Covet Me, My Heartless Alpha Chapter 69

Veronica looked at Jaxon, who was staring at her while preparing an ice cream for him. She couldn't stop herself from getting conscious because of Jaxon's eyes. She felt that someone was looking at her like a hawk.

“What are you doing? You make me feel uncomfortable. It's your fault if this ice cream fails." She said. Jaxon smiled at him.

“Well, if it fails, I'm about to blame. I want to see how you prepare my ice cream with so much love. Veronica, I'm thinking of a way that I will use your ice cream. What about I will use this while it is placed in your nipples?” He teased.

After she heard what he told her, the shock was evident on her face. She tried to compose her composure and acted like she wasn't affected.

“Alpha Jaxon, don't you have any meeting that you need to---”

“I don't have. Our pack is fine, and they didn't need their Alpha today. What about you? Do you need me tonight?” he asked back. She laughed wholeheartedly. She didn't know what she was going to answer. She felt her body ached because of what Jaxon had done to her the whole night.

And it looked like Jaxon didn't want to waste the opportunity to be with her again. She pouted, which made him walk closer to her.

“Stop pouting. I will kiss you if you continue what you are trying to do.” Jaxon uttered, which made her pout again. He coldly smiled and planted a soft kiss on her lips. Slowly, she felt how her heart thumped so fast.

She felt like she was having a heart attack, and it was because of Alpha Jaxon. Her mouth trembled when Jaxon stopped kissing her.

“Alpha Jaxon, you always kept kissing me. Is this your way of making me forget what you did to me? I want to ask if it's true that I was the daughter of an Alpha.”

Jaxon frowned. He hardly breathes, forcing himself to smile at her before asking, ”Where did you get the idea? Did you think that you are an Alpha's daughter? If you are an Alpha's daughter, did you know who your father is?”

She bit her lips, lowered her head, and felt unhappy. Why does she think that he was trying to avoid questions? She felt that Jaxon wanted to make sure she knew everything. Was he trying to check if she had finally recovered her memories?

“I don't know about myself. I only heard it, and I forgot whoever they are.” She lied. She didn't want to say that Helene told her, especially since Veron finally admitted that Helene was telling her the truth. “They said I'm the Alphas daughter, but I got kicked out of my pack because I got pregnant. It was a hot topic because I was known to be the strongest Alpha female, but I don't think it's me because I'm not even strong.”

Jaxon was taken aback. He prohibited his servants from telling everything to Veronica, but it looked like they didn't know that Veronica was secretly listening to their conversation. He was suspicious because no one didn't even know that Veronica was an Alpha female. His servants knew Veronica went to his pack because he got her pregnant.

His servants knew that he didn't believe that the baby was his because he didn't even know that it was Veronica. He had sex. How did Veronica see that she was the daughter of an Alpha if his servants didn't know about that information because he hid it?

“Am I not truly welcome to this pack? Was this the reason why they didn't want to talk with me? I felt that I had a sickness that they needed to avoid because they are scared that they may carry it.” she added.

Jaxon sighed. He didn't know what he would say because he felt that if he lied to Veronica, she might leave him. He didn't want that to happen.

“Do you want to recover your memories? Veronica, what would you do if your memories had a painful past of yours? Do you still want to remember your memories or not?" Jaxon asked back, which made Veronica scowl. She knew now what Helene told her was true.

“I still want to remember it even though I will be happy. Jaxon, it's my memories. It's part of myself.” she wondered. She couldn't hide the hope that she had in her heart. She was still hoping that the memories would be back.

“Did you even think that forgetting your memories is like a blessing in disguise if your memories are painful and traumatic?"

She was puzzled even more. She didn't know what she was going to say anymore. Why does she feel that Jaxon didn't want her to remember every one of her memories? What, he scared that after she remembered, she would leave him?

“Alpha Jaxon, you are making me feel that I will regret it if I remember everything. Is there something bad that happened to me that I didn't want to remember?” she was hesitant when she inquired of him.

“I don't want you to get hurt, Veronica. Aside from that, I already change. Is that what is important now? We are finally okay, and you don't need to think about what I might do with Helene. ” He tried to hide his fear, but she still noticed it.

Veronica still couldn't understand why Jaxon didn't want her to recollect her memories. She was still staring at the ceiling while Jaxon left her because there was a sudden emergency that he needed to work on.

Because of how bothered she was, Veronica decided to visit Morgan in his room. When she reached Morgan's room, Morgan was sleeping peacefully.

Veronica moved closer to him and hugged Morgan tightly, waking him slowly. Morgan yawned and gazed at her.

“Mom, are you alright?” Morgan embraced her, which made her slowly want to sleep. Morgan caressed her hair. “Mommy, I can help you to sleep,” Morgan mumbled.

Veronica didn't say anything but kissed Morgan on his head. She sniffed Morgan's smell, and she didn't know when she fell asleep.

She was sleeping peacefully beside Morgan. Why does she feel that she will lose Morgan soon?

Jaxon hardly breathes. He thought that Veronica left him. But he located her in Morgan's room. Jaxon felt tried to remove the fear in his heart. Was he selfish to stop Veronica from remembering her memories?
