CHAPTER 85
MONTANA'S POV
I may consider giving Lincoln another chance, but I will let him work for it and prove himself.
Just because whatever he did worked, he should best be ready to do some more because I will enjoy making him ache and crave me so badly without getting anything, until I am satisfied.
And that will be his punishment.
Although, I still have a date to get too.
Some catching up to do with Finn or should I say, Alpha Finn…mmm…not bad, has a nice ring, mm!
I told Finn I will meet him there, at the place where the date was taking place, "Sorry am a bit late," I said to him as we exchanged kisses on the cheeks, and he helped me with my seat.
"That is okay, I just got here myself."
"Thank Goddess, my guilt of keeping you waiting for so long have been relieved a bit", I laughed softly, as did he.
"What would you like to order?", He asked while we both went through the menu.
"We can just start with something simple, like some ice cream, chill a bit before getting serious?"
"Yeah, that works for me too," He agreed, and we placed an order.
They had different types of ice cream and I ordered for a scoop of chocolate and a scoop of strawberry in a waffle cone, while Finn ordered for a double scoop of vanilla and chocolate chip in a cup.
I was so eager to lick my ice cream and when it came. Goddessss!
So I quickly consumed it as it was cold. So sweet and tongue savoring. I was going to go for more when I stopped, oh shit!
"What?? What's wrong?", Finn asked, but presently I could not say anything.
The cold temperature from the ice cream quickly cooled the roof of my mouth, and then it was like my blood vessels constricted, quickly dilating in response to the cold in my mouth.
I should have not rushed, but I could not help it. I have not had one in years now, really. I do not even know how I survived.
The sudden increase in blood flow to that area and my brain, my head.
Finn had finally gotten the hang of what was going on and was now laughing at me while I suffered from pain and him enjoying his ice cream.
I just got Brain Freeze.
"How mean can you be!", I said to him once the whole brain freezing stuff had calmed down.
I was already going for more ice cream to put into my mouth.
"You still want to have some?", Finn asked, wanting to take my ice cream from me, but I dodged, "Just let me help you finish it."
"No, thank you", I glared jokingly and went on to lick my ice cream. This time around I was cautious but devoured it still.
"So", Finn started, while playing around with his ice cream. If he does not finish that fast, I might be forced to help him.
"You did not tell me that you have kids."
I coughed softly and looked at him, "How did you-Lincoln."
It has to be him, no one else. His little plotting.
"Yes, Lincoln," Finn confirmed, "the father to your kids…the twins."
"It did not come up, that is why I said nothing and in my defense we both did not go deep when we met each other, like me not knowing you were an Alpha", I smiled at him, "So I guess we will be knowing more of each other, since you opened the way for that."
Finn eyed me for some seconds, just staring at me, "I am sure we will."
I nodded. Good, that went well.
"Do you love him?", Finn suddenly asked.
"Love who?"
"Lincoln, do you love him? Because I can not quite wrap my head around the entire thing," Finn said.
"There is nothing to wrap your head around, and that is not relevant right now. What is important is that we met again after all these years and are catching with each other," I told him, wanting to change the topic.
"But that is what I am doing, is it not? Catching up."
I sighed, "I do not want to talk about Lincoln and me. It is complicated, and you would not understand."
"Try me then", Finn pressed on, and sadly, it was starting to get on my nerves.
Can he just drop it, already? I, myself, is still seeing how things will go between Lincoln and I, talk less of explaining it to someone who does not know many things about me.
I shook my head, "Just leave it, please."
"Is this why you did not kiss me before, when I went in for a kiss?"
"I just did not want things to be rushed Finn and I still do not know how things will go", I sighed, "Look, can we just drop this topic?".
"Fine," He said, "whatever you want."
I closed my eyes and let out a breath. I did not mean to sound rude, and now he looked and also sounded angry.
"Are you upset?", I asked him, trying to peep at his face, which was down as he licked his ice cream.
"I am not", he looked up at me with a fake smile.
"Come on, do not be like that", I pouted softly.
"Fineeee", he smiled, this time a real one and then his stomach rumbled and we both laughed.
"I think we should order something now," I said, still laughing and calling the waiter.
"We definitely should."
Few hours later…
"Well that was delicious," He said as we both walked out of the place after he paid for everything we had taken there.
"Indeed it was, all of them", I rubbed my stomach with a satisfied smile on my face.
"I will drop you off," Finn offered, but I waved him off with my hand.
"That is okay, my ride is already here."
I was ahead of him and so turned around, "Will text you later, okay? Thank you for today, I enjoyed it."
With that said, I turned around to get into my ride, but I was stopped and turned back around to face Finn while my back was slammed to the car.
I looked up at Finn's face, "What?", I tried to free myself, but his grip was tight as he kept me in place, "Finn, what are you doing?"
