Veronica gasped when Jaxon held her neck tightly. Her pupils almost popped out of her eyes when Jaxon tightened his grip on her neck. Veronica tried to fight and even punch Jaxon, but Jaxon didn't want to stop choking her.
Veronica felt that her chest was about to explode with so much madness and anger. She felt bad for herself that she needed to die that way. Veronica closed her eyes and let Jaxon do whatever he wanted. She didn't want to fight with him because she would rather die than stay with him.
Veronica couldn't help but pity herself for enduring what Jaxon had been doing to her. She felt that she needed to fight to defend herself, but how? Veronica didn't even know who her family was or if she had some friends who were still searching for her.
"Argh!" Jaxon angrily removed his hand from Veronica's neck. He slowly felt guilty, especially when he noticed tears coming to Veronica's eyes. Jaxon couldn't help but feel disappointed because of what he had done.
Jaxon didn't know why he strangled Veronica, but his actions didn't even make him look like a good man. He was known as the heartless Alpha of the world, and they all respected him, but Veronice told him that he was disgusting.
"Why did you stop? Why don't you continue killing me? Alpha Jaxon, I know that once you kill me, your son will not even treat you as his father." Veronica angrily said that, which made Jaxon stunned. Veronica's tears kept flowing, which made Jaxon get hurt.
Jaxon felt that he didn't like to see Veronica crying again because of him. How could he choke the mother of his child? Jaxon gave Veronica a sad glance and was about to move closer to her.
"Leave me alone. How dare you do this to me, Alpha Jaxon?" Veronica yelled, which made Jaxon stunned for a little moment. It was the first time that Veronica got totally angry with him, and seeing her give him a fierce glare made Jaxon dumbfounded.
Veronica was an obedient woman when it came to him. She was always scared and intimidated by him, but now it has changed.
"I don't want to repeat my words. Leave me alone; why don't you go with Helene and be happy with her? Stop disturbing me." Veronica's words made Jaxon stop being emotional.
Jaxon thought that Veronica would stop getting furious at him once she cooled down, so he left without even saying anything. Veronica doesn't even dare look at Jaxon.
Veronica was hurt mentally. She disliked Jaxon even more, and she felt that she used to endure what Jaxon had done to her. Does Jaxon remember doing those things when she still had her memories?
Veronica pitied herself even more. She wanted to know everything, but how? Veron didn't even want to tell her everything, not even the households in their pack.
Veronica didn't know how long she slept, but she woke up when she heard someone walking closer to her. She opened her eyes too fast and looked at whoever it was. It was Helene who was looking at her with disgust.
"You are still alive. Veronica, why do I know that you see what me and Jaxon have done to his office? Is it too familiar to you? Well, if you want to know the truth, I'm happy to tell everything for you." Helene stated this and gave her a comforting smile. Veronica blinked her eyes and tried to control her emotions. She didn't like to burst out in anger .
"Veronica, you are stupid not to even think about me as your rival. You and Jaxon conceived Morgan because you are his slut. Did you know that you are the successor of your pack?" Helene twitched her lips, and there was a mockery in her face. Her eyes were glowing red, and it was evident that she resented Veronica so much.
Veronica was stunned because of what Helene had been saying to her. She was the successor of their pack? It means that she was an Alpha Female, which made her even more disappointed. How could a female Alpha act like an Omega?
"Why are you saying these to me? Helene, why don't you leave me alone? I don't want you to be here in my room. I felt that I was smelling some stink." Veronica remarked, which made Helene laugh so loudly. Veronica's hand balled into a fist. She didn't like how Helene was being sarcastic with her.
"Veronica, did you even know that I'm the daughter of an Alpha King? Oh, I'm sorry that I forgot that you lost your memories. Seriously, Veronica, I felt bad for you. You endured how Jaxon treated you like his personal slut while I'm the one he's going to marry." Helene uttered something that made Veronica dumbfounded. Veronica didn't know what she was going to say because she didn't even know if Helene might be telling the truth.
"Why don't you ask other people here? Jaxon loves me. Did you know that he lost his parents because he fought his love for me? Ask them. I'm telling you the truth. You came here to the pack because you got pregnant, and you needed Jaxon's to sustain your son. You were a rogue when your pack kicked you out because you are such a disgrace to your family."
"At first, Jaxon was suspicious, so he asked for a DNA test to make sure that the baby was his. After that, he treated you like his personal whore, while I was the one he loved. You caught us having sex at the table; you know our setup. You loved him, but he didn't love you back because I have his heart."
"Veronica, even though you did some things for Jaxon, it won't change the fact that Jaxon is mine. We are getting married, and I will be the stepmother of your son. Don't worry; I will make sure that your son will still feel the love of his mother. I'm going to accept him and make sure that he will learn everything that I want." Helene spat, which made Veronica start to pant in such madness.
What Veronica had been seeing was only red. She didn't like what Helene had said to her. Stepmother? She's the only mother of Morgan, and if Jaxon would marry Helene, she might rather take Morgan with her.
"Helene, you are such a fucking bitch! I'm Morgan's mother, and you kept blabbering some nonsense words: " Veronica's face turned pinkish, and she felt how her blood boiled because of Helene. She wanted to grab her and cut her throat.
Helene scoffed. She rolled her eyes and smiled evilly. "Veronica, I'm not saying some nonsense since I'm going to marry Jaxon; it means that I'm Morgan's new mother. I will love him, and I will make sure that I replace you in his heart, too. Morgan was such a nice child; sadly, he might have died in my hands."
Veronica heard about Morgan's death. She finally lost her control and attacked Helene in anger. Helene screamed when Veronica went to her top, and started gripping her hair.
”Fuck you, bitch! Fuck you!” Veronica shouted.
