The last pure she-wolf Chapter 7

— Tell me...— My voice came out cold. — How much they paid you to pretend to care about me? Because if you really felt something for me, now would deliver me that man like an animal towards slaughter.

— Hayley! — Rebuked me, changing. —  We saved you because your father asked. You were an innocent child and did not deserve to be killed. We take care of you for love and do not regret anything, would do the same thing dozens of times. Do not say nonsense, know that not we are so.

I shook my head negatively. Anger completely clouded my thoughts.

— You promised to take care of me as your daughter, stay by my side, face anyone to keep me safe. And now agrees with that? — Pointed in your direction, with tears of rage burning in my eyes, but my pride kept me from spilling them. — Where is the man who promised to take care of me and now is willing to me deliver as a simple, valueless object? You lied to me! — I accused her of being hurt.

He looked away, visibly wounded by my words. I saw this in his teary eyes, but I wouldn’t forgive him. Felt my face burning with hatred and without permission, a tear flowed from my eyes, but I dried it quickly.

I felt betrayed and hated that feeling. He promised!

— Honey, try to understand me, please. We’re talking about the Supreme, we cannot against him. — His suffering tone hurt my heart, but I was boiling with rage.

With every word he said to me, referring to the Supreme, I passed to hate him more and more. My anger and contempt for him was so great that at the first opportunity would fly on your neck and rip your head.

The idea of being contained, controls me enraged. Imagine having a male wanting to submit to their wishes bubbled my blood. No, I couldn’t allow it.

— You have already reached the mating age, your wolf is already mature enough and needs a companion. Its smell is already attracting the attention of the males of the neighboring packs, they want her, Hayley and go fight to have it. Only the Supreme can protect you.

The coldness in my eyes when facing him was able to freeze my heart.

— Arabella Labonair is dead. — I said rude. — She died twelve years ago back along with your duties and promises, along with your parents in that damn night. I’m Hayley Blake, a female who doesn’t need a companion and that will kill every despicable wolf that intrudes on my way. — growled decided, letting transpire all that I felt it in my eyes.

I needed air. The surrounding walls were choking me, needed to breathe fresh air and with that thought I ran to the window jumping out and running towards the forest, my safe haven, my real home.

I didn’t care for the screams calling me, I was hurt, hurt and furious.

I felt the anger and indignation of my wolf inside me. The part of me, wilder and more independent was as furious as I didn’t care about my lineage, everyone was already dead. And those who remained hunted me and persecuted me, for I would, you care about them?

Why would I care about anyone other than my family?

Everyone left me to die, it was only fair to return.

"Does he really think we belong to him? How pathetic!"

I had never felt that way, hated when they betrayed me like that.

Shit! Peter was like a father to me, why did he allow all this?

My eyes burned, and I felt like crying, but refused to shed tears. Did not hold my wolf when she roared wanting to leave, just released in a sigh, wishing to get rid of all my problems at that time. Felt my eyes dilate, and my wolf howled inside me, doing a strong pain take over my body that collapsed on the floor, ready for change. My bones snapped and were breaking swiftly. The adrenaline and anxiety of getting rid of all the weight in the world human made my transformation occur faster. One of my arms folded and my bones were breaking, happened the same with the other. My legs broke, forming my hind legs. I groan in pain as I feel my ribs shift and my spine bent forward, forming the body of a wolf. I felt mine clothes tear and saw my claws come down and nailed them to the ground, my fangs tore my gum. My face thinned, giving origin to the snout along with my fangs.

My fur as black as night appeared covering my body. Me put up, completely transformed, feeling the atmosphere change around me, my instincts dominated me completely. It was liberating to get rid of the human body and run through the forests, like the wild animal that I was and loved to be. Soon I started running towards the forest, I had in mind that my she— wolf ran after some prey to quench her hunger and take out your anger.

I didn’t know for sure how many days I had been away from home, I lost count after the third day. The only thing I cared about at that time was the hunting in front of me that looked extremely delicious.

I snuck up to my prey, it was a deer, a male. My steps were calm and careful, being careful not to frighten the animal, I was experienced in hunting, a wild predator. I waited for the right moment and when I was close enough to him, I jumped at my victim, taking her by surprise.

I thrust my fangs into his neck as deep as I could, burst his jugular, feeling the blood flood my mouth like a hot jet, and realized I had killed him. I threw him on the ground and began to devour his flesh, calmly enjoying the animal.

I liked to enjoy my hunting, it was the best part of the day.

When I finished I was covered in animal blood, I licked the rest of the slimy liquid I had on my snout and started running through the forest. The feeling of being at home was welcoming, being able to feel every life in that place was surreal, seeing every tiny detail that my eyes could see, hear and feel for miles was incredible.

I was born to be a free wolf.

The day was dawning, I could see the sky with its orange color, indicating the twilight behind the treetops above me. The fresh morning wind hit my face as I ran through the forest, feeling the same inner peace and freedom I loved.

I approached the small stream on my way, needed to clean me from all that dirt. I stepped on the pebbles I had at the beginning and slowly entered the icy water. The sudden contact made my body shiver and my hair bristle, causing me a shiver in the spine. I opened my eyes and saw my black feet below the water and the little fish around me. I went back to the surface and swallowed a good breath of air and started swimming down the creek, I loved it. I swam to the edge and stepped again on the pebbles of the stream, coming out of it.

Already on dry land, I shook my body, taking the excess water from my hair, and began to walk quietly through the forest. The smell of the forest calmed me, the smell of nature left me intoxicated with the feeling of freedom. The sound that the forest produced was relaxing. I felt a movement on my right side and positioned myself in attack position, ready to tear the intruder apart.

— Hey, it’s me, guardian of the forest. — Mocked Aiden looking at me, coming out of the trees. I snorted, making the smoke escape from my snout. I loved my brother, but he knew how to be nosy when he wanted to, and I wanted to make Rebecca a widow. He had a backpack on his back and smiled on his side as the sun hit his blue eyes, something else he was unlike me.

Aiden had brown hair and blue eyes, slightly greenish in the sun.

I, on the other hand, had the same brown hair and caramelized green eyes. We were different in appearance and temperament. Aiden, being the oldest and being raised to become the leader of a pack, was more controlled and responsible than me, an impulsive and unpredictable time bomb.
