I'm much calmer now that my human side is more in control.
"Yes!" I replied to him again. The others that are also looking at us also nod in approval as I nod to Eric's questions.
"Now, we're moving forward. We're forging ahead. No more two steps forward and one step back. And the only way we can achieve that is if you trust us and let us handle anything you're incapable of handling at the moment.
Like I said earlier on the issue of your mate, the seer isn't wrong. Everything he told us about her is the truth. I'm saying this because I've seen those qualities in her. Hearing him say this, I would have laughed in amusement if this matter wasn't so serious but it is. No matter what Eric says and how sincere he looks, I know the seer and I can't be right at the same time. One of us must be wrong.

Everyone laughs then. Yes, Eric has a way of making the most awkward and unpleasant moods better.
"So please, Thor. Try not to think about this issue. Concentrate on getting better and leave the rest of the matter to us."
"Yeah, thanks, man..." I say. As we laugh, shake hands, pull each other into a hug, and slap each other's back heartily. I muse on everything I learned from him so far about my mate...
I already know more than he intended for me to find out anyway. He supplied me those information himself without realizing it.
1. The name Ash... He made the mistake of calling my mate Ash but when I asked him about it to further confirm, he covered my question with another question until it was completely buried and I couldn't revive the question anymore.
2. He refused to tell me the gender of the person that used sorcery on me but I figured it out myself. I'm sure the person is female from when he angrily used the word 'bitch' to describe her.
The only female I know that can do that to me is Evelyn but I don't believe it's her. It doesn't make sense if it was her and they still decided to hide it from me. She already had a hand in the death of my mom and Eric's parents. I can't hate her any more than I already did if they tell me it was her and I certainly can't rush in to kill her, we already have our plans concerning her.
If it's not Evelyn then who could it be then?... It couldn't be my mate or could it?... No! No way! That couldn't be. Even though I don't know her that well yet, I can't think of any reason why a she-wolf would want to use sorcery on her mate. That also doesn't make sense.
Or could it be she did it because of jealousy? Could it be, she thought I have another woman in my heart and she decided to use sorcery to make me forget her?... Nah, it can't be that. Especially when I don't hold any woman in my heart. I've never been in love with any woman. All the women I've ever slept with in my life are back in Denmark and I never slept with one woman more than once– well except a particular vampire, Delilah.
Since I didn't make any headway with my thoughts, I decided to forget about the whole issue for now, especially when I also didn't wish to go bonkers. Maybe it's better I concentrate on getting better like he suggested since the matter is indeed complicated.
We resumed walking. After a while, I directed my gaze from looking ahead to him...
"I'm sorry man," I say. "I know quite well that I owe him an apology. Pretending I didn't break my promise simply because he's my friend won't do. "I promised I wouldn't go crazy but I did. I'm sorry. I don't want you to lose the trust you have in me."
"Instead of him telling me... 'It's okay. Apology accepted.' He looked somewhat shocked. Speechless. I thought he was surprised that I apologized, something I don't usually do. Before I can ask him about his expression, he exclaims in excitement...
"Oh my god, Thor! Your eyes!..."
"My eyes. What happened to them?" I ask. My hands immediately made their way up to feel around my eyes.
"Well, not the two, just one. Your left eye, it's back to normal" He says with a broad smile.
"Really? I ask in disbelief. I know he won't make a joke of something as sensitive as that but I still turn back to the others walking behind us
"Guys, my eyes are back to normal!?" I announce questioningly and the three of them hurry over to us."
"Wow..."
"Your left eye, this is great news..."
"How did this happen?..."
They all chatter in excitement.
"I don't know, it just happened. Right, Eric? He saw it first"
"Well, I know why it happened. I think it's because you apologized to me for the first time in your twenty-eight years on earth, Thor." He says and they all laugh
"God, you're such an idiot, and as for the apology, I take it back," I say, grinning in his face.
"I already accepted it. It can't be taken back..."
"Oh, I think that's Ella coming." Bear interrupts us, shielding his eyes as he tries to see what is behind the cloud of dust that's coming towards us."
Yeah, it's her alright" Ivar says, his face almost splitting into two with how bright his smile is. Soon Ella parks Ivar's Wrangler Jeep right beside us and jumps out. Immediately walking towards where Eric and are standing
"Alpha. Beta..." She greets with a slight bow. "Sorry, I'm late. I had to first gather all of your clothes. I can't let you all come back to the mansion looking tattered..."
"It's okay, don't sweat it," I replied to her. I removed just my shirt before shifting but it was obvious the others didn't, with what was left of their clothes hanging tattered on their bodies.
"Oh my god, Alpha. Your eyes. One of them is back to normal" Ella says in astonishment. "What happened? How did it happen so fast?"
"Oh, it was because he apologized to me for the first time in his life. Isn't that wonderful?" Eric says again to Ella
"Idiot..." I say. Laughing as I walk toward the car to get my clothes. "I'm gonna get dressed."
"Oh, yes," Ella says hurriedly after me "Here let me get that for you. I already had them labeled so I'll be able to easily tell them apart." She opened the back seat and reached for the bag she kept in there.
After she has handed every one of us our clothes she turns to Eric...
"Beta, I'm sorry sir. Uhmm, your phone was ringing non-stop, so I had no other choice than to answer it."
"You answered my phone all the time, Ella, no biggie. What's the message?" Eric asks from inside the shirt he already had over his head.
I looked up when I didn't hear her reply immediately and saw her hesitation. She look in my direction and quickly averts her eyes when our eyes meet. It's obvious she doesn't want to answer his question in my presence.
"Well, are you going to answer my question today? Eric asks again as he busies himself, removing the tattered remains of his jeans. He didn't notice her discomfort.
"Well, won't you answer him already?" I say firmly. I know she's holding up because she doesn't want me to hear whatever she wants to tell him.
"Yes sir... Uhmm. The person that called said to tell you, your girl has caused a lot of problems for them at her– uhmm– her hostel."
I look from Ella's face to Eric's body that immediately tense up upon hearing Ella's message
"Your girl? What girl?" I asked
