You Belong To Me book 2 Chapter 44

Everything seems to be going as normal today. We practised for a long time and surprisingly I was getting good at it. Chloe was a big help and indeed I didn’t see myself as a doll when she used me to show the rest how to make the move.

I felt like I was doing well and I was almost getting proud that I was the centre of the choreographer's teacher's attention when I tripped and fell on my face, making the rest of the students who already hate me laugh at me.

Can this day ever go well for me?

"Are you okay?" Chloe asked me as she helped me up.

"I am fine." I made an awkward chuckle to show them that I didn’t lose a tooth, no one ever dared laugh at me while I was in the countryside, but it was different here, not when I was provoking others.

"Okay," Chloe said as she turned to the rest. "We will all take it from there." She made a clapping gesture and the others stood up.

I walked over to where Kate stood as we all fell in place to start the dance practice.

"We should teach them a lesson," Kate said as we both walked out of the practice hall together, I know Kate always wants to give one of the mean girls a punch, but I know she will end up crying for pity on the person if they bleed.

Kate was a strong girl, but she cries whenever she sees blood, she may add fire to the flame, but she backs off when it calls for a fight and I always end up having to defend her.

I could remember when we were kids and she would always call me her Knight in shining armour, that should be something she should call a guy but since we were five and six, it was okay.

"I don't have time to fight Kate, and we are no longer kids to start with, we should only tolerate them," I said with a giggle but Kate frowned at me.

"Well, I won't stand watching them bully me or mock us!" Kate curled her lips up with a hmph and 8 only chuckles, Kate must think she was a superhero right now.

"It's not funny Ivana." Kate scorned.

"Kate, I'm not the one you should get angry at, there they are." I pointed at the entrance of the hall as the other's came out.

Kate looked in their direction with a frown on her face, while she was busy glaring at them, I was waiting for Hinn Carlos and his crew to step out in hopes to see Robin.

I was so focused on today's practice that I didn’t glance over to look at Robin or the other's, just like I said I was ready to focus on my dreams and Chloe made sure I didn't have a chance to look over there.

"Let's go, Ivana," Kate told me and I looked at her. It seems like she has given up on glaring at the other girls. When I looked back at the entrance, the other's weren't there.

I watched Hinn Carlos, Lukas, Nicholas and Ryan step out of the hall but I didn’t see Robin.

"Let's go, Ivana," Kate said again, my attention was still at the entrance door of the hall and I saw the director, Chloe and Ava leaving.

Could it be that Robin is still in there?

"Hold on Kate." I ran over to the entrance of the hall and Kate came behind me as I walked to the hall, scanning the hall I discovered it was empty and Robin was not inside.

"What is wrong with Ivana?" Kate looked at me curiously. "Who are you looking for?" She also glanced around the hall.

"Did you by any chance see Robin?" I asked her and she looked at me quizzically. "I didn’t see him leave the hall." I looked at Kate.

"Now you told the truth, Ivana," Kate giggled. "So all these while I was glaring at those mean girls, you were busy looking out for Robin?" Kate curled her lips up jokingly.

I know what she meant but at this moment I needed to find Robin, I haven’t seen him after he drove me to school, I was also with Kate all day and we both came into the practice hall together and my bad that I did not look over to the corner of the room where Robin always stays with the other boys.

"I have to find Robin, Kate, did you see him?" I said seriously and Kate could feel the rush in my voice and the seriousness on my face.

"I didn’t see him in the practice hall today, he didn’t come, I thought you noticed that too." Kate was no longer smiling, she was now staring at me quizzically.

"Shit! I didn’t notice that, I was so occupied with the practice that I noticed he was not here." I ran out of the practice hall and Kate was behind me too.

Robin had heard the saddest words yesterday and he had suddenly turned okay today, I was silly not to keep an eye on him.

He had told me about practice today, but he didn't show up. Where exactly was Robin?

Terror filled my eyes as the thought of Robin curled up in a lonely place in school crying gripped me and I looked around almost in tears.

"You are scaring me, Ivana, what precisely is wrong, why are you so anxious and looking like the worst has happened?" Kate asked me.

"Kate, I have to find Robin, please, I truly do. Could you help me?" I asked her and Kate, who was still curious about it, nods her head in response.

I know she has a lot of questions but right now I have to see Robin and make sure he is okay.

"I will go this direction." Kate pointed. "I will let you know once I see him." Kate ran off towards the left direction and I went towards the right in search of him.

I looked at the field and the resting zone, I searched in the library and the hallway and yet I didn’t see him.

I passed by Hinn Carlos practice room, peering in, Robin wasn't there, the only ones I saw was Hinn Carlos, Lukas and Nicholas, they were saying something that I couldn’t hear, not that I cared to eavesdrop, searching and making sure Robin was okay should be my priority now.

Mrs Jane has left me to watch him, I was stupid to have not looked out for him, what was I thinking, that Robin would be okay after a night just because he smiled at me and said something annoying.

Where the fuck was my concentration? Why didn’t I look in their direction all day?

I ran to the school parking lot, Robin’s car was there which made me relieved that he was still in school at least and I could still get to him.

I turned to keep searching when I ran into Ryan.

"Look who we have here," Ryan said with a giggle, I was in the mood for his sarcastic words, I brushed past him but halted when I remembered he was close to Robin.

"Have you seen Robin?" I asked him without hesitation and Ryan rolled his eyes at me.

"Thought you wanted to snub me?" Ryan lifts the corner of his lips. "Walk along then…" He waved me like a fly and I knitted my brows.

"Have you seen him, yes or no?!" My loud voice surprised me as it also surprised Ryan, it only reminded me of when I asked Clara the same question and she responded almost quickly.

"I saw him heading to the rooftop," Ryan told me and before he could say another word I had already run off.

My heart rate quickened, I don’t know why I felt this rush and coldness around me just in seconds, I didn’t like this feeling.

I was in a hurry as I passed through students, bumping them as I went, but all I wanted to do was get to Robin as quickly as I could.

I pushed open the rooftop door and the cold air welcomed me. I quickly glanced around the rooftop and my eyes dilated at the sight of what I saw.

"No Robin!" I shouted as I made my way over to Robin who was about to jump off the roof.

I gasped!
