"M-master." I sprung straight up, making me queasy with the swift motion. My body was overcome by a frigid wave. She was aware. She was aware of who and what he was.
It's "that son of a bitch!" The male shouted. My breathing became uneven and my pulse beat faster as a result of his abrupt outburst.

Alpha burst into the room out of nowhere, yelling and very furious. A tall, lanky-looking guy did the same.

Finally, my breathing slowed down. Even though it wasn't as hard, my heart was still racing. When the situation finally dawned on me, a flood of humiliation swept over me. I could still feel Cole and Alpha's gaze on me as my hand was still resting on Alpha's chest. I swiftly withdrew my hand and crossed my arms in front of me. I ducked my head and used my hair to block their view of my face. I could feel the attention I was getting and my shame searing my cheeks.
I'm very sorry. At first, my voice was croaky and frail. "That was not what I intended to happen,"
Luna, it's not your fault. I was unaware of your discomfort with others approaching you too closely. I really apologize and sincerely hope you will pardon me.
It's OK. I muttered. "You were unaware,"
"Are you alright?" Beta enquired. I hesitantly nodded my head, trying not to draw notice to the predicament. With his query, my cheeks began to flame even more.
A quiet set of footsteps entered the space. It had to be the woman I had heard earlier. As she stood in front of me, her feet, which were covered in a pair of mismatched socks, came into view.
Don't come too near, baby. She doesn't handle it well. Cole was speaking softly. He wasn't even acknowledged by the girl, and I could feel her fixed attention on me. Her ginger and cinnamon aroma was highly recognizable, but I couldn't place it.
"Megan? Are you sure that's you? She asked in a hesitant tone, which I heard. When I finally glanced up and saw her, I gasped. She was there.
I questioned, "Little one?" While giving a mute nod, she began to cry, which caused her eyes to become blurry. "Come on, it's all right." She cried and immediately sank into my open arms.
"I believed you to be dead." She sobbed and tightened her grip on me.
"I'm sorry, Little One, but no. They gave it their all, but they were unsuccessful. I breathed in her aroma as I caressed her back and buried my face in her black hair. She was secured. She also succeeded.
