Alpha's Temporary Luna Chapter 47

Sophie’s hands, after accomplishing their first food donation in a certain village, got full. Not only was she continuously scouting every area around the Capital to feed homeless children, she was also looking for unoccupied low-ranked wolves who excel in medicine. She was planning to build a medical guild for commoners. To those who do not wish to fight, those who can not afford treatment, and to those who have knowledge of pharmaceuticals but are unable to become a medical practitioner due to their rankings.

If she could, she would use her healing powers. It was a blessing bestowed upon her to help her fellow wolves. But unfortunately, unlike those whose ranks were higher, Sophie’s healing prowess had a limitation. She had tested it once when she saved a life whose affliction was critical. Depending on how serious the sickness or physical condition was, she could only use it for four people at most, who only had a severe cut.

If only Axel’s Beta would help her…

Sighing, Sophie stood up from her seat. She is currently in the small village of Raya right now. It was the nearest in the Capital. For the past few days, she had been looking and helping, but even though completing her real objective was easy, she was in discomfort.

The only people she found were Jackson, Rackel, and Jessie. All of them have knowledge, and they have proven it, but it would be too small. The council wouldn’t approve a guild consisting of three people. Especially when they have no experience in the medical field.

She felt like it all had been for nothing. She didn’t want to give up. But she just couldn’t feel any better.

“You can take a rest, Luna. Let us handle the rest,” Jacob, who was busy handing out food to the lined-up children from the other side of the table, assured her.

This was exactly what she and Axel had agreed to. She could do her thing, but only with her men around. But since they also had work at the headquarters, they were taking turns. It was now Johnson, Jacob, and Russel’s turn. Hansel and the others, who were just with her yesterday, were now doing their assigned work in the HQ.

Sophie tried to let out a smile. Now that they were in this situation, she was thinking the agreement was actually a good thing. Because if it was only her and Flora, she would have caught fatigue.

“Are these all the children? Are you sure we didn’t miss a single one?” Sophie asked, as she roamed her eyes around.

“Yes, Luna. You needn’t to worry.”

Sophie nodded. So, it seemed.

Johnson, Jacob, and Russel, were the ones giving out the food to the children. Flora, however, was looking for any resident with prowess like Sophie’s, or knowledge of healing. It was what Sophie was doing before she took a break.

This donation that Sophie only wanted to make to occupy herself was turning into a more meaningful and difficult task. Not only did she feel obliged to help, it also bothered her a lot. To the point that she was now ready to build a guild.

What’s more was that the more she delved into helping, the more she was learning.

Sophie wanted to shake the negativity off her, so instead of focusing on the other things that would cause her anxiousness, she drew her attention to the children.

The clouds moved as the time passed by. The color of the sky shifted. They had, once again, accomplished their goal. But what completed it was a person that Flora found. It was a girl with a healing power like Sophie. Sophie, being one of the most important figures in the Kingdom forced the girl to give her information. Anything that she would ask for. Including what she was, where she came from, and where she inherited it.

“Is it okay for you to show me the extent of your power?” Sophie drew the dagger that she’d been keeping to herself. It was the same dagger that Axel gave her.

The girl, who was still fazed and confused, nodded. For her, submitting was all she could do. She was in front of the Alpha’s Luna. She couldn’t commit any mistake.

Sophie pulled out the dagger from its sheath. Johnson, Jacob, and Russel, who seemed to have predicted what Sophie would do, immediately moved. The three of them tried to stop Sophie, but she was quick to react. She stopped them with her gaze, before she extended her arm, and cut her own wrist.

“My Lady!” Flora gasped.

She intentionally missed the vital part. Sophie ignored Flora, and looked at the innocent looking woman in front of her.

“Heal it.”

“I…” The girl was shocked, as well. “I’m sorry…”

“Do it, Anna.” Sophie commanded.

Fearing that she may not last another day, Anna took another step towards Sophie. She held her wrist, and magically healed it just by looking intently.

Alpha’s men, who were still on alert before then, had relaxed after seeing the wound on Sophie’s wrist closed. The healing power wasn’t new to them. It was the fact that the Alpha may saw the wound and take it out on them scared them.

“Magnificent…” Sophie muttered. So, her power didn’t require hands, nor words. “Now, I would like to invite you to a pharmaceutical guild I am planning to build. It is a group to help people from around the Capital.”

“Guild?” Anna, who still didn’t know what was happening, asked. “What for? The Alpha would be more than willing to help those who are in need.”

That was also what Sophie thought before. But apparently, there was an exception to that.

“Indeed. But he will not extend his arm to those who betrayed him,” Sophie vaguely retorted. “I can explain further if you wish to learn more. Would you take my hand and join this guild?”

On the other hand, after the Alpha of the Western Kingdom had agreed to the alliance, Rebecca’s request to live there with her mate, Edward, was granted. She immediately moved after a day of preparation. It was her first step. Now that she knew that Axel’s current Luna, Sophie, was busy at other things. Rebecca wanted to take advantage of it.

It’s a good thing Edward won’t always be here…. Rebecca thought as she gazed outside the window.

A few days from now, she’ll ask the Council regarding the position she left. She was to reclaim it after she gave birth.

She would have a lot of opportunity, then.

She just had to wait.
