Alpha Jason Rogue Luna Chapter 19

(Before Jason reaches Megan and just finds out about the situation.)

As soon as she spoke my friend's name, I got up and left my chair. I moved so rapidly that my chair tipped over and fell to the floor as well as my knees slamming against the desk's base. I was so concerned about my beloved partner to even noticing the agony. I found it difficult to concentrate on Blaire's words because of her deteriorating condition.

Children, a forest, rogues, Megan made me... All of the words I heard were those. My fists were clenching, opening, and shutting, and my muscles were stiff with fear and anticipation.

"Where?" I snarled loudly. At that time, I could only physically pronounce one syllable since my mind was preoccupied with solely my concerns. I hurriedly opened a drawer in my desk, took out a pair of shorts, and grabbed a blanket from the sofa in my office.

the "East border." She instantly followed me as I sped by her and hurried down the stairs. "I've already spoken to Jackson. He has already started gathering the Warriors and will meet you there. I mumbled my appreciation before opening the door with such force that the doorknob tore through the wall. I didn't bother to close it once I left. I hastily threw my clothing behind a tree as I hurried into the woods, dropping the blanket next to me.

I could feel waves of scalding wrath erupting from my body. I trembled violently and growled inhumanely loudly. My pores produced thick, black hair as my bones lengthened and aligned themselves. My hearing, smell, and vision all improved. My muscles trembled under my skin at the scent of foreign wolves in my territory and the sounds of my mate's growls and agonizing whines. I put the blanket in my mouth and ran in the direction of the noises.

Jackson told me through the pack connection, "We are right behind you, Alpha. Knowing he would hear it from behind me, I let him know with a growl that I had heard his message. I was too preoccupied with the business at hand to think about going back to him.

I sped through the woods, my fur being ruffled by the breeze. Normally, that would have made me feel better, but when I realized how far away my mate was and how much she needed my protection, it just made me furious. When I smelled her blood, my stomach fell and bile sprang in my throat. To warn the other mutts that I was about to tear their heads off of their bodies, I pulled my head back and howled from deep within me. At the mere suggestion of it, I growled with delight.

I came to a halt at the edge of the clearing as I tried to process what was in front of me. How so many rogues managed to evade my border and patrol without anybody letting me know was beyond my comprehension. My beta and warriors rushed in front of me, and I grabbed my mate by the neck and pulled him away. I'm not sure for the life of me who it was, but I'll always be appreciative of them.

I threw down the blanket and crept into the clearing, allowing my power to emanate from my body. Her skin was almost torn to bits, and her white fur was matted and stained with blood. In my brain, a wolf was whining and pleading with me to let him out so he could slaughter all of these pitiful animals. My Megan needs me far more than I need to tear out their necks and revel in their blood, so I resisted him.

I surrounded her body with mine, taking care not to burden her more than she already was with my weight. She was losing so much blood that I was hoping my warmth would permeate her. She was protected below my body, and I could feel the mating tingles on my underbelly, which helped to somewhat calm me down.

I caught a glimpse of a pathetically little wolf coming out of the corner of my eye. It was roaring and its hair was sticking up on its back. It was attempting to seem more menacing than it was, and I could smell the dread seeping from its body. It was also trembling where it was standing. Even though it was behaving like a puppy being trained and had little chance against me, it nevertheless endangered my partner and caused injury to her. He would pay for it.

It fled with its tail tangled between its legs when I growled warningly at it to stop. It was held on the ground with its lips around its neck by Jay, one of my best fighters. I looked around. All of the rouge were sprawled down on the forest floor, and Jay was the lone survivor.

"Transport him to the jail. Do all you can to get information from him throughout your interrogation. I didn't intend anything at all except severe torment. He threatens my partner, and he will get justice.

The answer is "Yes, Alpha." My lover shifted under me as he dealt with the last rouge, indicating that her wolf was too frail to maintain her wolf form. I moved back as well to make sure I was still shielding her body.

"Someone, bring me the blanket!" Jackson approached with the blanket in his extended hand. I reached out and took it, giving Jackson an appreciative nod. No one was looking at my partner, which I found to be a nice sight. In an effort to keep her warm, I swiftly but tenderly covered her body and held her close to my chest. "Get the doctor on the phone right now! Please have him in the office before I arrive. I got to my feet, taking care not to disturb her, and started to run back.

My throat felt like a frog was in it, and my heart was in my throat. I was unable to swallow. I could feel my hands trembling just as much as Megan's trembling body, and I shared her paranoia. My focus was on a little pool of blood that was minutely becoming larger as it slowly seeped through the cover. She must survive, she must.
