"Did you hear what I said? You are not me, Veronica. Unfortunately, Jaxon promised me that I was the only one that he would love in the end. It was so good to hear those promises." Helene scoffed, which made Veronica look at her. Helene was wearing sexy lingerie.
Helene's body was more evident because of the fitter, more sexy black lingerie she wore in front of Veronica. There was a smile on her lips because she made sure that before she left the dungeon, Veronica needed to see what she looked like.
"Do you like what you see, Veronica? Jaxon asked me to wear this. He missed me sleeping with him while I was wearing some stunning lingerie. Veronica, I want to be okay with you because I will be the stepmother of your son. I'm sorry if I provoked you. I don't like when someone doesn't keep their promises." Helene said it in the sweet tone that she always used when she was with Jaxon. Veronica groaned.
Veronica wasn't stupid enough to not realize that Helene only acted in front of her. She wouldn't trust someone like Helene, especially since Helene had a thick face and was an actress wannabe!
Veronica's hands balled into a fist before she gave Helene a murderous gaze. Veronica didn't want to compete with Helene, but Helene always provoked her.
‘I will make sure that you will regret that you provoked me, Helene. You will be like me; I want to see how you will get hurt because of Jaxon. Damn you, bitch.’ Veronica thought.
She sighed, and slowly her facial expression changed, which made Helene stunned for a little moment. Helene was astounded at how she saw Veronica's angry facial expression turn into one of calmness. Veronica smiled sweetly.
"Helene, is this your way to make me feel that Jaxon didn't love me? You kept telling me that he is in love with you; why don't you ask her to mate with you?" Veronica gulped and tasted the bitterness on her tongue. Her eyes were fierce, and she gave Helene a sympathetic look. "It looks like your parents didn't even know how to raise you. I feel bad for you, and I hope that you will raise your child to be a good person."
"Are you trying to imply that I'm evil, Veronica? I told you that I'm the first woman that Jaxon has loved and cherished. Ask them if I'm telling the truth." Helene was trying to remove Veronica's confidence. She was gritting her teeth, and her eyes formed tears.
"I wish that you still remembered what we both did. You found out about my relationship with him. Veronica, as a woman, I barely understand you." Helene added.
"I'm not asking for your great understanding, Helene. I'm not even telling you to act like a reasonable person in front of me because I know how fake you are. If you want to take Jaxon away from me, then take him. Why don't you spread your legs in front of him? Seduce him!" Veronica roared, and her heart started to beat so loudly. Her wolf didn't like what she was trying to say to Helene, and Veronica understood why.
Her wolf loved Alpha Jaxon so much that she wasn't willing to let Veronica speak those words. Veronica's wolf was weeping because of what she was trying to say to Helene.
"You finally carried his child. Congratulations to you, Helene. Do you want me to announce these new members to every member here in this pack?" Veronica added, which made Helene have a panicked expression. Helene blinked her eyes and clenched her teeth because of what she was hearing from Veronica.
"Don't you dare." Helene's jaw clenched. Her eyes glowed " Helene's jaw clenched. Her eyes glowed red, and her canines were showing.
"I'm the Alpha King's daughter. I can't believe that you want to humiliate me, Veronica. Are you trying to make me see your true colors?"
"Wait..." Veronica waved her hand as if she were trying to make Helene stop talking with her. Veronica acted like she was thinking. She pursed her lips before she smiled. "Helene, did you forget that it is you who likes to deceive someone? You acted like you were too good when you were with me in the hospital. You even invited me to your mating ceremony with Alpha Jaxon. Is this your way to make me see your true colors?"
Veronica grinned, which made Helene speechless. Helene didn't know what she was going to say, but she hoped she could enter behind the bar. She wanted to smack Veronica's face for putting her words in her mouth.
"Don't get me wrong. I don't think that it's good that you are here. Are you thinking about your baby's safety? Helene, think about your baby. The child needs the mother's affection and security." Veronica looked at Helene with love.
Helene gasped when Veronica didn't stop smiling at her. She felt that she lost again to Veronica, even though Veronica had amnesia. Helene couldn't stop herself from thinking that Veronica might steal Jaxon away from her. Veronica had the power to demand Jaxon's marriage, but she still didn't do it.
"Thank you for your concern about my baby." Helene forced herself to stop smiling before she chuckled nervously. "Veronica, you can be my child's godmother; I'm not that bad."
"No, thanks. I would rather stay with my son. Helene, stop acting like you really want me to be your son's godmother. I don't think that you meant it." Veronica decides to be honest with Helene, which makes Helene stop because of how frank she is.
Veronica turned around and went back to her bed, which made Helene try to calm herself down again. "You are so full of yourself, Veronica. Why don't you consider yourself lucky? The Alpha King's daughter wanted to be friends with you. Friends are a better offer than being your enemy, right?"
"Will you please leave me? Helene, I'm not a man. Stop making me see your lingerie because I don't have a dick between my thighs." Veronica uttered something that made Helene realize that she was wearing lingerie.
"Helene, what are you doing here?" Helene almost stopped breathing when she heard a manly tone.
