Alpha Jason Rogue Luna Chapter 18

(Time is reversed to the moment Megan got to Blaire and the kids.)

I came up behind Blaire and the kids until I was standing next to her. Along with the smell of blood, the youngsters who were crowded together behind me were emitting the terrible fragrance of terror. I could see Blaire's tail flicking apprehensively. We both kept our eyes fixed on the band of outlaws. We were significantly outnumbered, and the situation did not seem favorable to us. It was two against six, and it was likely that none of us would make it out alive, much alone the defenseless kids.

My body suddenly felt the need to defend me. I wanted to taste the warm blood of my foes on my tongue and I needed them to be safe. The idea of slitting their necks almost made my lips drool. An unknown person was attempting to approach from my right, in my blind area. They walked on a twig, and as it snapped loudly, I jerked my body around. In preparation for launching itself at the defenseless kids, its shoulders were trembling and its body was nestled low to the earth. I quickly changed my position in midair and tackled it to the ground as it jumped off the ground. We landed hard on the ground and rolled about. He came down on his stomach in front of me, and I came down on my feet, hunched over, my fur sticking up to give the impression that I was larger. I made a mental declaration that no one would be allowed to touch these kids.

I swiftly stepped in its way as it tried to circle me, keeping a distance between him and the kids. One came up behind me and grabbed my hips with its claws. The more I moved, the deeper its claws sank.

As I pushed the wolf into the tree, I felt a surge of strength pass through me. Its corpse sagged from my back and dropped next to me on the ground, panting ominously and with blood dripping from its lips. He again sunk his claws into my tender underside as I hurriedly grabbed hold of its neck. I tore out its neck with one swift pull, and it started choking on its blood.

When I turned back, I saw Blaire and the other savages were making a poor attempt at self-defense. She left the kids in the open as the rogues encircled her. I had to act swiftly. I dismantled the wall that had been shielding my thoughts and mind for years by letting go of my mental tension.

I yelled out, "Blaire," to her. I received no reply. "Blaire!" I made another, louder call.

"Megan?" Finally, she answered.

"Get out of here, please. Bring the kids along. I replied as I moved nearer the group of outlaws.

Are you crazy? You'll-"

"I'll be all right," I interrupted her. "I need you and the kids to be safe. Now go!" Through the mind link, I pushed. I crossed in front of her and the children to prevent their access to her.

She argued, "But-"

I said, "Go!" "Now!"

She almost quickly turned around and hoisted the children onto her back. I focused solely on them after she took off until I was certain they were far away and secure.

When they saw that I wasn't paying attention, one swatted at me. I snarled loudly as I easily avoided it.

They all started coming at me one by one, but I quickly defeated them all. I assumed I could put a stop to this as three corpses are now lying amid the others. One whirled around and howled from the bottom of its throat. For a few periods, I was perplexed until I heard a similar cry in response.

Reinforcements. My heart raced as I considered it. I twisted my body in an attempt to flee, but I fell on a log that was covered in snow. I attempted to rise, but a sudden pain shot up my left paw causing me to stumble. My paw was positioned awkwardly.

Their paws were making noise as they ran into the jungle. They sounded like laughing hyenas as a result of their enthusiastic yips resonating off the branches. I gave it all I had, but even if I had been able to get up, I was too weak to flee. They quickly overtook me. At least 20 other people were hiding in the woods. I stared over my wounded body, and they knew I was helpless. As they marched toward me, I could almost feel the smiles growing on their faces. They started to seek their prey while salivating and licking their lips with hunger.

At this point, they were simply torturing me as a game as the others surrounded us and looked on. My vitality and blood are being progressively drained from my body by biting, nipping, and clawing. with one last attempt. I used my rear legs to kick him in the stomach. I was struck by the heavyweight, who fell off of me, and I gasped out loud. The rogue took a direct strike that caused him to fly through the air and crash against a tree. My ribs were inflated and moved by the movement of my lungs, which caused waves of discomfort to travel into my diaphragm. I coughed up a mouthful of blood and noticed a metallic taste on the tip of my tongue. My shattered ribs were pushing on my lungs, and I could feel it.

Even though it hurt, I was panting frantically as I lay spread on my stomach. The sight of my blood gushing from my body and coloring the snow surrounding me and my fore was mesmerizing. My body could no longer support my head, so I bowed my head to the earth. My opponent was crouching low to the ground and about to pounce on its victim when I made the mistake of looking up one final time. I understood that it was over and that I had failed. I accepted death and closed my eyes. I heard his claws scrape across the ice as he rose off the ground as I let out what I believed to be my last breath.

It never made it to me. It was abruptly cut off in midair and violently thrown to the icy ground. Wolves disturbed the snow by running and rolling in it, sending snow flying everywhere. One by one, the outlaws were falling to attacks from wolves I had never seen before.

I was preoccupied with keeping an eye on my vigilantes and failed to see the long rouge emerge from the shadows behind me. It growled, but I was too weak to even turn my head or engage in combat. It flung itself into the air, coming within inches of my face with its claws, but it was tackled exactly like the previous one. Then my rescuer crept over my body as it landed next to me this time. The rouge struggled to get up but was stopped a little distance away; his neck was not severed, and he fell to the ground.

His deep breathing caused his lungs to enlarge against my back. His body heat started to penetrate through my chilly, trembling frame. My muscles were still trembling from the quick adrenaline surge and dread that had just happened. As he knelt over me, rubbing his seductive aroma on me with the soft, warm fur that covered his body, his soothing perfume flooded my nostrils.

A smaller, more cautious rouge attempted to approach but was almost instantly halted in its tracks. To get closer to my frail body, Alpha Jason knelt and snarled fiercely, which made my body feel at ease.

My stiff muscles unconsciously started to relax, and fatigue followed. My eyes started to shut, but I resisted since they were still in danger. It was difficult to resist nodding off with the calming warmth and tingles Alpha Jason's body was releasing. Once again, my heavy eyes closed, and my body relaxed to the point of becoming a lifeless weight.

My body may have shifted back, but the next thing I knew, it was being lifted off the ground. Someone's terrified screams and rapid pulse could be heard in my ear while I was asleep. The screaming voice shook my upper body and face. My hurt body was cradled to their strong, warm chest by two muscular arms. I sank my face into their neck and snuggled myself even further against their chest to get more warmth. I took a long breath and breathed a strong, seductive smell that sent me to sleep even faster.
