Veronica's gape blinked several times as if she heard something unusual from Ava. She slowly frowned when Ava forced herself to smile at the idea that she had been suggesting.
"Why are you telling me to date him? Strangely, you are advising me to date him even though we both really know that you don't like him for me." Veronica said. She felt that Ava's action was too weird for her.
She could still remember how outraged Ava was when it came to Veron. She disliked him as if she wanted to kill him as long as possible. Seeing how mad Ava was when it came to Veron made her think that there was a valid reason why she was reacting that way.
She wanted to know about it. She didn't want to be stupid and not care about her sister's opinions.
"I'm only thinking that's the easiest way to find Morgan. He might know where he is." Ava answered, which made her forehead crease. She remembered that Veron promised her that he would help her to find Morgan as long as he could, but her training was finished, and Morgan was still missing.
She wasn't suspicious at that time. What she cared about when she was in training was to do her best and make her parents proud once again. She was sure that Morgan was such a supportive son for her.
"Tell me everything to me, Ava. I want to know the truth. I thought we wouldn't hide any secrets anymore. What are you thinking right now?" Her tone was pleading, but Ava shuddered her shoulders.
"I can't," Ava whispered. She didn't want Veronica to act aggressively, especially when she knew how fragile she was regarding Morgan.
"Is he the one who took Morgan away from me? I wanted to know everything. I might lose my freaking mind if you didn't tell me what's in your mind." Veronica didn't want to stop until Ava told her everything. If it was about Morgan, she had the right to know what happened to her son.
She was sure that Morgan was still alive. He was her son, and he came into her womb. She could still feel their connection with each other.
"He's not the one who took Morgan from you. As I said, it might be the Alpha King. He didn't like you to be with Alpha Jaxon because he knew that Alpha Jaxon was a great tool for his reign. " Ava swallowed. Jaxon didn't like her to spill everything to Veronica, but what would she do next if Veronica got mad at her in the end?
"Okay, then what is it? I still want to know everything, even though it's not about Morgan. You are trying to push me to my enemy's dens without even me knowing why I needed to do that." Veronica exclaimed, and Ava hardly sighed. She closed her eyes and massaged her temple when she felt her head hurt.
"Did you even know what happened last night? I want you to be honest with me because it's too impossible that you didn't know everything at that time." Ava smirked when she noticed how Veronica was stunned. She wasn't stupid not to see if Veronica was lying to her.
"We can't keep secrets to each other anymore. It means you aren't supposed to lie to me when I ask you what happened to you," she added.
Veronica's cheeks flushed. How could she tell Ava that she had sex with the stranger because of the sudden heat in her body? It was questionable that she felt that way. It seemed there was a possibility that her body got triggered that she didn't finish having her orgasm when Jaxon took her inside the bathroom.
However, she was confused because she didn't know if that was the best explanation for why she felt so heated on that day.
"Okay," Veronica surrendered. She hardly breathed out before she continued with embarrassment. "I thought I had sex with a stranger in the middle of the forest."
"With the stranger?" Ava was amused when Veronica mentioned that Alpha Jaxon was a stranger in her eyes. She didn't know if Veronica might be telling her the truth or only lying to her.
"Yes, I can't remember his face. It's a wild night, and whenever I was trying to remember his face, it made my head hurt." She honestly admitted that Ava nodded to her when she noticed that she was being honest with her.
"I can't believe that you have sex with a stranger. What happened that day? Is it weird for you that you ended up doing something sexual that night?" Ava inquired. She wanted Veronica to think what was the possibility of why she got horny that day. She gnashed her teeth. She was thankful to herself that she already heard how Veron was acting suspiciously when it came to Veronica.

"Ava, that's unbelievable. Did you believe in him? I think he might be the reason, or he's the one who spiked my drink!"
"Can you let me finish what I would say to you? I want you to know the truth, but you are acting like you are blinded to see the truth. Why would Alpha Jaxon do that if he has a mate bond with you?"
Veronica bit her lips when he noticed how agitated Ava was. She pouted but didn't say anything afterward. She didn't like to trigger Ava because she saw that Ava was done with her bullshits.
"Okay, I will continue what I'm trying to say. He went here to check on you, and that time, you came to him naked. He even said that he wanted to stop you, but you were too aggressive that day!"
"He's lying..." She stopped when she was about to say something in anger. Her eyes widened when her memories flashed in her mind. It was Jaxon that she had sex with, and he kept stopping her from what she was doing.

Veronica was bewildered when she realized that Ava was right all along. Her tears formed as she tried to stop herself from crying. She trusted Veron so much, but it seemed that he only used her as a pawn in his games with Alpha Jaxon.
"Did you even think that it's like hitting two birds in one stone? He will successfully hurt Jaxon using you and let Helene be with him while you are suffering too with him. He's not an angel, what you seemed to be thinking, Veronica."
Veronica's resentment rose in her body. She was grateful that Veron had helped her to be saved, but it seemed that he only kept her for the sake of his winnings.
"What should I do?" She asked.
"It depends on you. It's better if you are the one who will throw the stone at the two birds, right? You can win this and ensure we will expose the dirty deeds of the Alpha King." Veronica suggested that made her smile in the end.

"Veronica! You surprised me too much!" Veron exclaimed, and there was a smile on his face. He looked around and was confused when he didn't see Ava with her.
