Veronica clenched her hands in anger. She didn't know why those women kept talking about her and her sister. She gulped. Her body trembled in the madness that she only wished to hurt the women who kept backstabbing them.
She looked at the room where Helene went inside. She stood up and acted strong enough to face the truth. She walked where Helene went but ensured those guests wouldn't notice that she was checking the room.
When she was finally in front of the room, she started to tremble when she saw that the door where slightly opened. Her eyes didn't move to where Jaxon was now. Jaxon was between Helene's legs, and he kept moving his hips while Helene was trembling.
Her eyes slowly formed tears, and her mouth trembled. She gasped and watched how Jaxon growled while he kept thrusting inside of Helene.

“V--Veronica..” He whispered her name. She shook her head in resentment before she ran out of the room, which made him stunned for a little moment.
He even looked at Helene, who was looking at him with lust. He removed his dick inside her, which made Helene sneer. “What did you do, Helene?” He angrily asked.
Helene didn't say anything but acted innocent. She even bit her lips and watched Jaxon wearing his clothes.
Veronica was running so fast because she couldn't handle her anger anymore. When she finally ran out of the party hall, she didn't even know that she was sobbing. The emotions that she felt were more significant than her self-control.
She almost stumbled when her feet landed on the muddy part of the land. She gnashed her teeth and removed the heels on her feet.
“Ugh... Damn it..” she cursed. She ripped that end part of her gown and continued running away from the Alpha King's pack house.
She was shocked, and it looked like the sky was grieving. When she felt how painful her feet were, she kneeled and snarled in so much anger.
Jaxon used her and betrayed her always. He didn't love her. Her heart was clenching with her thoughts.
“Jaxon... You will fucking regret this!” She screamed so loudly and at the same time that thunder splashed onto the tree, which made the tree burn. The heavy rain started flowing, and she slightly opened her eyes.
She didn't want to die yet. She would make sure that she wouldn't be treated like how Jaxon treated her.
Her vision started to get blurry, and she felt dizzy. She gasped before she stumbled from the muddy part.
“Veronica!” A paled man kept calling her name, but she didn't have the strength to speak. She tried to maintain her eyes open, but she couldn't anymore.
“Veronica!” The man rushed on her, and when she opened her eyes once again, she saw Veron, who was looking at her with worry.
“Veronica, open your eyes. Shit!” Veron carried her like his bride and rushed towards the pack hospital. He even saw Jaxon, who was searching for Veronica. When he saw Veron carrying Veronica, his eyes darkened in jealousy and followed him.
When Veronica opened her eyes, she saw Veron sleeping on the couch. Her throat was dry, but she felt heavy. Her head started to spin, and she heard some voices.
She closed her eyes and tried to relax. She started to pant, and the images of her with Ava flashed in her mind.
The door opened, and she saw Jaxon, who was entering the ward. He looked like he was upset about something.
“Veronica, we need to go home. I receive a call that Morgan is missing.” Jaxon informed her, which made her tremble in fear. While Veron was still unconscious, Jaxon took Veronica out of the Alpha King's pack.
It looked like he was in a hurry, and when they finally reached the pack, they saw many guards searching for the missing Morgan.
“W.. What is happening?” Veronica couldn't stop herself from asking. She gulped and looked around.
“Luna, Morgan has been missing since last night. We are all worried for him. There was heavy rain last night---”
“What did you say?” She shrieked; she ran and started searching for Morgan.
“Morgan!”
“Morgan! Mommy is here! Please, come back.”
“Luna Veronica!“ Uriel rushed towards her when she stumbled and bumped her head on the rock. She was unconscious, which made Jaxon panic, and they took her to the hospital.
When Veronica got awake, she started to scream while she was crying. All she thought was only Morgan, still missing, while her head spun. The images of her past flashed in her mind.
She even saw how Jaxon mistreated her, which she endured for Morgan. She sobbed when the memories that she had with Morgan came. She loved him so much that she would do everything for his future.
“Mo--Morgan,” she whispered, crying in agony while kneeling on the bed.
