Russell's POV
My face was drilled of all emotions when Celina voice that Rupert had a mate. I don't want him to have a mate, having a mate will mean that Celina can't be his Luna.
"Go on and tell me, who is his mate?" I grabbed Celina's hand roughly, for some unknown reason, I hated the idea that Rupert now had a mate and Celina might not be able to give my pup an alpha title.
"Can you stop hurting me?" She pulled her hand from me. "Yes, I don't know who his mate is but I am sure, Mason knows who that she-wolves is."
"What do you mean Mason?" I can't seem to place Celina's words, why the beta of all people will have an idea of who my brother's mate is.
"Yes, he came in a few minutes when I and Rupert were having sex, he stopped me, saying that our actions are hurting Rupert's mate and he throw me out." I gashed for air as I kept quiet, trying to place one on two and to see which she-wolves are around here that might be gifted to him and my wolf flash the picture of Iris in my head.
"No way, it can never be," I screamed Celina rushed to me, thinking something is wrong.
"What is it? Are you alright?"
"Don't you dare touch me, you should make sure it's not Iris, your worthless mate, can't get everything that belongs to me, I have already lost the alpha position, my father had gifted him my right of becoming the next alpha of this pack, even when I am the heir of Oscar family and now the goddess is giving him my mate, how could they be so cruel? Rupert is taking everything for me, now he is going to take my love, never, I will not let that happen this time." I growl banging the table.
"Russell, you are confusing me, are you by chance saying that you are in love with Iris?"
"Yes, I have loved her since the first day, I saw her at my pool, and when Rupert arrived to pull her from there, I know that my heart longed for her and no one else, I was going to make her my chosen mate. I was only waiting for the right time"
"You are confusing me more, how could you possibly be in love with Iris and you are even planning on getting her as your chosen mate what about me?" I tittered at her actions, her face was that of a jealous she-wolf that her mate is talking about another she-wolf in front of her
"What's funny?" Celina growl.
"You are very funny, you and I know that you love power..."
"And you don't love power?" She growled at me.
"Yes, I love power but I am not some desperate bitch like you, I don't go back to my vomit, the very minutes you found out that Rupert's face is back and he is declared the next Alpha, I watch you throw yourself at him, you wanted him and you saw me as an enemy, you were ready to give my pup to him, you think I don't know that, you were eager to used that drugs on him because you want him to have carnal knowledge of you?"
"Oh please, stop trying to make me feel bad, you also love this, you wanted your pup to be the next alpha if he turns out to be a male and even if she is a female, she will still be the alpha ruling beside her mate."
"Yes, I love the idea that you will be giving my pup royalty and that automatically makes him the next in line but I think, that Is not going to happen because Rupert will not think twice to pick the pup from his mate and if Iris Is truly his mate, he is going to do everything to make sure that he makes her happy. Just as my father is giving Rupert everything because of the Luna"
"Wait, you and Rupert are not from the Luna?"
"Never, Rupert and Campbell's mother is the present Luna while my mother was his fated mate, the Luna was his chosen mate, he had loved her since they were kids, and when his mate my mother died while giving birth to me, he brought in the Luna that happened to be his chosen mate, he made everyone believe that we all are from her."
"Oh mine, did Rupert know that..."
"No, he had no idea that my mother is different from the Luna."
"Now I see why your character is different from theirs."
"What do you mean?" I glared at her
"You should know, you are cruel while then are the opposite of you." I hit her face, she falls to the wall.
"How dare you look me in the eyes and call me cruel." I raised my boot to hit her tummy.
"No Russell, don't hurt your baby." She cried out, I withdrew my legs and stared at her, I smiled as a thousand thoughts flashes in my mind.
"What are you smiling at?"
"Tomorrow, she is having her Alpha ceremony and I heard the council will want her to pick a mate, I will appear at the ceremony, and volunteer to be her chosen mate, that way I could be the alpha of her pack and then when I finally get rid of Rupert, I could merge the two pack and I will be the alpha of the largest pack in this territory." Celina stared blankly at me as I picture people bowing at me and I beside Iris. "oh my sweet Iris."
"Stop daydreaming, there is no way, Iris will pick you up, and remember you said you love me."
"Oh please shut up, if you don't want me to hurt you more and forget that you are carrying my baby, and as for love, I don't love you and you only come to me because you have no other wolf to satisfy your urges. You wanted me because you were thinking back then that I will be the next alpha, so it's my turn to just used you and discard you." This time, she tittered harder, I could see her pain and admit her laughter.
"Oh my dearest Russell, you are stupid, Iris is in love with Rupert, there is no way, she will pick you even if Rupert doesn't come from her."
"I don't think so, with what I have there is no way, I wouldn't get her to be mine. Iris is mine."
"What do you have?"
"My secret baby girl." I tap her shoulder as I lower my lips to kiss her tummy. "Baby, you should stay strong, Father will be back to claim you for now you should stay with this desperate bitch of a mother, while Father thinks of making more siblings for you." I grabbed the door, and my phone rang, I wondered why Fred is calling instead of mindlinking me. "Hello Fred, did you get the documents?"
"Yes, I did, you should meet me up." I grinned taking one last look at Celina, I blow a kiss to her.
"You should attend the family meeting tomorrow."
