“Alpha Jaxon, what is this?” Veronica asked when she saw Jaxon put a black envelope on the table. She frowned slowly, and took the small black envelope. She opened it and saw that the Alpha King was invited them to a big celebration. She widened her eyes in shock but she didn't know why Jaxon had been giving her the invitation for the Alpha King's party.
“Why are you giving me this? Do you want me to go there and represent you?” She gazed back at the envelope and touched the gold letterings they used to write Jaxon's name.
”What makes you think that I want you to be my representative? What I want you to do is to become my date. That's the reason why I gave this to you!” he roared. He looked annoyed when she gave her a murderous glare.
She was taken aback and felt embarrassed. She wanted to ask herself why she concluded that he wanted her to be his representative. Why didn't she think he might invite her to be his date?
“Oh, I'm sorry. I don't know that you want to have a date like me. Jaxon, I don't want to ruin your name, and I'm sure if I'm your mate, they will talk behind your back. They will tell you that you didn't have a taste for your woman.” She couldn't stop herself from expressing what she was thinking. She gripped her clothes and gave him a looked.
“Why are you saying those words in yourself? Veronica, I didn't even know that you have some insecurities?” he pursed his lips and pulled Veronica closer to her. Jaxon kissed Veronica's neck, and smelled her scent to calm himself from overreacting to what Veronica had an opinion about herself.
“I want you to become my date. I know you didn't know what the Alpha King's look like, but you already met him. You are my date because you are the future Luna of my pack.” he added. Veronica nodded her head, and she wished that she could remember what Jaxon had been telling her. She wanted to remember how was her experience of being surrounded by the most influential men.
“I wish that I can remember those memories. I feel bad because I don't want you to think that I don't want to date with you in a party.” she mumbled which made him laughed.
Veronica couldn't stop herself from getting anxious especially when Damon informed her that he wanted them to be look like a couple.
The theme of the Alpha King's party was black and gold, and she was excited to go to the Alpha King's party.
“I want you too choose a gown for me. I don't want to choose a gown that doesn't pass in your taste.” She couldn't stop herself from getting worried. She didn't like Jaxon to think that he was choosy to her dress.
Jaxon helped her choosing the gown for her. He chose a color black gown but it had a color gold design. She was amazed when she saw how beautiful the gown was, she couldn't stop herself from smiling especially when she even saw what Jaxon looked like.
“Oh, it's wonderful.” She commented but she paused when she imagined what Jaxon looked like when their mating ceremony started. She bit her lips while her cheeks burner because of what she was thinking.
Jaxon noticed how she blushed, which made her lower her head. Jaxon looked good in his imagination. “It's a great suit. It's fit, and you look to your suits. Are you sure that it is fine to be with even thought the Alpha King didn't even invite me intentionally?”
“Alpha King had a lot in his schedule. Don't be sad, I think that he will be happy to see you again.” Jaxon conforted her which made her stunned.
She didn't even know that she was close to the Alpha King?
The party came, and she saw how Jaxon acted he was pure, smile when someone of his friends came to her. She looked at Alpha Jaxon who was looking at her from afar.
When she looked around, Veronica's smile changed when she saw Helene who was walking to Alpha Jaxon's directions. Helene touched Jaxon's hand, and gave her a look.
“Helene, what are you doing? Veronica is my date.” Alpha Jaxon murmured, but Helene didn't even think twice. She pulled Jaxon away from Veronica which made Helene act that away.
She said to herself that she needed to learn how to stop her emotion. She shouldn't continue to act like a victim who always got hurt by the villain.
Jaxon didn't have choice but to come with Helene. In the end, he ended up talking the Alpha King and forgot about her. Helene was smiling while her hands folded in Alpha Jaxon's arms.
“Veronica..." Someone called her name which made her turned around. She saw a woman who was looking at her while she saw a two adults who were with her. She blinked her eyes when she felt her head burst in pain when she saw them.
Who were they?
“Veronjca, did you even know that I'm trying my best to search for you!” The woman rushed to her direction. She was stunned because she don't even know her but she hugged her as if she truly knew her.
“I'm sorry. Do I know you?” The woman was taken aback when she heard what she asked her. She saw how the woman's mouth parted and looked at her. “Wait, are you my classmate?”
“What happened to you? Did you even know that we tried our best to search for you? We found out that you were in the middle of the wood, and I thought that you are mad at me when you left the pack. Don't do this again.” The woman said, which confused even more.
”I'm sorry, but who are you? I don't even know you..” She tried not to tremble when she felt the sudden emotion that was about to burst. The woman paused.
“I'm Ava. I'm you sister.” the woman replied which made her stunned for a little movement.
