You Belong To Me book 2 Chapter 11

Seeing that I had lost sight of Hinn Carlos and Ivana, I glared at Clara as if she had been sent to distract me. “Just get lost!” I snapped and turned to leave but she blocked my path with a creased forehead.

“Why are you so rude to me?” She asked me almost the same question Ivana always asks.

“Because you are a pest and I hate pests.” I glared at her. “Now move.”

“I don’t care if you see me as a pest, I only wish you could be friendly to me, a smile and polite words would do,” Clara uttered the words that made me think of Ivana. Was I that bad?

I exhaled softly. “I am sorry to burst your bubbles Clara, I don’t make friends with just anyone and the only reason I am talking to you right now is that you are Hinn Carlos' cousin, that is all.”

“You don’t have to say it that way,” Clara mumbled, looking dejected, I gazed at her for a while and my mind was not at peace anymore. Clara was just a girl who isn’t so bad and different, she wasn’t like Katherine, and I had only shouted at her whenever I met her.

I accessed her dressing. “Why did you dress this way?” My question seemed to surprise her as she raised her head to look at me. She must be thinking I will brush her off this time too?

“It wasn’t for you though.” She told me honestly and I smiled, at least she wasn’t like the other ladies who would say they dressed just for a guy. “I have heard a lot of people talk about me always dressing like a tomboy, so I decided to prove them wrong by changing my outfit.” She smiled while adjusting her dress.

I chuckled. “Honestly speaking, I prefer you dressed like a tomboy than this way.” I pointed at her outfit, she was wearing a blue dress and sneakers, her white bag crossed over her shoulder and she did terrible makeup that made her look uglier than before.

Clara frowned and when I thought she would storm off, a smile escaped her lips. “I thought I was the only one who noticed how terrible I dressed, thank you, I will just stick to wearing my normal outfits.” She exhaled sharply. “Goodbye Robin, it was nice talking to you.”

Clara turned to leave and I felt bad that I had to tell her the truth, now I wish I had told a white lie instead. I shook my head. I am not so good at telling white lies.

I was about to head to the practice room when my phone buzzed in my pocket. I took it out to see a message from my mother, so I hurried over to my car and set for home.

“Mom!” I called out immediately. I got out of the car and headed into the mansion. “Mom!” I ran into her room and saw her packing her bags.

“Oh Robin, didn’t know you would be back so fast after seeing my message.” She glanced at me and continued packing her bags.

“Mom, is there something wrong in the company?” I walked over to her front and saw her put some documents in the bag she had packed.

“No son, I just have an urgent business trip to embark on, I sent you a message telling you that, why are you here with this serious face.” My mother mused about my look and walked over her drawer, taking out more files she glanced through and put into her bag.

“You gave me a scare, that's why you suddenly said you were going on a business trip.” I sat down on her bed, crossing my legs. I picked up one file that lay there and flipped the pages, but my mother took it from me.

“Don’t touch these.” She placed it into her bag. “It is a confidential file.”

I chuckled. “I am your son, I can go through it.” I looked at my mother who rolled her eyes at me, she was so cute when she does that.

“No you don’t,” She glanced around the room. “I just hope I am not forgetting anything.” She muttered to herself.

“How long do you plan to stay?” I asked curiously.

“Perhaps, three days or five days at most.” She Zips her bag and hung it over her shoulder.
