Adrian was about to act when Meggie stopped him, she looked up and high in the sky was a petite feminine figure.
Meggie frowned, " Stay here, Fiona, let’s go." Her and Fiona moved, with a wave of her she sent a tsunami of flames.
The flames covered kilometres and rolled towards the Grieved Souls like a flood that ripped the ground to shreds.
While fire wasn’t enough to take down these things, they were still ghosts and it could slow them down for a moment.
As expected, the Grieved Souls slowed down giving the man a chance to bolt but he hadn’t gotten far when she appeared in front of him.
Her face was shrouded in black fog but the man knew exactly who it was. He started shivering in fear.
She gently touched his chest and the next moment he dropped from the sky, his body started freezing slowly.
His esper felt slow as if in a quagmire, the Grieved Souls broke free of Meggie’s sea of fire and surrounded the man.
12 rings of 12 formed around him and the Grieved Souls started weeping. " Delay her." Meggie told Fiona.
Fiona stretched her shoulders, " It’s been a while since I took action." BOOOOOM, the ground beneath her feet shattered and sunk.
A crater a hundred metres wide and dozen metres deep formed, Fiona turned into a streak and lunged at the Bloody Mary.
" Ahhhh!" She roared in excitement and punched, her fist broke the air and sent a shockwave that ripped the ground to shreds.
Yet the Bloody Mary did not move or even try to dodge, Fiona did not stop her attack and punched the Bloody Mary on the face.
BOOOOOM, the ground shattered and a shockwave spread out like calamitous winds of destruction.
The ground shook for thousands of Kilometres like there was a massive earthquake.
It rose and fell like a wave sending stones weighing tons flying through the air, Adrian and Annie took to the sky.
He formed a barrier around them but the force still rattled their internals and they were standing kilometres away from the impact.
" What kind of power is this?" Annie asked looking shocked, Adrian was the same. He knew power increased exponentially with each level but this was too much.
Even the strongest hydrogen bomb did not even come close to this kind of power, this was continent splitting level of destruction.
Somewhere else even further from Adrian and Annie, a young boy shivered like a cold cat.
Two beings appeared in front of him to protect him even though their power would definitely not be enough.
Fortunately the shockwave, the earthquake and all the destruction around seemed to avoid him like a plague.
Ge breathed a sigh of relief and looked around, except for 20 metres all around, everywhere else was nothing but destruction.
Crevices had formed on the ground stretching in all directions like spiderwebs for as fast as he could see.
Giant rocks had turned dust forming a desert around him, the fear he was feeling rose to new heights.
His human brain couldn’t comprehend the level of power needed for one to cause so much destruction, ’ Is this a god?’ he wondered.
The dust cleared and everybody saw the results of Fiona’s attack. The Bloody Mary had not moved.
Fiona was kneeling behind her with her fist on the ground. Everything around her had been destroyed and ripped to shreds.
She stood in a 2 kilometres wide crater that was nearly a kilometre deep, cracks as wide as hundreds of metres spread from the crater as the centre.
Her punch had pulverised the ground to dust forming a massive desert that stretched for hundreds of kilometres.
Fiona stood up and looked behind her at the Bloody Mary then at Meggie. Meggie just shook her head.
" She can turn herself intangible." She warned Fiona.
" You should’ve told me that from the start." Fiona waved her hand and a bow appeared then she pulled the string.
An arrow formed, its presence shook and bent the air around it, the arrow was small but incredibly heavy.
BOOOOOM, the air shattered when she released it and the air bent space on its path.
It moved so fast all Adrian saw was a blur and it had reached the Bloody Mary, like before she did not react.
But when the arrow touched her, her white dress started smoking as if burning, she screeched and disappeared.
Fiona grinned," Should’ve used these from the start." The arrows weren’t formed from her ability.
They had been prepared by Meggie before they came, they were made from pure enchanted iron.
Soaked in the water of the burning ocean from the northern wilderness. The salt from the ocean had an even more effects on spirits.
However getting even a drop of that water required one to be incredibly powerful. Since it was in the wilderness.
The place was crawling with Gadra some even reaching the demigod level, Meggie venturing there as a level 8 witch was already incredible.
But it appeared to be worth it, since the dress was the Shroud Of Mary which was a spirit relic, it burnt with the Bloody Mary instead of protecting her.
Meggie didn’t waste the opportunity. " Mbani." She cast a spell and the clouds above churned.
Thunder flashed and a bolt of lightning as thick as a bucket descended with blinding speed heading for the rings of the weeping Grieved Souls.
Adrian frowned, Meggie should know this attack would not be enough to take down Grieved Souls.
He realised how mistaken he was, she was not aiming for them. The bolt moved faster than he can react.
It seemed he wasn’t the only one to realise her plan though, the Bloody Mary reappeared.
The shroud of Mary she was wearing danced in the wind like a curtain in the wind and a ghost hand appeared.
The hand was massive, with fingers as large as trees, it moved slowly yet reached the rings even before the bolt of lightning.
The hand reached up to block the lightning bolt, light flashed when they clashed blinding even Adrian.
Meggie clicked her tongue, her target had not been the Bloody Mary but the target of the grieved souls.
Meggie wasn’t certain of this as it had never been done before but she wanted to kill him to see if that will prevent the key from forming.
She figured if he dies, his soul will depart and the Grieved Souls would lose a crucial ingredient to form the key.
’ Based on her reaction, it seems there’s some ground to me theory, if only I’ve thought of this earlier.’
The light cleared and the Bloody Mary appeared, the fog covering her face was gone and the face of a young teenage girl appeared.
" E...eve?"
" Big Sister?"
Two voices called out at the same time sounding confused.
