CHAPTER 48
ALPHA LINCOLN'S POV
Truth be told, I was having so much fun and seeing Montana have as much fun too was very nice.
I was glad she dragged me out, I have not had this so much fun in a long time or even laughed this much to the point my cheeks started hurting, but it was worth it.
I knew she thought we would head back home after we were done in the amusement pack, but I had other plans.
It was already evening but the day, for us, was just getting started.
MONTANA'S POV
I have tried asking him where he was taking us but nope, no reply, and so I just enjoyed the ride happily.
Finally, we reached the place and could you believe it, instantly I knew where we were, a laser tag game place?
I turned to him with a gigantic smile, oh, this will be fun.
We parked in and got down. Paid for entry and the game.
ALPHA LINCOLN'S POV
One of the staff attended to us. The place was booked by me though, I wanted it to be for just me and her for the first time and maybe next time it will not be only us.
But two of us, in that place, would be…hehe.
Upon arrival, we were handed sleek, lightweight vests which were embedded with sensors. They explained to us that the vests were designed to register hits from the opponent's laser guns during the game.
They also informed us that the sensors often light up in various colors when hit, adding a visual element to the gameplay.
"Sounds fun," Montana said, "It is also my first time here.
I noticed that Montana has missed many things. I kind of felt bad for her, but today I will make sure she has lots of fun.
Each player was going to be equipped with a futuristic-looking laser gun, totally harmless, and had infrared beams that players could use to tag opponents.
Montana did an evil laugh when she put on her vest and was now holding her gun, as did I.
The guns also had LED lights. I am equally excited.
We were all set I suppose and before the game began, the staff provided us with a briefing on the rules and objectives of the laser tag game. I have been here before so I know the rules, but Montana is the one who needed them.
Montana nodded, "Okay, understood" after the staff was done explaining.
We were then given safety wear in addition to the vests and guns, such as lightweight helmets or headbands to protect our heads during maybe any fast-paced gameplay.
Montana looked cute in her outfit. I chuckled softly.
"You better not take it easy on me, 'cause I am bringing you down, so come at me with everything you have," She said to me, challenging me with so much confidence.
"I was never going to go easy on you. Bring it on!", I said back as I readied my gun.
"You can go in now", the staff told us, and we ventured inside.
Stepping into the laser tag arena, we were greeted by a futuristic spectacle, the entrance pulses with neon lights, which made everything exciting.
I loved this place, it is one of the best places to play laser tag.
Plus, the vibrant hues illuminated the path.
"Whoaoo…it sure as hell looks like a sci-fi aesthetic or place. Look at the walls with fluorescent patterns," Montana said happily.
"I know right," I agreed with her, "even the LED panels and the rest, a sight to behold and be in."
The layout of the arena was a maze of multi-level structures and catwalks. So many places for players to climb, hide, and shoot from above.
Other things too.
An announcement was made for us to begin.
"You sure you are ready?!" I teased Montana a bit while smirking.
"You better not cry like a baby when I win this game," She said back while trying to keep a scary face, which by the way was nowhere scary.
As the game started I went into my hiding place and so did Montana, I did not even see where she disappeared too.
The game was already owned, I moved right into the maze, pointing my gun, searching for her.
MONTANA'S POV
I was feeling fly when I knew he could not see me, where I was hiding, we had agreed not to use our scenting to find anyone and just play it naturally like humans and so when Alpha Lincoln passed me, I brought out my gun, aimed my leader and fired.
"One point to Mrs. Vincintore", the announcer said, and I heard Alpha Lincoln groan.
"You only got Lucky, Montana."
"Yeah right I did", he was still confused, when I immediately aimed again, this time at his chest, and before he could retaliate, I fired.
"Fuck, Montana!"
The joy in my heart knowing I was taking the lead, until the next round, and he fired straight at my chest.
I was looking around, but I could not see him, and then I heard a whistle, obviously from him.
Can you believe where he was just to get me? He had climbed.
Then he saluted me and winked. I laughed loudly, "That was crazy, you are crazy!", I said to him, still laughing.
"Two points for Mrs. Vincintore and one point for Mr. Vincintore", the announcer said.
I'm still taking the lead. YES!
The next one happened so fast, I never expected it. I could not hear a single thing, I searched everywhere, but I was unable to see him, my ears were alert, but I still could not catch on to him when he shot me again in my chest.
"Arghhhhh," I shouted and he laughed.
"Two points for Mr. Vincintore and Two points for Mrs. Vincintore. The next round will determine the winner", the announcer said, making it more exciting.
I have to win!
I could see Alpha Lincoln give me a curt nod with a smirk.
"Oh, you're feeling proud now, right? I will bring down that ego, Mr. Lincoln Vincintore", I said before we both went into hiding.
As the last game started it took a while and when we finally saw each other, we were pointing the gun at each other, at the same time, "Found you," we said together.
I aimed right, I was sure I would hit him before he hit me cause his gun was not ready yet for firing or aimed right, so I fired. He also fired seconds later.
After shots were fired, everywhere was so quiet.
