Fated Tó The Evil Viking Chapter 88

"Stand down guys!" I commanded immediately as I stepped into the conference room.

The three of them; Eric, Ivar, and Henrik, looked surprised to see me, or should I say afraid. Perhaps they were afraid that I might suddenly go crazy and start to tear the whole place apart as I did inside the arena's ladies' bathroom. They had no idea of what I did to get myself more in control of my emotions.

I looked from their surprised faces to the old men they all wanted to fight and I sighed. Sometimes I wonder who was crazier between Eric and me. I mean how on earth could he think of fighting them? Elders are supposed to be powerful but it was obvious that these ones were not given the position because of their strength.

Elders like my dad and Alpha Nate for example still have a lot of fights left in them but these ones are not worth the trouble their death would bring on me, their Alpha. What was Eric thinking!?

I walked inside and sat beside Ivar...

"Hey man, you're awake?" Eric asked, looking from me to Ella who came into the room with me.

I wanted to reply to him with sarcasm for asking if I was awake when it was obvious to everybody in the room that I clearly wasn't sleepwalking. I mean what better way to let him know that I'm now right in the head than to start roasting him right in front of these clowns?

Before I could open my mouth though one of the old timers beat me to it. Letting loose some jumbled-up words that I obviously heard but couldn't make any sense out of. His voice grated on my nerves

"Hey! Keep your damn voice down! You're going to give me a headache" I sharply said to him. I don't care if he's an Elder of the Council or not. My brain is obviously still fragile, I'm not about to allow him send me back to loony land.

"Who are they?" I lazily turned to Eric as I reclined in my chair.

Of course, I know who they are. It was obvious from the air of arrogance that surrounded them that they are Council Elders. I just wondered why they were in my pack when the Silver-moon pack has four elders representing us in the Council that they could have sent to deliver whatever message that they had to me.

I suspected whatever reason they had to visit my pack couldn't be good news. If Eric decided to damn all consequences and disrespect them then they certainly didn't come bearing good news

"We are Council Elders and we're here on Council matters." The Elder who spoke earlier also replied to the question I asked Eric

"Okay... And?" I turned my chair toward him to ask with irritation. This particular elder was irritating the fuck out of me.

So what if they're council elders and are here for council matters? Does that give them the right to come to my pack, act out of line, and speak at will? This is my pack, my conference room that you're all sitting in without being invited to so you don't interrupt while I'm speaking with my people.

There was no response to my question. One of them however brought out his phone and called in a cameraman. That was when I knew this must be more serious than I thought. Eric wanted to protest but I stopped him. If they were here on Council matters then wouldn't it be in our interest if we hear what they had to say?

And so the drama began. Every one of their movements was exaggerated and comical. From the way one of them brought out some kind of a cloak and made a great show of unfolding it before carefully draping it on the Elder in the middle.

I was bored almost to tears by everything they were doing while they were acting out their melodrama. Even though I suspected they must be in my pack for serious business, my thoughts were totally out of script. All that my crazy mind was thinking of was...

'Wao that cloak is grand. But how could they allow the shortest of them to sit in the middle and wear it? The darn thing made him look like a hobbit. It would have looked so cool and magnificent on the one on the right since he was the tallest of the three. With such a ridiculous pointy hat, the cloak would have made him look impressive like Gandalf The White.'

The cameraman soon came in lugging his tools and a heavy bag with him. I became more attentive since it seemed the show was finally about to start. A file was handed over to the Hobbit Elder who then began to read...

"This is the impeachment proper of Thor Silver, the Alpha of the Silver-moon pack..."

"Wait, wait, wait, what!? Is this some kind of sick joke?" I ask toward Eric in disbelief before turning back to the old bastards. "You're here to impeach me?" This is unbelievable.

They just continued filming and reading, disregarding my question. This whole impeachment shit is ridiculous. I just became the Alpha of Silver-moon Pack yesterday. I've not even been properly sworn in and I'm being impeached!? What kind of stupid plan is Evelyn cooking this time?

"Thor Silver, Alpha of the Silver-moon pack, on behalf of all the one hundred and fifty-nine Elders representing the North-American Shifters..."

That was as far as my brain was able to understand. Through the rest of the reading, I was half focused on taking deep breaths in and letting them out slowly to control the rage I could feel rising in me. Why is this shit being sprung on me by these clowns when the Silver-moon pack has four representatives in the council?

They should have informed me about this immediately when it was brought up in their meeting, yet they kept quiet. Do they think they could embarrass me on TV in front of the world? Do they think I'm going to just sit and allow them to get away with this?... It's not going to happen.

"We charge you with the murder of your predecessor and father, Elder Knox Silver, what do you have to say for yourself?" Elder Hobbit finally looked up from his paper to ask me. The camera also turned in my direction.

I chuckled when I finally heard the reason behind their impeachment. They were charging me for the death of my dad who is currently on holiday in my estate. How ridiculous! If my dad was not involved in this, I would have told them to kiss my ass or go fuck themselves but that would probably give him another heart attack which I've been trying to avoid by all means.

Actually, my dad's heart was not the only one I was worried about. I was worried about Eric's heart too because of how wildly it was beating. He was so afraid I would kill the elders, like weren't the three of them about to do the same if I hadn't walked in on time? I briefly looked in his direction, afraid he would suddenly keel over out of high blood pressure.

"What day is the trial scheduled for? I guess we'll see you all in court right?..." I turn back to reply to Elder Hobbit's question.

I couldn't help but look toward Eric again with a frown when I heard his breath wooshed out in relief. I would have probably laughed at him if I wasn't so mad at the four elders representing Silver Moon on the Council board for conniving to embarrass me on national TV.

"Oh..." I quickly said and turned back to the camera that was turning back to the elders. I wasn't done saying all I had in mind

"This is a message to all of you, Justin, Evelyn, the Elders of Silver Moon pack, and every other antagonist fervently working to bring me down... I am coming for all of you and I'm going to enjoy bathing in your blood!... Guys" I finished saying and called my men. I might not be able to hold back myself if I spend another moment longer in their presence.

"See yourselves out," I gave my parting shot to the elders and hurried out of the room before I reap into their flesh for real
