Blue's POV
I got home feeling bad and agitated about what happened.
The incident just flashes in my mind every second making me feel so uncomfortable...
Why did I have to leave Zara?.. I shouldn't have done that.
I freshened up and as usual we don't meet our parents at home .. they're at work but mom comes home first to make dinner.
Only I and Chelsea were in and I don't really get along with my sis but all the same we're still siblings.
I had done my homework and feeling bored in my room ... I went to the living room only to find Chels there.
"Hey Chels! What are you doing here?" I asked and joined her on the couch.
"Just decided to pass my time watching a movie" she replied with a smile.
Chelsea always stays in her room or she'd rather be somewhere poking her nose in other people's business.
"Where's Mr bad boy" She asked and I sighed.
" He went for a wrestling match" I replied with my focus still on the TV.
"What?! .. you know mom strictly restricted wrestling matches and late night walks" she barked and that's when I just realized my mistake.
"He asked me to cover up for him and I couldn't say no" I justified .
"Well done madam.. Bravo!.. So what are you intending to tell Mom when she asks about him?" She asked .
" I haven't thought about it but I'll figure something out" I said and she shook her head in disbelief.
We watched the movie for some time in silence and finally mom came home .
We greeted her and she went straight to the kitchen after freshening up .
I and Chels also help while she's cooking.
"So girls how was school today?" She asked with a smile.
"Good" Chelsea replied.
"Good too" I replied.
"Anything fascinating??" She asked with high brows .
I and Chelsea stared at each other and I gave a little laugh.
"Mom... What do you mean?" I asked and shot Chelsea a stare.
" Oh! C'mon tell me ... It will be our little secret ... I know you and your sis.. so tell me" Mom pleaded .
" Basketball practice was awesome" Chelsea said and mom looked at both of us .
"Ok if you don't want to tell me anything about your personal life, at least tell me where your brother is?" Mom finally popped the question and my chopping knife fell from my hands.
" Pull it together Blue" I said to myself as I bent to pick the knife and also thought of something to say.
"Emm... He's in mmmm" I stuttered and mom glared at me.
I looked at Chelsea but she looked away Immediately.
"He's in his room" Chelsea blurted out and I gasped.
In his room??.
"He said we shouldn't disturb him ... Yeah he's busy " I added.
" Go call him down for me ... Or else I'll barge in there myself" Mom ordered and Chelsea ran off.
Then a text message came into my phone.. it's from Chelsea.

Chelsea's POV
I ran upstairs to Mr ranaway's room and and shut the door behind me.
I don't understand the kind of language to us for this Kaycee... Why is he always bent on breaking the rules?
This is what you do everyday when you have a bad boy as your brother.
I called so many times but he didn't pick... Oh God!!.
I called his friend Marcus and thankfully it got through.
"Hello" he called and I breathed out .
" Hello Marcus... This is Chelsea" I stated anxiously.
" Hey babe .. long time" he hailed and I bluffed him.
" I don't have time for chip chats ... Is my brother there with you?" I asked huskily.
" Yeah.. we're at a wrestling match" he replied.
" Tell that fool.. that mom's home and she wants to see him now" I said frightened.
If mom walks through that door .. we won't live to see tomorrow.
"Ok" he said ...the whole place seemed rowdy and noisy, he must have been picked the call in a distance.
"Wait!.. also tell him to use the back window and not the front door" I said because the front is guarded .
" Ok" he said and hung up.
Anxiety and fear ate me up at the same time.... Well I'm definitely not staying in this nasty bedroom and wait for him.
But he's my brother and I'll have to risk it... I also help him tidy up a little.
*Ten minutes later*
I finally checked out side the window and saw him running from far... He jumped the fence and tried distracting the guards ... Immediately the guards looked away... He climbed a pole straight to his bed room window and I helped him get in.
"What was that about?" I barked at him and he was breathing heavily from the running.
" Thanks" he muttered and turned to leave only to find mom standing at the door.
" Mom!" I called shocked and looked at Kaycee who's sweating profusely.
"What have you been doing?.. and you why are you sweating so much?" She asked and we looked at each other ..
" He was working out " I finally blurted out after a deep silence.
"And I had to help him tidy up the room" I added .
"Alright your father is home and he needs everyone at the table" mom said and I nodded.
Thank God she didn't hear anything.
We left together and I signalled Kaycee to take a shower before coming down.
We had dinner in peace and all retired to our beds.
Blue's POV
I couldn't sleep, the thought of Zara still tinkled in my mind.
The door opened and mom walked in.
Huh!! Hope she's not suspicious of anything.
"Mom!" I called surprised and she sat on my bed.
" I come every night to check on you and by this time you're already fast asleep .. what happened?" She asked and I sighed.
" You're right... It's Zara" I replied.
"She's angry with me" I stated sadly.
" Really.. why?" She asked.

I explained everything to her and she nodded.
" Your best friend is like your sister from another mother... You shouldn't have ditched her like that" mom said.
" I didn't mean to .. I had to fulfill my promise" I replied.
"You ditched your BFF for some else just because of a promise... And who's this person?" She asked.
" She's a new girl in school.. Pearl" I said and she smiled.
"What stopped you from taking Zara along?" she asked and I just looked away.
" Be careful child. I know Zara very well.. the whole family knows her ... You shouldn't have dropped her for someone you barely know" mom elucidated softly.
"Do you know what tomorrow said to today?" Mom asked and I smiled. "No".
"Tomorrow said .. there always a me to start afresh and to start another today" mom said and I smiled.
" So tomorrow ... You'll have to apologise to Zara properly and learn to hold your relationships together" mom said and I gave her a hug.
I laid on the bed and mom pecked my forehead and used the duvet to cover me properly.
"Goodnight"I said and she replied.
" Goodnight.. sweet dreams" .
# Next Morning#
I got up early and got ready for school on time.
My siblings kept on asking while I was so happy but I didn't reply.
We got to school and started our routine... Behaving like strangers.
I got to my locker and Saw Zara approaching ..I waved but she looked away.
" Hey! Good morning" I greeted but she snubbed.
" Good morning Blue" Pearl greeted and I just shook my head at her.
"Zara!" I called and she turned to leave.. I'm sure it's because of Pearl.
What should I say?.... How will I get attention?. Just then, I finally thought of something.
"Hey everyone!!Do you know what Tomorrow said to Today?" I asked and everyone attention was drawn to me.. even Zara's.
" Tomorrow said... There's always a me to start afresh..." I said looking into Zara's eyes as I walked straight to her.
" I'm very sorry Zara ... I promise I won't do this again.. I promise to take you everywhere with me, classes, cafeteria, even to the restroom" I said and she smiled .
"I didn't mean to hurt your feelings.... You can stop talking to me if you want to but pls don't stay away from me and ignore me. I won't be able to take it" I said and she hugged me.
We hugged each other tightly and everyone in the hallway clapped.
" This is the best apology ever" Zara said and we smiled as we walked to class together.
We walked towards the classroom and Zara stopped.
" You said you'd take me everywhere even the restroom.. well pls don't" she said and we both laughed .. I looked back only to see Pearl looking from a distance and turned to leave.
Hope she understands but I'll talk to her later... Today it's just me and Zara.
