"Uhuk-uhuk."
Weeby gasped in surprise, as the impact of the table in her seat made her choke on the mineral water she was drinking. Now, the water was slightly splattered on her uniform and stool.
Twisting the bottle cap tightly and placing it under her desk, Weeby finally stared with her super-sharp eyes at the source of the sound. Before looking to the side, she had already guessed who the person was who was making noise on a morning like this.
As soon as Weeby's gaze collided with that person, Weeby rolled her eyes, she was always annoyed when dealing with guys like this.
"Seven o'clock, fifteen minutes, good! New record for bothering me!"
Indeed, this was the first time Marcell had bothered Weeby on a morning like this, even with Weeby's fresh appearance.
Not feeling guilty, Marcell just showed his little grin, grinning without sin.
"By, I'm asking you for a favor." Without being told, Marcell immediately sat down in front of Weeby, looking at the girl in front of him with eyes that pierced so deeply.
"Favor? What?" Weeby immediately gasped, also looking at Marcell's face, which continued to show a pleading look.
"You want to help me, right?"
"First, I don't promise. If I do, you'll ask for something else."
A quick shake of the head from Marcell quickly changed Weeby's expression to a confused one, until the girl's thick eyebrows almost came together.
"No, you have to do what I want, just this time By," Marcell begged once again, this time more convincingly. Without waiting, Marcell placed his large palm on the back of Weeby's hand, then grasped it as tightly as possible. After realizing, a few seconds later, Weeby immediately brushed it off roughly.
"What already?"
Marcell gasped slightly, unable to believe Weeby agreed, but he tried to change his expression so as not to be too surprised. It was indeed that easy for Marcell.
"Uh wait, why should I help you? You often bother me, it's easy for you to just ask for help, I can't, I won't help you." Weeby now stormed in, spouting her long words. She changed her mind.
"Don't be like that By, don't you really feel sorry for me?"
Weeby's forehead now showed a clear frown, narrowing the corners of her eyes, she explored Marcell's face suspiciously, wanting to find a gap where there was a lie from that face.
"Why would I feel sorry for a boy like—"
Weeby was immediately choked, her words stuck in the back of her throat, her chest heated up, and her breathing suddenly stopped.
When Marcell showed a puppy-eyed look on his face, Weeby suddenly clenched her jaw, locking her mouth tightly.
Two seconds passed, and Weeby blinked her eyes, Marcell's face with such an expression even disgusted Weeby.
For Weeby, the first impression when she saw him earlier was that Marcell looked very silly, not worthy of such a look being stuck on his face.
"Well, what do you want?" snapped Weeby in the end, too lazy to serve Marcell again more precisely, although at the last point Weeby would refuse, it was certain and predictable that Marcell would not give up, and the boy's effort was indeed worth appreciating. Always waiting for the other person to give in, and Weeby must be the victim of all that.
Marcell's face immediately interrupted, straightening his body so much that the smile printed on the tip of his lips seemed to make the boy the happiest human being on this earth.
"Are you sure you want to help me?" Marcell still asked again, just to be sure. He didn't want to be caught in the trick that Weeby was now playing. Weeby's face seemed to be the only object here, and Marcell continued to stare at Weeby straight until Weeby looked uncomfortable.
"Hurry up, my mind changes quickly." Weeby snapped so sarcastically, but her face still looked the same, always showing her jutting face to Marcell.
Sometimes Marcell also wondered why Weeby was always fierce with him, Marcell did know that he often grabbed the emotions of the girl in front of him, but what he thought and felt strange was why Weeby always behaved like that. But, when Marcell looked quietly at Weeby, who was chatting with other people, the girl looked ordinary, the fierce look that was often shown to her did not appear at all in front of other people. Of course, there was no escaping it, nor was there any getting rid of it, Marcell was already holding in that resentment. How angry was Weeby with him?
Five minutes after Marcell told the story, Weeby tried to think back, digesting one by one Marcell's words and absorbing them into her brain, massaging her forehead, which sometimes felt dizzy. However, she now understood about it Marcell's problem, a problem that Weeby found quite ridiculous and even absurd.
Weeby then shook her head in amazement, unable to deny it, Marcell's attitude made her both amused and unable to put it into words. Weeby often held back her laughter, and ended up with it on the tip of her tongue.
After a long time of mutual silence, Weeby raised his head, and then his eyes collided with Marcell's eyes that seemed to be looking at him. The boy was definitely waiting for an answer from Weeby, as if the words that Weeby would lay down were the boy's life destiny.
"I can help," Weeby replied quickly, without waiting for the next minute, Marcell had already found his smile in the first second after Weeby said such words. Marcell cheered excitedly, saying thank you dozens of times, even Weeby's ears seemed to hurt from the boy's babble.
"There's no need to be overbearing, I just feel sorry for you!"
"No matter what, the important thing is that you promised, and you have to keep it, By. You promised, and it's a sin if you break it. God will be angry, you can't cancel it all, you can't!"
"Damn, you're so naggy, yeah, I promise."
For the umpteenth time, Weeby was annoyed with Marcell's strange attitude, why try to talk that long, anyway? Weeby would definitely keep, breaking one's promise was not the girl's middle name. So, there was no need to doubt.
"But there are conditions!"
Marcell's smile that was so wide, in one second, immediately disappeared, changing his expression as fast as lightning. He looked at Weeby with a shady look, his cheeks already puffed up with annoyance after Weeby's words.
Sighing in annoyance, Marcell asked dully, "What the hell?" His face was now scowling.
"What about the trash?"
"Never mind, I told Mr. Subroto everything, so he revoked the sentence," Marcell explained casually. He had thought that Weeby would ask for a very unreasonable condition. In fact, it was just that.
"How come?" Weeby couldn't shake off her shock, Marcell's words made her choke, and her throat suddenly dried up like a desert.
As far as Weeby knew, Mr. Subroto was a teacher who was not easily persuaded, especially when it came to punishment. The teacher would not hesitate to give leniency to students who received deadly punishment from him. But, whatever Marcell said to him deserves two thumbs up.
"Marcell is like that, there's no doubt about it," Marcell said excitedly, puffing his chest forward and patting his chest several times. He always does that when bragging.
Weeby, who saw this, immediately sneered.
"Anyway, you can't forget, you have to bring the money tomorrow, I'm ashamed of Resti."
"Yes, 50 dollars, right? No need to talk, I'm tired of hearing it."
"Just in case you forget." Marcell suddenly pouted.
"I won't, Marcell, you're pretending to invite your girlfriend to a cafe when your wallet is empty, you bastard!"
"I already explained to you, my wallet disappeared yesterday!" Marcell snapped, hit Weeby on the head with the girl's book, then quickly got up from the chair and was ready to go to his own bench again.
"Marcell, I don't want to help you, I won't!" Weeby said it loudly.
After that, the class started. Time moved so fast that, fortunately, Weeby immediately left the classroom when she got a short text message from Resti.
As the seconds turned into minutes, Weeby increased her footsteps, exerting all her strength to drag her small feet towards the school rooftop.
We don't know why Resti suddenly asked her to meet her there, but Weeby felt that she had no problem with that girl at all.
At first, Weeby flatly refused, but Resti's insistent will made Weeby sigh in frustration.
Weeby walked hurriedly while thinking about other things, until she did not realize that she had arrived at her destination. Her eyes continued to wander, and she found Resti standing, looking at the hustle and bustle of the city seen from up here, her long hair flying where the wind went. Weeby stared at Resti's back for a few minutes.
Realizing that there was a sound interrupting her sense of hearing, Resti immediately turned around and found Weeby standing not far from her. Eye contact between them lasted for a few seconds, until Resti's frivolous smile became apparent.
Weeby was still on the spot, but she had no intention of moving her eyes that were still fixed on Resti's eyes, Weeby continued to look at her, as if from the look she was giving her, Resti would understand that she was in need of clarity as to why Resti had asked to meet her in this place.
"Good, I like that you didn't break your promise to meet me here." Resti's voice echoed, and as a conversation starter, she stepped forward, approaching Weeby, who was three meters away.
After arriving at the spot, Resti smiled sarcastically, continuing to look at Weeby with eyes that radiated a lot of emphasis.
"That's not my type," Weeby said quickly, looking at Resti intently. She tried not to be afraid of this girl in front of her.
Obviously, the brief scowl and cynical roll of her eyeballs could be seen in the look on Resti's face.
"You didn't ask me why I asked you to meet me here?" Resti immediately throws out a question about the original purpose of asking Weeby to comply with her wishes.
Before answering that question, Weeby puffed up her cheeks. She had no intention of asking, for Weeby, this was not important at all. After all, it was Resti who needed her here, wasn't it? So, it was definitely Resti who needed Weeby, not the other way around.
Even if Weeby didn't ask, Resti would definitely explain. By the look in her eyes, Resti could already tell that Weeby was not interested in this meeting at all. It wasn't entirely wrong, the two of them didn't seem to get along.
"I'll explain, and you better listen carefully."
Weeby lifted her chin high, tucking her hair that had flown away in the wind into her ears, then sharpened her hearing, and her eyes continued to watch Resti's movements.
Weeby had no intention of speaking up; she was just nodding her head lazily. Whatever it was that was related to Resti, Weeby suddenly wanted to bury herself alive. To Weeby, Resti was just a parasite that stuck to Marcell.
After ten seconds of silence, Resti returned to shower Weeby with her super sharp gaze. The corners of her eyes narrowed as she continued to stare at Weeby intently, while the object of her attention was getting uncomfortable.
In Weeby's opinion, Resti was too much of a busybody, making her cluck and chuckle. Time ticked away, but Resti had yet to speak up.
"What do you want to say?" snapped Weeby at last, already feeling annoyed.
In the end, Weeby was the one who had to lose, she threw a question sarcastically and emotionally because Resti kept stalling for time, even though Weeby didn't have that much free time.
There was a crisp laughter that soared and hit the air, the laughter was so loud that Weeby, who saw and heard it, then shuddered in horror, her goosebumps bristling.
"You can't wait, can you?" Resti teased Weeby, then smiled faintly. She folded her hands in front of her chest like she was the most powerful person in this place. Don't blame Weeby if she's annoyed to death right now.
She threw her eyeballs lazily, Weeby finally ruffled her waist, and Resti's casual attitude really took away Weeby's patience and emotional turmoil. Sometimes, Weeby couldn't understand why Marcell could be attracted to a girl like Resti.
"I'll leave now if you don't say anything," threatened Weeby, then she turned around, had just taken one step to move away, and then had to be restrained because Resti's voice interrupted her to stay where she was.
Weeby complied, turning her body around, but the look on her face was already red, Resti was right, Weeby must be angry.
There was no more loud, booming laughter as Resti's face suddenly changed in a matter of seconds. A gripping aura suddenly entered Weeby's body.
The fierce glare continued to emanate, the breathing sounded very hunting and racing, and the two girls continued to draw their eagle eyes to stab each other.
Weeby was already swallowing her saliva with difficulty, her throat felt blocked.
"I need an explanation, not like this."
Weeby cursed Resti, and it was undeniable that Resti was very scary. From the look in her eyes, Weeby seemed to be able to tell that there was a deep grudge inside. But what? Weeby herself didn't even know.
Weeby thought that, all this time, her life had absolutely nothing to do with Resti. So, what was there to be bothered about at the moment?
Indeed, Weeby knew and understood very well. Resti's actions like this must have a reason, the girl told her to meet her, there must be an important matter that must be discussed face-to-face. After all, it wouldn't make sense if Resti suddenly raised her voice and said that she hated Weeby for no reason.
Weeby's head almost exploded, and she then let out a loud scream, Resti's piercing gaze annoyed her, a gaze that really squeezed her heart. If Resti wanted to explain, why did it have to be like this? Why didn't Resti speak up?
Weeby felt like running away from this rooftop, she had been stuck in place for quite some time.
The gripping aura does not recede and disappear in time, the more it is absorbed, the more it envelops the body and merges with it.
For the umpteenth time, Weeby swallowed her saliva, occasionally closing her eyes in relief, in less than three seconds, Weeby reopened her eyelids, and the look in Resti's eyes was still the same, there didn't even seem to be any intention to switch gazes.
Like a statue, it was true. Resti seemed to be standing firmly, without any interrupting movements, with only her wavy hair following where the wind went. In fact, Weeby didn't even see Resti blink her eyes at all, during which time Weeby kept catching Resti looking at her with a hunting gleam in her eyes.
However, in the next second, Weeby immediately gasped in shock, her heart was almost out of place, and the oxygen that was floating around instantly vanished.
Weeby looked at Resti, her breathing was already labored, and her throat was getting dry. Resti's floating words made Weeby think critically.
"YOU DON'T NEED TO BOTHER MY BOYFRIEND, THIS IS YOUR LAST WARNING!"
