When Mafia's Mate Chapter 26

It seems everything will crumble before then but then it seems the crumbling is a soft landing for another scene. Maddie Dokkops somehow knows the plan of his brother John but he wasn't fully aware of where it'll lead them.

He paced around the vast space, the empty sofas, the glasses, and wines, thinking what's going to be like dying just like that. That scene at Figma P shocked him. He thought, right there in the car, he'll not survive it. He thought he'll finally die.

F12 walked in erstwhile he asked him to report to John and to call Elvira and ask about her progress.

"Sir, Elvira has gotten some of their men to her camp and I did report to him."

"Alright," he said while walking towards the glasses placed neatly on a table with curves like it's from Hadid's.

"I can go now?"

"Details on Elvira's progress. Get that to me before noon. I need to be alone now."

"Alright, sir and Jenn didn't die. She…"

"I know! The injection I gave her will only make sure she complete the mission for us. It's better to use her power before she could control it."

"Yes, sir. She killed Catherine…"

"You don't mean it. Bring me the clip right away."

"Alright, sir but it ended there."

"I want to see it. And what happened to those Sona bitch?"

"Something disconnected the camera. I wonder how that is possible."

"Get the clip."

"Alright, sir."

He continued pacing around for a minute then returned to the table. He grabbed a glass filled it with wine and drained it in a gulp. He knows John will have the clip too. He knows he thinks faster and more strategically than him.

When they were younger John will always tease him running him down in games but making him feel he deserve to be honored. He would say to him then:

"Brother, a man's honor needs to be intact. That's when you leave to the fullest. Who knows what comes next. Come on run with him."

He became stronger after attending military school, fighting in the wars, and cried over his loss. One day he and John lost their families. It was a war, an internal war that led to death and family banishment, and hatred and sadness.

That day they had gone to Smallsvile to visit the bower. Then it was livelier and Martha's great grandmother lived it in. She was a historian of the ancient world and psychoanalyst with an interest in the paranormal. She never really made anything out of her findings but John and Maddie know what she's capable of.

She could have told them their family will die. She saw it before it happened but she couldn't tell them because she knew they wouldn't listen even though they knew what she is capable of. But that day she warned them.

"You're facing a disaster now. A major one and more are coming." She laughed.

John looked at Maddie, they were younger then and the room was darker because electricity wasn't created.

"What are you saying?" Maddie asked. John turned to walk out. He seemed to understand her.

"Wait. Before you get back home, they'll be all gone. I can see their cries in the streets now."

They both ran out but asked their men to get rid of her. She could have told them this before they got to her.

The arrows slid through her splattering blood all around. She died and years later her daughter took over.

Maddie stopped pacing. He sat in one of the chairs wanting to focus his thoughts, but something kept probing him and it was like spinach in a blond garden.

"F12," he shouted, "I need to get go John."

"Alright, sir. The clip is ready and the car is ready too."

"Are you fine now, love?" Alpha said, looking at Catherine. She had been brought to the hospital after the incident and Alpha hasn't gotten a chance to explain what happened to Damien. He sat outside not talking to Alpha. He saw him dripping with blood in his mouth and Catherine was down in blood too. He would have fought Alpha but the love he has for him weakened him and he resolved to passivism.

Catherine opened her eyes and managed to nod.

"I'm good. The pain is going. Where is Damien?"

"He should be outside, in the waiting room. You would like to speak with him?"

"Let him. Just wanting to know he's fine."

"Yeah, he's," he scratched his neck. Alpha knows he needed to explain to Damien and he knows he would have killed him if not for what prevented him. He saw it in his eyes. That rage to bury him alive but then he saw that weakness too.

"Do you need anything?"

"Shh. We aren't even close to home. How many days have we been here?"

"Just four days. You need to rest."

"Oh my gosh! Four days. That's too much."

"You need to get better."

"But why did she shoot me?"

"Catherine, not now. Let's concentrate on you for now."

Damien walked in holding a bottle of soda. He doesn't want to look at Alpha. He still feels like he needs to punch him.

"You want this?" He said, pointing the soda to Alpha.

"Thanks, man." He collected it from him without saying anything else to them. He walked up to Catherine and held her right hand. He smiled.

"Get well soon, Cathy. I was scared."

"I'll for you, Damien. I'll be fine." She smiled. The cannula in her left hand continued dropping contents into her body. Life continues dropping contents into their lives and at some point, it seems the whole of existence is just a simulation in a paranormal adventure.

"Damien," Alpha said, " We need to talk."

John Dokkops sat in his office facing a mirror placed before a chair he used when he read books on everything then in the 1880s. It was a lovely time he always told visitors but today he seems angry at something. He stood up and walked towards the window. To him, that's where the world rests. He gets inspiration when standing by the window looking at everything his eyes can reach and thinking of possibilities.

His compound is larger than most in Bartók. The other elites couldn't compete with him. They know how well his power is beyond them and somehow they are compelled to respect that.

Maddie's car drove in. He saw it from the window. His office is on the highest side of the mansion and he made sure few people have access to him. Maddie, his brother, is one.

"I need to know completely what is happening," Maddie said. John passed him a cup of coffee and said:

"Everything that has been happening you are aware of them but sometimes we can fully suppress the universe to our laws. I wanted to have her tamed. You know that."

"Yeah. But…"

"I know, brother. She became so powerful that you think science can't explain her and you are asking to know how she got that power after injecting her."

"You have answers to my questions. I only injected her in the neck as you've said."

"She has an active memory of her brother. We've been tracking that for a while now. Alex is a great part of her life. So we used neurofeedback on her, gave her some characteristics of Alex since we have his body, we confused her of who killed him."

"I know this could be possible. Never knew you finally did it. But the walls collapsed when she was trying to talk."

"I have seen the clips. It's her particles melting into the particles in her surrounding. They get to be chaotic when in force motions and since she's linked with Alex she gets to interact with the other realms."

"Hmm! I think…"

"Maddie I understand. She is not a threat. While she's out there. She'll get rid of our enemies. She's going to Smallsvile."

"We are winning. That's what I want to hear. Those kids nearly killed us. They should be dead by now or dying sooner."

"The guards are on them. Got Intel, they are in Gim hospital."

"Great."

"But they are not dying now. We'll let them get back to Smallsvile. It's good their loved ones see them die. That will increase the fear. And with fear, we get more control."

"You're right. I should rest my mind. I don't want to die."

"Once we nab our enemies we have nothing to worry about. It's better to get rid of them now then repopulate with her hybrids."

"The world away from the Islands will want them. We could finally control them all."

"That's it. Though we have been cessated from them since. Atlantis is gone and other worlds like ours."

"Let's get them all under us. The adventure of world power is greater."

"Let's see how it goes with the werewolves and those humans first."
