Rupert's POV
"Damnit!" I curse as I get to my room, I didn't mean to push her away, I only wanted her to learn fast after Campbell told me that she was attacked at the tournament field, I felt worthless, and I thought I could give her hard time, so she could forget everything about fashion and focus on the important things, which is for her to be strong, she is getting too comfortable that I will always be there for her, I know I will protect her, I also want her to be strong not just a stubborn she-wolf that can't care for herself. I want to create a strong wolf for her, if she must take back her pack she must be strong, and brave enough to fight her enemies and protect herself and her pack.
I didn't expect her to give up, I never expected those words from her, not giving up, she shouldn't give up, I don't want her to give up, she is strong, and I don't see how an alpha could give birth to a weak pup, even if her mother is an omega, she is supposed to be a strong she-wolf, I wanted her to stay but I don't know how to do that, I too need help.
Throughout the day, she didn't come out, I was worried but I couldn't go to her, even though my wolf was restless wanting me to stop her from leaving, tell her things that would make her stay, I didn't want to, if I asked her to stay, she will not see the importance of things.
"So you are just going to let her go and face all the pain alone."
"Come on Vernon, stop making me feel like the bad one, she is supposed to beg for it not me forcing her to stay. I bet, she is tired, tired that I always make life hard for her but I am only doing this because I wanted her to be strong."
"Is that the reason, you are hard on her?"
"Of course.'
"I thought you hated her?"
"Why will I hate her, she is the only she-wolves that have dared come into my castle and live for days, she is the only she-wolves that have made my heartbeat and felt pity for others, for the first time In two tournaments, I did think killing my opponent is a sin, and the pack members they were happy that I didn't kill the man, even though I thought at first that they wanted me to kill him, they only wanted me to defeat the man, not kill him, they wanted me to protect them against enemies not be their enemy."
"Rupert!"
"Yes!"
"Maybe, we could still make her stay.'
"How?" Vernon kept quiet, I tried to figure out what he wanted us to do, but never, I can't do that, I don't want her traumatized.
"Come on Rupert, it's not a big deal."
"It's a big deal, I will not do that."
"But..."
"Shut up." I pushed it to the back of my mind, he is only acting on impulse, I should be the one, leading him not the other way round.
I got tired, of his nagging, I wanted out of the castle, I didn't bother taking the car, and with my vampire strength, I leaped from the floor, jumping between the buildings, the wind hit my face, and it was beautiful as the fresh air saturated my skin, I love it, my speed was much, I landed on the roof of the pack hospital, father had don't a great deal in the pack, for two years I haven't even step foot in the main pack if it's not the training ground, it's the royal house, if it's not there, then I am either in my castle or in the battle Field.
"Rupert!!!" Mason was surprised when I visited the hospital in the main town.
"Yes, what?' He stared at me. "Oh, my hood, sorry I didn't mean to scare your patient." I grabbed throwing it off my head, apart from him staring at me, his patient and every other one in the hospital hallway was looking at me and bowing
"No! Take the hood off."
"Are you kidding me? You want your patient to die by merely looking at my face."
"Didn't you notice, they were staring at you not because you are..."
"Cousin, what happened to you?' That was Ariana, I turned and looked at her, and then I remembered, I was going to punish her.
"Ariana, did you want to get punished?"
She hides behind Mason, this girl, who knows how to get away with things, Mason is always her shield.
"Come on man, I apologize on behalf of her and I have scolded her for taking Iris with her."
"How did you punish her?" I wondered the kind of punishment this cousin of mine, will receive from Mason. Mason ran his hand on his hair, I got the picture, and he didn't do anything to her.
"Alpha Rupert..."
"Stop calling me that, I am not an..."
"Who says so? Father attended the council meeting, they were deliberating on who to pick between you and Russel and Father said you get the highest vote and to think that Father voted for you and Mason's father also rooted for you."
"What?" I and Mason screamed at the same time, if someone told me in my dream that, my uncle, Ariana's father, would want me to be an alpha, I bet I could wake up and say it was just a dream, he despite me because his mate sister, was the first she-wolves that I ever devour.
"Are you surprised?" Ariana questions as she tips on her toe and presses a sweet peck on the left side of my cheeks.
"Ariana, aren't you scared of my irritation..."
"It's not irritating that part of your face is getting handsome."
"What?" I run to the glass window to see if what she said is true, oh mine, is like the moon goddess is about to forgive me, my sins, as I watch my face in the mirror, I flashback to two years ago.
"Rupert, you should come very fast, I beg you, I am in danger, he is going to kill me."
"Who?'
"He is..." mind link disconnected.
"Celina!!! Celina!!!" I called but she didn't connect, I grabbed my phone, trying to call her, but the line didn't go through. Shit! I curse as I stand from the couch, I was playing a game with Mason in the living room when the call came up.
"Rupert, where are you going?"
"Is Celina, she is in danger, I need to be with her."
"Should I come with you?"
"No Mason, I don't think I could wait, I need to be here, I don't know what the monster is doing to her, every second is deadly."
"Fine, you should go to her but don't ever kill whoever is hurting her, remember it's the full moon, the moon goddess hates blood."
"I know." I ran out of the building, and using my vampire's speed, I jumped through all the high buildings in the castle, my speed was fast, I didn't even think that I could be that first, that was the first time, I ever used my vampire speed and wolf strength at the same time, my wolf was just three weeks old, still not strong enough for this but then been the son of the alpha, everything is possible, the strength was just pushing in.
I could find her at her family castle, so I decided to trace her scent, it was difficult but I tried, and the scent led me to the clubhouse, I tried to listen to the faintest sound, vampires can hear the faintest sound, her voice was all I was trying to pick from the crowd and it leads me again to the back of the clubhouse, there she was, running towards the entrance and a boy behind her, her clothes were barely covering her skin, she is more like a wolf who just transform back to the human form that is left with little or no cloth to cover her.
"Celina!"
"Thank goodness, he..." She panted not able to take the words.
"Rape..." She nodded, I didn't think twice than to launch myself at him, my wolf was so brutal, he didn't want to hear any other things, all the energy in me combined causing me to metamorphose into a wild beast that the only thing I wanted to do is to kill the man that rapes my mate, the man that takes advantage of my mate, my fist goes to his face countless times, and he falls to the floor helplessly and he couldn't hold himself, but that didn't help, my claw and fist went into his shoulder and tummy, I suck all his blood till he becomes lifeless.
"Rupert, what have you don't?"
"I did nothing wrong, he rape you, so I killed him..."
"He didn't rape me."
