Iris’s POV.
I have slept through the night and the next morning when Susan came to give me food and hangover tea, she told me what the pack members are whistling about, they are talking about arranging a mate for me, but I don't want that, maybe it's really time for me to talk to Rupert, I know I am in love with him and he too is into me, maybe, we could work this out.
I took my bath in a hurry, have a quick breakfast, and groomed myself, I was about to mindlink Rupert telling him that I am on my way to see him when my beta tapped on my door.
"Who is there?"
"Alpha Iris, it's me, beta Drake, you have a visitor."
"A visitor?" I pulled out the door, I was already dressed, so I hurry out without waiting for him to tell me, who the visitor is, I was thinking that the person is Rupert, he is the one that appears unannounced
"Alpha Iris is..."
"Never mind, it's fine and you could check on the other administration of the pack, I will be fine with him." I interrupted beta, Drake.
"It's not..." He try to warn me but my excitement of meeting Rupert is at a peak that I didn't listen, I don't seem to understand myself, I am longing more for Rupert, and even though I was mad at him for calling me names, I still want him.
Seeing the lady sitting on my chair at the Alpha's office made my smile fade away, she turned all of a sudden given me that wicked grin.
"What are you doing here?"
"Oh alpha Iris, is this how you welcome your guest?"
I wanted to scream yes at her face and no that she is not my guest so she is not welcome but that is not a good personality of a leader.
"Sit." I finally said after glaring at her. "Why are you here?" She didn't say anything, she only run her eyes all over me. "Why are you glaring at me?" I am getting irritated.
"Relax alpha Iris, you are way too aggressive and rude for an Alpha."
"Are you here to lecture me on how to act as an alpha or do you want to tell me the reason for appearing in my pack unannounced?" Celina still didn't say a word. "Stop staring at me, if you don't want me to throw you out."
"Hey relax, such an arrogant Alpha."
"Now you get that I am an arrogant alpha and you seem to forget something, I am a ruthless Alpha, maybe, I should give a wolfsbane for coming into my territory to rile me."
"Easy, I was only looking at the woman that my mate had been misusing her body for his selfish gain."
"What the heck are you saying?" I banged the desk.
"I wasn't the one that told your mate to be an asshole and I wasn't the goddess that fated you to the one that could kill your parents and one thing, I am not going to get mad at, you if you couldn't bear your heat and decided to have a boyfriend or should I say a bed mate but one thing I will not take is you picking my mate as your fucking bedmate."
Celina's words are painful, I try not to show it. "What do you mean?”
"Don't you fucking have a heart, that last night when you two are having your dirty little fun, I was the one in pain, my entire being is in pain."
I wanted to cry, it's like Rupert's words were right, I am a whore but wait, why should I feel guilty, didn't she screw someone else, didn't she make him get those red marks on his wrist? So? Why is she acting like the saint while I am some kind of villain?
"Maybe, you should tell that to your bloody mate," I yelled at her.
She grabbed my forearm, coming closer to me.
"I thought you were only naive and timid back then when you appear at the pack with Rupert, I thought you were giving him, your body back then because he is housing you, now I get it's your gameplay, so you could get him under your wings and make him protect you and your pack when others stronger alpha charge at you but you got it wrong, alpha Rupert is mine, he is only going to see you as his sex mate."
I pulled my hand off her grip, pushing her to the wall while I pinned her hand behind her.
"Why are you acting like you love Rupert? You and I know that you don't love him, you are only using him and wanting him because he has his face now and now he is an alpha, so you want him back what happened to the man, you also bang when he is under that spell, did he jilt you."
"Is not your business, he is mine and the moon goddess had given him to me and that is how it will remain, there is nothing, you or anyone could do about it." She snarled.
"And you think that a cheating she-wolf will be perfect for him?"
"Yes, he was okay with it, until you came with your flirtatious self and seduce him with your whore like alpha spirit."
"I didn't seduce him."
"Oh please, stop acting like a wounded alpha, you think I don't feel it anytime you two get into a compromising situation, I fucking feel it, I know you are the one throwing yourself at him and please I beg you stop it, you are giving me pains, till Rupert is my mate, you are going to stop throwing yourself at him and stop hurting me."
"Are you going to make him reject you?" I asked letting go of her hand. She tittered, looking at my face.
"Never, I will never give Rupert to you because he is mind and I am here to give you what you deserve."
"What is it?" I asked, she point at the card on the table already. I turned and look at the table, I rushed to grab it, but my hands were shaking when I open it to see what is in it, and my eyes bulge out.
"You shouldn't say I didn't warn you, I hope that is enough to make you stay away from my Rupert."
I didn't say anything else, she turned around and left the office, I yelled throwing everything off the desk.
"Damn you, Rupert, how could you do this to me?" I felt worthless, the previous day came rushing into my memory, how he asked me out of the room, after taking my pride.
"Ah!" I screamed, throwing stuff to the floor. Beta Drake rushed in.
"Alpha Iris, is there a problem." I raised my head and stared at him, my face is filled with tears. "What did that woman do to you?" I raised my head and look at him.
"Tell the council that I am ready to meet the alpha that has listed their names to be my chosen mate."
"What?" Drake yelled.
