~Derick Pov~
I couldn't believe it. Sophia was kidnapped by Blake and now he was using her as a bargaining chip to get to Mia. I called all of my followers to gather in the main hall, and I could feel the tension rising as soon as I entered the room.
"I have some news," I said, my voice low and dangerous. "Sophia has been kidnapped by Blake."
Lucas and Jessica looked around, but their faces remained stoic. I could tell that they didn't care about Sophia at all.
"Can't you see that she's not here with us?" I growled.
Lucas chuckled, "Oh, we noticed. Maybe her rejected mate wants to rekindle things with her, who knows?"
Jessica laughed along with him, and my blood boiled. How could they be so heartless?
I howled in anger and grabbed Lucas by the neck. "If you say one more word, you'll regret it."
I needed to stay focused. Sophia was out there, alone and in danger. I had to find her and bring her back to safety.
"Blake has demanded that we give him Mia in exchange for Sophia," I said, trying to keep my voice steady.
The room fell silent, and I could feel everyone's eyes on me.
"Where is Mia?" Jessica asked.
"She's being held captive by the Black Bird Wolves pack. We need to rescue her and take her to Blake to free Sophia."
Lucas scoffed, "You can't be serious. You want to give up Mia for Sophia?"
I turned to him, my eyes blazing. "Mia is not a part of this pack anymore."
I could see the hesitation in Lucas's eyes. He knew that I was right, but he didn't want to admit it.
"We need to move quickly," I said, my voice commanding. "We don't know what Blake is capable of."
The room began to buzz with activity as everyone prepared to go on the rescue mission. I couldn't shake the feeling of dread in my stomach. I needed to find Sophia and make sure that she was safe.
After some minutes, Lucas walked up to me with a worried look on his face. "Derick, are you sure about this? Giving up Mia just to save Sophia?" he asked.
I turned to him, my expression firm. "As your alpha, it's my duty to protect my pack members. Sophia is one of us, and I won't let her suffer under the hands of that monster Blake. Mia may not be part of our pack anymore, but I still care about her. We'll rescue her too," I said firmly.
Lucas sighed, shaking his head. "I just don't want us to regret this decision, Derick. Black bird wolves pack are brutal. We don't know what they'll do to us," he said.
I placed a hand on Lucas's shoulder. "I understand your concern, Lucas. But we can't let fear stop us from doing what's right. We'll come up with a plan and execute it carefully. We'll all make it back alive," I said, trying to reassure him.
Lucas nodded, still looking worried. "Alright, I trust you Derick. Let's just make sure we come back with all our pack members and Mia," he said before walking away.
I continued to plan with my pack members, making sure everyone knew their role and what to do in case things went wrong. We were all determined to bring Sophia and Mia back safely, no matter what.
As we set out to ambush black bird wolves pack, I could feel the tension in the air. The plan was risky, but we had to do it. We couldn't let Blake win.
As we got closer to the mansion, we could feel the tension in the air. We all knew that this could be a potentially deadly mission, but we were prepared to do whatever it takes to get Mia back and bring her home.
Lucas and Jessica were walking alongside me, and I could sense their anxiety. "Are you guys ready for this?" I asked them.
Lucas nodded. "As ready as we'll ever be," he said. "Just tell us what to do, alpha."
I smiled at him, appreciating his dedication to the pack. "We need to be smart about this," I said. "We can't just charge in blindly. We need to find a way to distract them and take them by surprise."
Jessica chimed in. "Maybe we could create a diversion," she suggested. "Draw their attention away from the mansion and then sneak in."
I nodded, considering her idea. "That could work," I said. "But we need to make sure that we don't get caught in the crossfire. We don't know what kind of weapons they have, so we need to be careful. And as for Miranda, make sure you avoid her, at all cost."
As we approached the mansion, we could see several guards patrolling the perimeter. We hid behind some trees and watched them for a few minutes, trying to come up with a plan.
Suddenly, Lucas grabbed my arm. "Look," he whispered, pointing towards the east side of the mansion. "There's a window that's been left open. Maybe we could sneak in through there."
I peered through the branches and saw the open window. It was on the second floor, which meant we would need to climb up there somehow. But it could work.
"All right," I said. "Here's what we'll do. Jessica, you and some of the others create a distraction on the other side of the mansion. Draw their attention away from the window. Lucas and I will climb up and try to sneak in."
Jessica nodded, and we all split up, each heading towards our designated areas. As we moved towards the mansion, my heart was pounding in my chest. I knew that this was the most dangerous mission we had ever undertaken, but I also knew that we had to save Mia.
We reached the window and carefully climbed up to the second floor. Once we were inside, we made our way down the hallway, staying close to the walls and avoiding any guards that we came across.
Finally, we reached a door that we suspected led to the dungeon where Mia was being held captive. I tried the handle, but it was locked.
"Stand back," Lucas said, stepping forward. He raised his foot and kicked the door with all his might, and it burst open.
We rushed inside, ready to face whatever dangers lay ahead. But as we searched the cells, we found nothing. Mia was nowhere to be seen.
Suddenly, we heard a loud noise from outside. We rushed to the window and looked down. The black bird wolves pack had discovered us, and they were coming towards us with weapons in their hands.
We had been discovered. But we weren't going down without a fight. I quickly, shifted to my wolf form, ready for the attack.
