The last pure she-wolf Chapter 6

— It wasn’t your fault, I can see that. It’s not your fault, born with his ass facing the moon. — Smiles sideways with his words.

— A By the way, my name is Clarissa, but you can call me Clary.

— By the Moon! How foxes stink. — Grumbled Dylan, and Clary narrowed his eyes in his direction, evidently offended by his words.

— I’m a Kitsune, not a fox! — exclaimed and he shrugged.

— It’s the same for me. — She answered, and Clary rolled her eyes.

— You should smell yourself, it’s worse than a cranky dog wet. She scowled and squeezed her lips to avoid laughing with her face that Dylan did. But before he could answer it, a loud noise sounded from Clary’s belly, and her face blushed with shame.

— You must be hungry. — Becky spoke for the first time, and she waved, still with an embarrassed smile on her face. — I’m Rebecca, it’s a pleasure to meet you. — She said, taking a small bowl, the smell that came from there was horrible.

— Poor Clary.

— This will speed up your healing process. It’s a Tanager tea, a medicinal herb.

Clary took the bowl and took it all, grimacing.

— Thank you.

HAYLEY BLAKE

It was already dark. After having dinner with my family and having talked to Clary a few minutes, Kitsune ended up taking the sleep thanks to Rebecca’s herbs, went to my room to rest. I looked between the open windows of my room to the dark sky and starry. I was sitting in my bed with an old book in my hands, in those old pages was the name of all Labonair who already lived, was a way of knowing about our lineage and honor them after their deaths. I carefully traced the names there. Far below our parents, the deceased Alphas of the Crescent pack.

Aiden Labonair

Arabella Labonair

Smiles lightly as we read our names, again feeling that grip painful in the chest. I kept closed that door of my old life, the memories of a past that I would rather forget. Those memories only caused me more pain and bitterness.

I heard knocks on the bedroom door and just by its smell, I recognized it.

— The door is open. You can come in.

It was Peter.

— Can I talk to you, dear? — Asked closing the door and I surprised, his sudden request. Just nodded, seeing him enter the room.

Peter sat down in front of me and ran his hand over his face, he was tense.

The smell of fear mixed with anxiety that flowed from it was me leaving nervous, reacting to my sensitive senses and always alerts.

The only time I ever saw Peter like that, my life was at risk, and all the thought made me stiffen.

"That doesn’t sound good, did something happen?"

— What happened? — Was it something with Clary? Is she okay? — Unable to contain my protective instinct filled Peter with questions, but he denied with the head.

I frown at it.

— Don’t worry, she’s fine. Everyone’s fine.

"Is this good? Because I feel that worse is to come."

— Peter, what happened? — My voice trembled when I asked.

— Hayley, there’s something you need to know, and I want to be the one to go say. — His tone was serious and my stomach turned. — Not me stop until I say everything, okay? — Asked and, despite wanting a reply, just agreed with the head. — The rumors that there is a Last Living Pure Blood has reached the ears of many packs.

As soon as Peter finished talking, my body froze. I blinked a few times, trying to control the fear that began to grow inside me, making a discomfort arise in my stomach. I squeezed my sweaty hands hard and licked my dry lips.

"This is bad, very bad. What will happen to us?"

— Please, please, don’t just...

Peter cut me off.

— Let me continue, please. — He was distressed and fearful. — This information has reached the Alpha Labonair, and he’s on his way to the village.

The air fled from my lungs at that moment and my mind turned a complete mess. I leaned my body in search of air to understand the weight of Peter’s words.

The Alpha Labonair is the Alpha of my lineage, he comes from the first family Labonair to be created. He is the Alpha of Alphas, literally.

Your pack has created all the packs, your pack is made up of better wolves and my kind is led by him, by one male covered in arrogance and dominance. He is the Supreme Alpha, a legitimate Pure Blood, superior to all others and unfortunately, my Alpha.

— How so? What does he want with me? — I asked when I got up from bed, feeling the despair hit me. That story didn’t look a good thing.

— Your lineage is all extinct, Hayley. You’re the last female Blood Pure. A Supreme Alpha can only mate with a pure legitimate for continuing the lineage. He wants it!

A monstrous roar reverberated through my mind and made a rage unusual to take over my body when I finally understood the reason for that conversation.

— I am free and belong to no one but myself! — Declared in a furious growl.

— It’s for your own safety, try to understand. If you belong to the Supreme, no one will try to hurt you, dear.

"We are not an object to belong to someone!"

— I don’t care who he is or what he’s capable of. — Displayed my teeth in a growl. — All these years I fought alone to keep me alive, survive without his help, and I don’t need your fucking protection.

Peter rubbed his face, his shoulders drooping and his eyes teary. His tears didn’t lessen the anger inside me, just left me more furious.

— Hayley, you are a Pure, an Alpha and have obligations to fulfill. — Your words caused my pupils to dilate, but Peter did not seem to care. — I’m sorry to tell you this, but you were promised to the Supreme Court as a child, and he wants you.

— What? — Screamed without believing, my head was starting to throb.

— I don’t belong to anyone, where did you get this nonsense? — Denied, denied, away from him and walking through the room. — This bastard did nothing to help my family when we were attacked, he left us to die and now decides to appear thinking they have some right about me? It’s ridiculous that you think I’ll accept that.

"I will not hesitate to rip the throat of some disgusting male who tries to claim us for you"

Peter squeezed his eyes tightly.

— His parents were well— known people at that time, led the Crescents. When the late Supreme learned that a Pure Blood daughter of Alphas, he visited her, interested. His parents planned the union of you when I was old enough.

With every word that comes out of Peter’s mouth, with more eagerness to vomit, I stood.

— My parents...— My voice trembled, and I closed my eyes briefly. — My parents offered me to him as a commodity? Did they sell me? — Disgust and contempt were clear in my features and dilated eyes.

— Don’t be angry with them, try to understand them. Your parents wanted one future better for you, my girl. You’re very special for an any wolf. Any werewolf would die for their powers or would die to have you, Hayley. It was something they did to ensure your protection.

The calm tone of his voice only revolted me more. He ignored completely what I had said, and it infuriated me.

It was like I had no opinion, like I was a doll and my life was guided by them.

— I am not an object of exchange in this sick game. — Growled between teeth, feeling my wolf growling, wanting to leave and Peter was struck by my dominance, but the anger I felt was greater than my reason at that moment. — Understand once and for all, life is mine, and only I decide what to do with it. — My breath was panting as my blood boiled inside me.

— It was necessary.

— I can’t believe my parents did this to me. What were they thinking? That I would accept it? — I murmured to myself, with the hands on my head as I walked through the room, trying to clear my mind. —  It’s ridiculous that they think I’ll marry a stranger against my will.

One day you’ll understand, Hayley.

"Does he really agree with that?"

I turned towards him, seeing how Peter was shrunk by my dominance, the power I had over the common wolves rose to my head sometimes, and that moment was one of those.
