Iris's POV
"Love!!!" I called as soon as I got close to him, I pulled his hand, circled my hand around his neck, and smashed my lips on him, I could see his eyes bulge, surprise was written all over his face.
"Ew!" The lady with him, stomped as she made her way back to wherever she came from, Rupert pulled me from himself.
"Why are you smelling Russell?" Now is my turn to stare at him surprisedly. "Can't you talk..."
"Stop yelling at her, if you weren't fighting like a beast that you are in there, she would not have asked me to assist her out and..."
"Russell, you should shut your mouth before I shut it forever, Remember I am a beast." He turned his gaze and looked at me, and instead of getting mad at him, I found myself having butterflies, now I get it, I am attracted to Rupert, it's just like the way I used to feel whenever I saw Damien back then, this is even stronger.
"Iris..."
"Rupert is..."
"Prince Rupert!!" He corrected me. "And why are you dressing like a slut to attend a tournament?'
'Rupert..."
"I said, Prince Rupert.'
"Can you stop telling me what to call you and stop trying to control me, for the record, I didn't dress like a slut, I have no idea that I will ever meet your brother here."
"Oh, so you dress like a slut to impress other alphas that will come to the tournament, and for male wolves to look at you.' I get tired of this annoying man, he is irritating me and bullying me, and he just refers to me as a slut.
"Yes, what will you do? Rupert, what if I did dress to attract male wolves?" Deep in my mind, Sally is telling me that I am crossing the boundaries and Rupert will get mad, I have committed so many crimes against him as it is, first I block him from having access to my mind link, and second, I was dressed in clothing, I know he warned me not to wear, I was even talking to his brother and now, I am challenging him in front of his brother.
"I said Prince Rupert, that is what you will call me, little one.'
"Old man, give me a break." I didn't wait for him to scold me, I created a distance between us, at this point, I didn't even know what was wrong with me when he grabbed my hand, I felt some connections that I couldn't tell, oh mine, why am I crushing on a beast, to kiss him again, is one thing that is ringing in my head again.
"Iris, where are you going?" Russell asked, I turned and looked at the punk that got me into trouble.
"Home!!! Come on Rupert let's leave." He ran his hand in frustration, as he glared at Russel before he dashed into the car, he drove home without saying a word to me, I know he is inching to say something, he is just trying to control himself, every time, he turned to both sides, I could see his muscles flinched.
I pay no attention to him, I don't see the reason why I can't mingle with other pack members if he is mad at them, he should drag me into it.
"Iris!!!"
"Hm!'
"You will leave today."
"What?' I turned and looked at him.
"Yes, I get tired of you, so you will pack your stuff and get the fuck out of my castle."
"Why is that? I did nothing wrong?"
"You did everything wrong, disobeying is enough to get out of my castle, I said you would only live here if you lived by my..."
"That is not what you said, you said you would train me for one month and that is when I could leave.'
"What is the difference? It's three weeks gone and you still don't ..."
"Three weeks, it's just two weeks you trained me and you went for..."
"It doesn't matter, you will leave and never return after next week. If you can't get it right then you should leave and never come back better still you can go live with Russell, since you find him attractive."
"Are you that mean? You are going to throw me out because of this?" I point at the wear on my body, his eyes are unfathomable, I could see my tears fall, one week, one blood week, how could I get it right? And I know he is going to do that?
"Don't cry, I should be the one crying, you are the one that brought pain to me, you are the one that made my dad remember me, you are the one that made me appear in places where I could get hurt."
I stared blankly, wishing I could figure out how I ended up getting him into trouble.
"The girl!" Sally pushed words into my mind.
"Perfect I got a solution. Rupert!!!"
'I told you, Prince Rupert...'
"Can you stop with Prince Rupert, yes too long for me to call that, let's help each other, I could pretend to be your girlfriend, so I could keep myself from other male wolves and you could prove to that girl that you could get any girl you want..."
"Iris, do you think I am some kind of child, I know what you want to do, you want to trap me into acting as my girlfriend and then you could stay longer, if that is what you have in mind just forget it because I don't have a heart."
"Oh Rupert, you should stop lying, you and I know that you didn't kill that man because you couldn't see him die, you left him there." Vernon invaded his thoughts, he closed his eyes.
'Rupert, are you alright?"
"Iris, Prince Rupert!" He turned to leave.
"So we have a deal, right?"
"Do whatever you want but after next week, I will kick you out."
I fell on the couch, I hated myself, I had to learn fast, I needed to be strong especially now that I found out that someone is after my life here.
The next day came faster than I expected, we went for the training, and it was just me and him, nothing I was getting right, from the shooting of arrows, cutting the fruit, the carrying of water, no one seemed right
'Dragged your sword, and fight with me."
In one swing, my sword is on the floor.
"Fight like an alpha wolf weakling." I grabbed the sword again, and the very minute he attacked me, the sword fell from my hands.
'Of what used are you? You are such a weak wolf." Walked home, you should get there before my car gets there, you need to be strong
"Rupert!"
"Prince Rupert." He turned. Now, I didn't wait for him to say more words, he drove ahead of me, he was fast, he didn't slow down like before, there was no way I could be faster than him, I tried to jump on branches, so I could be fast but that didn't happen, I fall at the floor, reaching the castle.
"You couldn't even..."
"I give up." He looks at me. "Yes, I can't, I accepted that I am a failure, and I will leave by dawn tomorrow, thanks for keeping me."
