“Ahhh!" Helene's screams roamed inside Veronica's hospital room. Helene tried to struggle with Veronica's hands, but she failed. Helene felt that she might lose her life when Veronica sat on her stomach and continued slapping her.
Veronica was known as gentle, and now she turned into a beast. Veronica was clenching her teeth when her eyes were glowed in red.
“Help!” Helena asks someone for help and hopes that Veronica will stop hurting her. She tried to push Veronica away from her, but Veronica was too adamant to hurt her.
“Huh? Did you think that I would let myself be bullied by you again? Fuck you! Before you kill m son, I will be the one who will kill you using my hands!” Veronica shrieked, and she was about to punch Helene when a strong hand stopped her. Veronica felt someone pulling her away from Helene's top.
Helene felt dizzy, and when she saw Jaxon looking at her, she didn't stop herself from crying. Helene bit her lips; she thought that she would lose her life that time when Veronica was hurting her.
“J-Jaxon, did you see what this bitch did to me?” Helene got the chance to get Jaxon's sympathy. She cried so hard while Uriel was holding Veronica. Helene bit her lips and hugged Jaxon tightly. She exaggerated the sounds of her cries which made Jaxon frown.
“What are you doing, Veronica? Did you know that she's the Alpha King's daughter?" Jaxon roared and gave Veronica a death glare.
Veronica looked at Jaxon expressionless. She crossed her arms and scoffed, “Alpha, did you even think I would hurt someone because I hate them? Aside from that, you ask this woman to go here and bully me.”
“Helene bully you? But it's different to what I see.” Jaxon stared at Helene's face, and he noticed that there was a long scratch on her shoulder. Veronica was different, so Jaxon thought that Veronica needed to learn how to respect him and others.
Jaxon looked at Uriel, still holding his hands in Veronica's arms. He growled as if trying to tell Uriel he was looking at Uriel's hands.
Uriel, on the other hand, removed his hands from Veronica's hand. He massaged his nape because Jaxon had told him to stop Veronica from hurting Helene, and now Jaxon acted like a jealous young boy.
“Veronica, I know you already know that I'm planning to have you as the Luna of my pack. But it doesn't give you the right to hurt someone, especially when that someone didn't even know how to protect herself from you .” Jaxon mumbled and signaled Uriel to put Veronica in bed. January didn't know what he would do next once the Alpha King discovered what Veronica had done to Helene; he was sure he would do anything to pay her daughter back.
“Protecting herself from me? She's the one who goes here and speaks words I don't like. Alpha, if you are fair enough, you will listen to my explanation too.” Veronica mumbled, making Helene scared that Veronica might say what she said. Helene knew that she needed to do something so Veronica would get to tell Jaxon what she had said to trigger her.
“Jaxon, I only asked her if she's okay. I needed to explain my side to her, but when I was about to say sorry, Veronica attacked me. I'm scared, Jaxon.” Helene mumbled and closed her eyes when she hugged Jaxon tightly. Helene wanted to jump for joy when Jaxon gave Veronica a nasty stare.
“You are such a liar, Helene. You provoked me to get mad at you, and now you will act like I was the one who did something wrong with you. I'm only trying to protect my child against you!” Veronica almost yelled, which made Jaxon scowl because he knew how Helene always wanted to have a child.
“I didn't do anything wrong with you! Jaxon, please, do something. I will tell this to the Alpha King if you didn't do anything so I can get justice." When Helene mentioned the Alpha King, he knew Veronics might fit because of what she had done against Helebe.
Veronica parted her lips and was about to avoid the interrogation when Veronica saw how Jaxon was taking care of Helene while Jaxon didn't even mind if she was hurt.
Veronica didn't remove her sight from Jaxon and Helene. She didn't want to remove it because she wanted to make herself be slapped by the reality that Jaxon would never be hers.
“Jaxon, please do something. I almost die! If you are how she attacked me, it's too scary.” Helene sobbed and embraced Jaxon. Veronica knew that Helene was only acting because Helene intentionally made her see how she smirked at her.
Jaxon was torn; he gazed at Veronica to see if she regretted what she had done towards Helene, but Jaxon didn't see the regret in her eyes. Instead, Veronica wasn't affected by how Helene cried or if he would choose to put her in prison.
“Veronica... Do you want to say something? You see how afraid Helene is whenever she is looking at you?” Jaxon couldn't stop himself from getting annoyed when Veronica shrugged. He didn't like that Veronica was acting strange.
“Do you want me to tell you why I attacked her?” Veronica asked, and there was a seriousness in her tone. She crossed her arms, and Jaxon felt the old Veronica, the soon-to-be Alpha aura, was back. “If I tell you what she had said to provoke me, will you believe me? Alpha, I'm not explaining my side because you will only believe whatever you want.”
“Helene said something to trigger me, and now she was acting as if I was the one who pushed myself to attack her. As the alpha, you should be fair and will listen to both sides of the story, right?” Veronica pursed her lips as her eyes became fierce.
