down the floor, that sweet peppermint scent filled my nostrils, it felt heavenly and I feel homely, even storm was peaceful, I pushed the door to her room with knocking letting her sweet scent lure me to Dreamland, although she is not there physically, her scent had driven me crazy.
I fell on her bed, and then the words of Mason hit me, Maybe, I should always go with her stuff that way I could always feel she was closed.
"Rupert! Where are you?" Mason had mind link me, causing me to jump from the bed, no, it's not my bed, I slept on Iris's bed till the next day, and where the heck did she go to? "Rupert!"
"I am with you." I said trying to calm myself.
"Good, I am at the castle, where are you? I have checked your room, you are not there, You don't want to go late for the tournament, do you know, everyone is relying on you to defeat that asshole from the Silver Moon pack."
"Fine! I will be out before you know it." I disconnected the mind link, I signed knowing that Mason would tease me, if he found out that I slept in Iris's room through the night and I didn't even change, which means that was the first place I entered when I arrived, I didn't even take my bag from the car. I brave myself ready to defend myself if he chooses to bantered me. For a second I thought I could be invisible and just appear in my room, fuck I don't even have that kind of power, I could only run in a flash, but then he is still going to feel the air, so no need, I pulled the doorknob no matter how careful I was, the very moment the door crack open, my eyes meet Mason.
"Hey man, did you sleep there?"
"Why will I sleep there, I only want there to check on Iris, since I didn't see her last night, only to realize she is not there, do you think she didn't sleep here?"
"Oh! She is with Ariana, they will both come to the tournament, you should groom, the tournament will soon start."
"Sure!!!" I mouthed, take a step.
"Why are you still in your last nightwear?"
Oh Mason, do you have to comment on everything you see? Those are the words I wanted to say to him, but I found myself giving him that cold look, and he gulped his saliva. "Oh! My bad." He raised his hand in surrender, I wanted to laugh at his actions, but I couldn't let my guard down, so I darted towards the staircase.
"Rupert!" I turned and looked at him. "You should be careful not to fall asleep in Iris's room because people might think she is you, you are smelling her." I rolled my eyes at him darting into my room, I walked into the bathroom, letting the water fall on me, while still in my complete wear, after some time, I took each piece of my body, standing nude under the water, the thought of Iris rush into my mind, it's just some bloody few days, I am missing her badly, not me but my wolf, I groom myself after drying up the waters from my body, I walked back to Mason throwing the hood to cover my face, I have practically changed my wardrobe to just this type of clothes, I and Mason had to leave since they just can't stop calling on the phone or mind link.
Iris's POV
I stared at myself, after applying the make-up that Ariana brought for me, I dressed up in one of those sexy dresses, It's beautiful, it cupped my body bringing out my shape and a little of my cleavage was exposed, its back was a bit open, my long hair ties in Ponytail cover it a bit, I look so different, I know I have always been beautiful and my beauty had made Hilary insecure and she always wanted my life.
"Don't you think I am overdressed for this?" I asked as I turned and looked at my reflection in the mirror.
"Of course not, you don't know the carnival of people that will be there, I bet you feel embarrassed if you wear those baggy clothes to the tournament." I rolled my eyes at her, she too is dressed amazingly and she is looking pretty nice, I see why Mason wanted her and didn't reject her when he found out that she is his mate.
"Come on, the driver is here to pick us up." She pulled me into the car.
"Do you think Rupert is back? Will he attend the tournament?" Ariana turned her gaze and looked at me. "Please tell me, I know that if Rupert sees me in that place dressed like this, he is going to kill me."
"Are you that scared of my brother?'
"Don't you think I should be scared of him?"
"I don't think you are scared of him because the last time, I checked you were the one who refused to give him access to your mind link, you practically blocked him."
"Yes, I know, please don't rub it in, is he coming, go and answer me because he told me not to attend the tournament." She pulled my hands, taking me out of the car that had driven us to the tournament field.
"We are here already are you going to go home, if he is here?"
"Of course, I will just ask the driver to take me back." When Ariana saw the sincerity in my eyes she pulled my hand.
"No, he is not." I smiled but the smile faded away immediately, that scent just hit me, and I turned to look at the bearer of that scent.
