Demon Slayer: Rise of The First Werewolf Chapter 215

Eve looked through this slits and felt a tremendously powerful aura from the other side.

A woman sat there bound by chains that appeared to be anchored into space itself.

" DON’T LOOK!" Meggie shouted at Adrian but it was too late. The woman moved but she was not the issue.

The cage or rather the dimension she was in seemed to look back at Adrian, he couldn’t explain it.

But he felt his soul being dragged out of his body towers this open slit in space. Adrian panicked.

Fortunately Meggie reacted fast enough and bound his soul back to his body, she grabbed Fiona’s body and teleported all of them away.

" What was that?" Adrian asked as soon as they reacted Meggie’s hut. His breathing was still rapidly.

He could still feel the dread of what he had seen.

" Purgatory." Meggie answered with dread. " It is a primal realm of nothingness, legends say it was created as a prison for a primal God.

Now monsters whose power rival that of Gods are locked up in there as well, the cages for all of the seals are there.

The Bloody Mary is out, we need to prepare and inform the others, the other seals will break soon as well."

She sounded grim and kept pacing around the hut. Fiona stood up, she was still alive but she looked pale.

" How soon will the other seals break? Do we have time?" She asked.

Meggie shook her head, " I don’t know, there’s no set time for the others to come out.

It could be a year before the second one, perhaps longer and maybe even a day, I really don’t know.

Either way, we need to retrieve them and lock the cage back up, otherwise.." she didn’t finish her sentence.

" I’m sorry, I.." Cane spoke, finally they remembered he was here as well and everybody felt a headache.

Annie appeared in front of him, " Do you want to come with me?" She asked trying to sound as gentle as she could.

Cane looked at her and remembered what Eve had said before, he had thought that was just a dream.

" Ca..can I help my sister if I come with you?" He asked but Annie didn’t know how to answer.

She wanted to say yes but decided against it, it was best to just tell the truth. " I don’t know but you’ll most likely have a higher chance."

Cane nodded and agreed, " You all need to go and prepare and Adrian, be careful, with the first seal broken.

The Axioms are most likely to wake up, they’ll come after you and worse, their little pets might come along."

Meggie looked terrified when speaking of those little pets, even more so than when she faced the Bloody Mary.

They all left leaving Meggie with Fiona, she teleported them back to their base when Adrian summoned all the werewolves.

Annie told them everything and how dreadful the Bloody Mary was, the werewolves looked terrified.

" It’s not hopeless, as a spirit, while her power is immense, it’s highly circumstantial, she can be dealt with."

She reassured the werewolves, seeing their hopeful gazes Adrian finally spoke.

" Unfortunately only those without a hint of regret about the death of another can deal with her.

Even if you don’t regret killing anybody, she can impose their memories and feelings on you.

Should you sympathise, she will switch your fates, you all understand what that means no?"

They all nodded with grim faces but Annie being more perceptive could see that some didn’t understand.

They just nodded to not look stupid around the others so she decided to explain anyways.

" You will die while the ghost will come to life." The dread on their faces finally settled upon realising how grim the situation was.

One Omega werewolf raised his hand to speak. " Boss lady, you’re saying even with the strength of the werewolves we can’t resist?"

He found that hard to believe but that was because he lacked understanding of spirits, especially great spirit.

Take Djinns for example, a Djinn’s power wasn’t a matter of its strength, there are no Djinns who can grant wishes better than others or vise versa.

Without a wish and a wisher a Djinn is as powerless as a child even though they cannot be harmed.

But when a wish is made, they can draw power from their realm just like fairies to grant wishes.

While there were limits to what they can grant, those limitations were due to the rules governing their race.

That’s because the power of most great spirits is the power of law itself. Strength is irrelevant.

As long as you don’t meet the conditions to resist their power, even a God could very easily fall to them.

However everything had exceptions, Adrian believed there were monsters out there who can resist the power of law.

After explaining everything to them, it was time to tell them their objectives. The werewolves waited eagerly.

Most of them had nothing to do for months being locked up here, finally having a chance to get out and have action was exciting.

As for the new recruits brought by Diego in the past few months, they were even more excited.

After all, they had just gotten superpowers and we’re eager to try them out. Adrian remembers being like that as well.

’ They’ll get themselves killed.’ he thought to himself with a sigh.

" Athi." He called out.

" Yes boss." Athi answered in a flat tone, unlike the others she was rarely at base and knew she’d be sent out again.

" You’ll lead this mission alongside Alex, the objective is to track and gather information about the movements of the Bloody Mary."

Athi and Alex nodded and were ready to call their lineage members and set out at any moment.

Annie spoke next. " Unlike the vessel, the Bloody Mary’s scale of influence will be much smaller but much more dangerous.

As such, she will most likely target places with high concentration of either Fayera or human life, that means cities and towns.

So we’re looking for places that experienced sudden massive drop in temperature, unnaturally high number of ghosts sightings and sudden mysterious deaths.

Considering the world has so many monsters, I know pinpointing her will be hard and you might chase some other things believing it’s her but it doesn’t matter.

If there are signs, you go after it." They all nodded with understanding.

" You’ll all go." Adrian spoke softly but his voice made Athi and Alex freeze, they expected this to be left to their lineages alone.

" The realm beyond the mist is vast, too vast and the spread of information is at the level of the medieval ages.

Your two lineages alone will not be enough, you’ll spread out, you’ll work in groups of at least two.

The new recruits must be with at least one older werewolf. Sanchez, Diego and Isabella will deal with the human world.

Considering how fast information gathering is there, this should be easy to the three of you.

Remember, you are not to take action or get too close, if you learn anything, relay the information.

If you ever find yourself with in her sphere of influence, even your immortality will not save you."

To be honest, even Adrian wasn’t sure about the last part but considering the Bloody Mary directly transfers fate rather than wounds, he wasn’t willing to bet.
