Drake's POV.
"No, it has disappeared, tell me, what did you do?" I parted my lips to say something, but her eyes were closing slowly. "Thank you." She mouthed before they finally get shut, I move closer to her, she is fine now.
A few minutes ago, when the pain was becoming unbearable for Iris, I thought of who could be her mate, and the first person that came to my mind was Rupert, so I decided to place a call to him but his phone is not going.
*****Flashback******
"Damn, why is he not taking his calls?" I run my hand through my hair in frustration. "Mason, his beta could be perfect to tell me what is going on." I thought as I search for his contact, thanks to the goddess, I found his contact.
"Hello beta Mason, this is beta Drake from Goldfang Pack," I speak first when the person from the other side takes the call without speaking.
"Oh, beta Drake, is everything alright?"
"Are you with the alpha right now?" I asked, he pinned his lips. "Please tell me."
"No, I left him at his office, he is a bit mad, I think Alpha Iris send him away, I don't know what happened between them but I don't think he likes the turn of events."
"Hm!"
"Is there a problem?" He asked I don't know how to go about it, I don't even know the right words to use, should I just ask him if his alpha is with another female, or should I tell him that his mate is getting hurt because of his actions. I try to find the right words when Mason's words came out. "Are you still there beta Mason?"
"Sure, sorry, I was just a bit distracted."
"Oh, it's normal, being a beta to a pack could be tiring, sometimes you don't have to worry only about the political affairs of the pack but also about your Alpha and its personal life."
"Of cause, can I ask for a favor from you?" I asked when I finally get the courage to ask.
"Sure, anything."
"Can you go on and check what your alpha is doing right now?"
"What?"
"Please, I just want to know and it's very important." He went mute for a while, I know it sounds awkward. "Please."
"Fine, I will let you know what he is up to." He finally agreed.
"Thanks goodness." He ended the call, I waited patiently for him while I pace in the office, his call come up again, and I grabbed pressing the answering button. "Hello, what is he doing?" I didn’t wait for him to say a word.
"He is having a personal stuff."
"Personal stuff like what?" I asked
"You don't expect me to disclose that to you. Do you?"
Saying that, I get the picture, I think that he is with a female and his actions are what is hurting Iris right now but I am not sure yet, it might be a coincidence but this coincidence is too good to be true, I should try, instead of just assuming that it's a mere coincidence and let this pass.
"Is he with a she-wolf?" I questioned.
"Can you stop, I will not tell you about my alpha personal life, you could ask for something else but not that. Do you know what you are asking for?" Beta Mason's voice was coarse.
"You have to tell me, at this point, his actions are killing someone."
"Don't be ridiculous, I don't see how alpha Rupert's action is killing someone?"
"I am not being ridiculous, just tell him to stop, he is hurting Iris." I voiced that out, I pinned my lips as soon as the words fly out, I didn't mean to say that, I will not want to spread false information.
"What do you mean?" His voice became stronger. "Tell me, is Iris fated to Rupert?"
"I don't know, we could only find out if you could make him stop mating with that she-wolf, and I will see if Alpha Iris's mate is Alpha Rupert." His questions made me voice everything without holding back.
"Okay, it might be difficult for me to stop him but I will try." I pinned my lips together, waiting patiently for beta Mason to say something. "I will call you back." He finally agreed to help.
"Please be fast." He didn't reply, he ended the call, I waited again for another minute, I am getting really restless if really he is the one, I know the more he continues to be with another, the more her pain will become unbearable. I grabbed my phone to call beta Mason again but his call came up almost immediately.
"Hello," I said picking the call at the first ring. "What is it?" He went mute. "You should tell me, is Rupert with..."
"He had stopped already, so go in and check if the pain had stopped." Beta Mason's words were straight to the point.
"Fine, I will get back to you." It's my turn to tell him, I will get back to him, I ended the call and rushed to the room where Alpha Iris is, pulling the door.

My phone rings again immediately I place Iris on the bed and cover her with the duvet. it's from Mason, I grabbed the phone and press the answer button.
"Have the pain stopped?" That was the first thing Mason asked.
"Yes, she is sleeping already."
"Are you sure?" Mason's voice sounded excited and confused at the same time
"Yes."
"They are fated mate, Rupert is her fated mate." He repeated the word but his breath is telling me, he is kind of doubting it.
"You don't think they are mate?"
"I really don't know, why he is still feeling the unfaithfulness of Celina when he is fated to another already and..."
"And what?" He kept quiet. "go on and tell me." I pressed on for a reply.
"I am afraid, he might end up with Celina tomorrow because he is going to announce to the entire pack by tomorrow that Celina is his mate and Luna."
"And Iris is going to announce to the pack tomorrow who her mate is."
"What the fuck are we going to do?" I know Rupert doesn't know that the goddess had fated him to someone, I know he is going to find it hard to believe because he hasn't rejected his mate." I sighed in frustration.
"How is it even possible? Do you think Rupert is fated to two?"
"That I can't tell but we are going to find out only if we are able to make them come in contact before the announcement."
"What do you think we should do?" I asked, he went mute and all I could hear is his breath. "Are you there?" I asked.
"Yes, I have a perfect plan."
"What is it?"
