Although it was difficult and painful in both mind and body, Weeby eventually overcame the challenge. It's been three days now, and Weeby has been taking her father's medication on time.
It was agonizing for her body, but what else could she do? Weeby herself was afraid of disobeying her father.
Weeby let out a frustrated sigh, clenching her eyelids to relax for a while. The pounding of feet on the ground could be heard, creating a soothing sound, while coinciding with that activity, the person Weeby had been waiting for since ten minutes ago finally came.
Weeby caught the gesture of the tall boy who was walking. The way he stepped his feet alone, Weeby had guessed correctly. Weeby chose to temper her emotions, she didn't want to continue to vent the fire of anger. For a moment, Weeby closed her eyes again, intending to make her breathing regular as before, and cool down the temperature of her head, which was now very hot.
"Hey, I'm here, you're sleeping, you weird chick!"
The boy shouted, slapping Weeby's cheek sarcastically, and immediately Weeby returned to baring her eyeballs. She was surprised, this boy in front of her really made her heart sway excitedly, even though the last time Weeby saw him before closing her eyes, he was still quite a distance from her.
And now, this very second, that boy had arrived in front of Weeby. One more thing that made Weeby's head heat up again was the boy's shout that was really out of bounds, loud, and painful to the ears, especially when coupled with a slap on the cheek with his wide hand, really not knowing himself. Already late, snapped anyway.
"I'm not sleeping!" Weeby quickly denied it, then she motioned for the boy in front of her to sit beside her because there was something Weeby wanted to discuss. And it was very important.
"Whatever you want, what do you want to say, I don't have time," he snapped again, and shortly after the sentence escaped his lips, he sat next to Weeby.
Weeby shook her head quickly and asked, "Why are you late? You promised to be on time, but what's the proof? Ten minutes late, right?" Weeby sneered, looking at the boy beside her intently. Half mocked.
"Well, I went out with Resti for only ten minutes, it's rare for people to go out for only a few minutes, I'm probably the world's newest record," said the boy, grinning happily and showing his neatly lined teeth.
Weeby exhaled softly, unable to understand the boy, who was sometimes very strange, sometimes eccentric in nature, but soon returned to his original nature. How annoying!
"Whatever you want, the important thing is that I want to talk to you, and this is very important!"
"What? You just want to get angry, right? Stale By!" Marcell replied quickly, leaning his back on the chair, then gave Weeby a dismissive look. Not forgetting, he also folded his hands on his chest.
Again and again, Weeby shook her head, "that's not it, it's about you," Weeby replied seriously, her facial expressions convincing.
"The debt problem this morning, are you senile or have you lost your memory, I've already paid my debts, huh?!" Marcell spoke in a stern and half-shouted tone, his eyes bulging with warning.
Indeed, sometimes it's as annoying as this when talking to this boy, who always storms out without a second thought. Weeby always spouted angry emotions when dealing with Marcell.
"Can you listen to me talk first? You've been yelling all this time. I'm not talking about your debt or getting angry with you," Weeby explained that she was half annoyed and lazy when actually talking to Marcell; she just felt sorry for the boy, but when she received a reply with such annoying remarks, she suddenly became annoyed.
"So what do you want to talk about?" asked Marcell.
"So listen to me first."
"What the hell, you didn't even begin to explain," Marcell snorted, getting annoyed with Weeby.
For a moment, Weeby pumped her lungs to take in as much air as possible, it didn't take long, and she then let it out with relief.
"I want-" For some reason, Weeby's lips seemed to have difficulty saying words, as if they were frozen and it took a long time to thaw them. Weeby twisted her thin lips, brushing against Marcell's face, who was showing vertical lines on his forehead, confused.
"What do you want?" Marcell urged impatiently, he improved his position, this time leaning more towards Weeby. Who knows what the girl would say, but Marcell was very curious.
Weeby closed her eyes. Why is it so difficult like this? Even though she had planned everything so as not to be nervous. Especially seeing Marcell, who kept urging Weeby to immediately release her words that were still stuck on her tongue.
However, it wasn't as easy as she thought, Weeby was controlling her heartbeat, and it was really difficult to say those words.
After monologuing in her mind, Weeby finally began to speak up.
"Cell, I want you to break up with Resti," Weeby said, her voice weakening.
There was a pause between them, Weeby chose to close her eyes while biting her lower lip, meanwhile, Marcell was stunned by Weeby's words, his mouth slightly open, creating a confused look on his face.
A second later, Weeby raised his face, looking suspiciously at Marcell, who was laughing out loud. Weeby was even more confused about Marcell, even though what Weeby said had no element of comedy at all.
"You want me and Resti to break up?" Marcell confirmed, but his facial gestures still held laughter as if what Weeby said was very useless.
Marcell's words were not entirely wrong, of course Marcell did something like that. How could he not laugh when there was no sign of a storm or thunder in broad daylight, but suddenly Weeby told him to break up with Resti? That sounded strange and ambiguous, right?
Weeby then nodded twice, her gaze looking straight at her shoes.
"Why are you suddenly telling me to break up with Resti? You have no right at all to tell me to do that." Marcell said in an understated tone of voice, then raised his eyebrows, looking at Weeby's face intently.
"I'm just-"
"Oh, I see. You asked me to break up with Resti because you have a crush on me, huh? You asked me to be your boyfriend, right?"
Before Weeby could finish her sentence, Marcell immediately jumped in.
Confidently, Marcell spoke out loud, as if what he had just said was the truth.
Hearing that, of course Weeby didn't accept it, and she snorted as she rotated her eyeballs. Lazy. Who would want to date Marcell? Indeed, Marcell actually has a face above average for a boy, but his nature sometimes makes Weeby's heart feel like it's being squeezed.
"That's not it, I just want to tell you that it's actually--"
Suddenly Weeby swallowed back her words that were about to slide freely in the air, she swallowed her saliva again, looking astonished at Resti, who suddenly came from the front.
Weeby held her breath, she didn't want to say that very important sentence. If she continued with her words, Resti would definitely interrupt and cuss her out.
Resti was really a troublemaker, and now Weeby was unable to say that fact, a fact that was very interesting to talk about.
"Resti, why are you here and not going home?" Marcell jumped in and looked at Resti questioningly.
Weeby still got a look of horror from Resti, as if she were prey that should be destroyed alive. However, two seconds later, Resti turned her head, and ended up on Marcell's face.
"You're okay, right?" Marcell asked again, this time seemingly checking Resti's body from top to bottom. After that, a sigh of relief escaped from his nostrils.
Weeby, who saw the drama scene in front of her, then snorted, for her, Marcell was too much for his girlfriend. Okay, Weeby did not intend to patronize, but Marcell's actions really made her eyes hurt.
"I'm fine," Resti quickly dismissed Marcell's hand that was holding her shoulder, saying, "I should have asked, why are you here?" Resti snarled with a deafening snarl, her eyeballs almost popping out of their sockets. "Why Weeby?"
For a moment, Marcell turned to Weeby, "Weeby told me to meet," Marcell answered honestly, his finger pointing at Weeby and right at Weeby's face.
Resti smiled faintly, without even asking, Resti already knew what Weeby would say to Marcell.
"Together? What do you want to talk about?" asked Resti as she made an innocent face, too contrived to make Weeby chuckle.
Resti's pretense really caught Weeby's attention, and at the same time, she smiled bitterly.
"Weeby suddenly told me to break up with you, so I obeyed," Marcell replied clearly, his eyes fixed on Weeby's eyes. His smile that showed mockery also came out.
As Resti had suspected, there was no way that Weeby would ask Marcell to meet him without some sort of ulterior motive.
"You weird girl, are you telling Marcell to break up with me so you can date Marcell? If you're jealous, just say so, don't play like this." In one breath, Resti spoke passionately, very passionately, in issuing such scathing words.
Feeling insulted and having her heart squeezed tightly, Weeby immediately responded, "Who would want to steal your boyfriend? If you accuse me, let me have proof, without proof, it could lead to slander," she said at the end of her sentence. She deliberately emphasized it so that Resti would know what Weeby meant by that.
Resti was silent. Unable to comment, her brain was out of words, all she could do was grunt as she crossed her arms in front of her chest.
"Marcell, you have to trust me, she's not good for you," Weeby pleaded while pointing at Resti, her voice sounding loud. Resti immediately gasped, straightening up, the tail of her eyes staring at Weeby with a face that was ready to spew hot lava.
"Are you better and prettier than me? Don't look in the mirror, or don't you have one? Think with your brain!" She shouted sarcastically.
"I know you're prettier, but at least my heart is better than yours." Weeby smiled faintly as the words slipped freely from her lips.
"Enough!" Marcell jerked firmly, and his tough soul immediately came out. The two girls who were busy exchanging words immediately turned their heads, looking at Marcell with a confused look.
Marcell's gaze flashed like fire, his emotions exploded at the behavior of the two girls in front of him, and Marcell's ears buzzed to catch the loud voice.
"Now I ask you, what is your character in telling me and Resti to break up?" His tone of voice seemed not to be playing, his pupils dilated, and it felt like there was no patience in this situation. Marcell wanted to immediately weigh Weeby's answer.
"She's pregnant, you have to break up with Resti, even though I really hate you, but I just feel sorry for you, I don't want you to be asked to take responsibility for this girl. Resti is sneaky, Marcell, you have to trust me!"
Weeby's breath seemed to be labored after the words, and her face was too gloomy for Marcell to believe in her words. Weeby really wanted to be good to Marcell this time.
Again and again, Weeby's ears only caught the sound of bland laughter coming from Marcell, a moment later, their gazes clashed again.
"Obviously, because you hate me, you asked me to break up with Resti to make you happy, right? If I break up, you're the one who's happy," Marcell said loudly after the crisp laughter disappeared into the wind. Marcell's words were also rewarded by Resti with a reassuring nod of her head.
It was tiring, but Weeby was still trying to hold on, now she just wanted to open Marcell's eyes.
"I have something for you, maybe this thing can stun you." Weeby now turned to the bag on her back and began to look for the object to show Marcell, yes, even though this was not the right time, Weeby's patience had run out.
Now it was Resti who was shocked, she already knew what Weeby wanted to show, it must be her test pack. Her gaze now immediately turned to Marcell, who looked curious about what Weeby was going to show.
"It's getting dark, Marcell, let's take me home, my mom called earlier and said she couldn't pick me up."
Resti broke the silence that had been created for a few seconds, Marcell was stunned by his girlfriend's words, then he looked up. Sure enough, the sky was getting dark.
Weeby's movement was also stopped by Resti's words. Since Weeby knew the typical girl, it was predictable that Resti was trying to dissuade Marcell from seeing the item she was going to give him. Unable to resist, Weeby sneered, and she abandoned her intention to show the test pack, putting it back into the bag.
"Sorry, I can't see what you're going to show me, I have to take Resti home."
Weeby's gesture looked flat, neither nodding nor saying anything, she just stayed silent while staring at the movements of the two teenagers in front of her, who began to move away from her.
Weeby sighed heavily again, she really regretted Marcell's attitude towards Resti, it was too much. Especially when Marcell is seen wearing his jacket on Resti's small body.
It's not jealousy, but Marcell is too deceived by Resti. That girl is too good at playing Marcell.
"Sooner or later, your secret will be revealed, Resti, and I'll show you this test pack as soon as possible."
The sarcastic words only echoed in Weeby's footsteps as she began to leave the park. Her steps were getting faster, not because she was afraid of the night at school, but because she suddenly remembered her father, who hated it when his daughter came home late, especially at night.
