CHAPTER 75
MONTANA'S POV
I blushed at the way he looked at me, his words when he complimented me and opened my side of the door, "My lady", he smiled.
"Why, thank you gentleman", I giggled and got in.
He closed my door after being sure I was comfortable, walked over to the driver's side and got in.
"So where are we going?", I started a conversation as we left my hotel.
"I know a nice restaurant, not too luxurious but can be, nice and their food is also great," He said and I nodded, mouthing an okay.
Truthfully, I was a bit nervous, cannot remember the last time, someone had some interest in me. It was always me pursuing them, while they sit down and relax, as I put great effort.
"You really look beautiful, Montana, it is an honor going on this date with you," He said to me.
"You flatter me", I blushed a bit and turned, looking out the window. Did not want to seem easy, although I had my trust and guards up, but I guess it would not hurt to have a little fun and enjoy the moment.
We got to the place and Finn came down first as he rushed to my side to get the door, which I was already getting myself.
"It is beautiful", I complemented the place.
"Suitable for a beautiful lady as yourself," he said, and we walked in together.
Our table was already ready, he helped me with my seat and took his. He was being so caring and gentle like, and I was enjoying it.
"Good evening, welcome", A waiter who came to attend to us said as he served us each a white stuff in a plate, before handing us our menus.
He then poured a little water from the little jar he had, and the white stuff rose, "Oh looks quite interesting", I smiled as I took it and put in my mouth, chewing on it.
Well, I kept chewing and was not sure, "Am I supposed to swallow because it is very chewy you know, like I do not know how to explain," I said with my mouth somewhat full.
"Umm", Finn started, and I noticed he was trying not to laugh, "You are eating the napkin."
At this moment, I would really love to disappear. I stared at him in disbelief, and he nodded, confirming that what he said was exactly right.
I watch as he took his napkin from the plate and spread it, "They are called compressed napkins, it actually swells when in contact with water, but before I could tell you, you already put it in your mouth."
"Mhm", I hummed as I pulled the napkin out of my mouth and nodded.
I looked down and closed my eyes tightly. This is so embarrassing.
I could hear Finn chuckle a bit, "It is okay, there is nothing to be embarrassed about, we learn new things every day."
That did not help one bit. First date and I am already making myself look like a complete full.
"Have you chosen what you want?", The waiter interrupted us. At least he kept quiet, but when I looked at him, I could see a hint of a smile on his face. Oh, come on!
"Have you seen what you would like?", Finn asked me while I stared at the menu.
I was having difficulty picking, though, "I think you should place the order."
He accepted and for starters he decided to start with an assortment of appetizers according to him, which included, calamari, bruschetta, and a cheese platter which were absolutely delicious.
We talked about countless things of course while we ate. We even shared our relationship status, and we were both single.
Now for the main course meals, we decided together and ordered spaghetti Bolognese. We also ordered flavored grilled seafood and succulent steak dish.
Mouthwatering, I tell you. We did not rush anything, we took our time to talk and listen to each other, which made it very worthwhile.
No rushing, just relaxing, enjoying our dish and talking about different stuffs, funny, etc., although there were something's I decided to keep to myself.
I found out that he runs a business and obviously his a rich guy, even by looking at him.
I loved the way he spoke and carried a conversation, there was no dull moment…it was like we just clicked and all that.
You know there are some people you meet, and they are just there, even in making conversations, they make that so hard and when you try to put some effort, they just dull everything out. So annoying!
Finn Gerard really passed the vibe check.
I had another napkin come in for me and this time I did not make that silly mistake, as I took it and wiped my mouth and hands.
But of course, Finn teased me about it, and we need up just laughing about the whole thing.
"Dinner was great, the food there is just so yummy and satisfying like you said it would be," I said to him as we walked out of the restaurant, heading to his car.
"I am glad you loved it just as much as I did. I was afraid you would not, but your reaction is the best," He said as we got into his car and he drove me back to my hotel.
I got back to my hotel like around ten at night because we really took our time there.
Now Finn and I were standing in front of my hotel, "Thank you for a wonderful night, I cannot remember the last time I enjoyed myself so much."
Aside from with Lincoln, which I do not want to remember or think about.
"It is my pleasure, likewise", he smiled, "You are a really nice company to have."
"I am glad because the feeling is mutual", I chuckled nervously.
Well…he was now very close to me and so was I as I muttered softly how delicious the meal was, thanking him again for taking me there.
"Of course, I am happy you came with me," He answered, but I noticed his eyes were focused on my lips, and unknowingly I bit them.
His face got closer as he tried to kiss me.
"Umm…", I put my hand on his chest, stopping him softly, while trying to breathe properly.
