We're all looking at each other, we can't believe that Samantha instantly vanished in front of us. Thomas walked near me, and his face was so severe that he would announce unfortunate events.
“Beta Thomas, what does Samantha mean? She said you know who we need to find.”
“We need to find a man named Favio, he's the key that we need to make Alpha Brandon freed from Samantha's hands.” My forehead ceased because I thought there were a lot of people named Favio. How is it possible that we might locate that man?
“Thomas, there's a lot of men who had a name like that! It looks like it's too difficult to find that man, we don't even know his face.” Almera says, she glances at me like she was waiting for my reaction. My lips turn into a line because I know that Samantha was aware that I will do everything to find the man that she was talking about.
“I agreed to Almera, there's a lot of men who had a name like that. I want to know if there is anything else that Alpha Brandon told you.” I asked Beta Thomas again, he paused and then shook his head.
“I was sleeping that time with my mate when I heard Alpha Brandon's mind link. And, that's what I heard.”
“Wait, you said that he was using a mind link? What about now? Can you still reach Alpha Brandon using it?”
“I tried to reach Alpha Brandon but he didn't respond. I think there's a barrier that prevents me from connecting with him.”
“Y-Yeah, I remembered there's a barrier, and it looks so powerful. Maybe, Alpha Brandon talked with you before the mansion disappeared.” Kairo went to Beta Thomas's side when he told us about the barrier. I hope Adam was here when Samantha appeared in front of us. He will have a chance to find who Samantha wants.
“Where is Adam?” I inquired Karen, she immediately panicked like her mind wasn't with us from the very start. “You seem distracted, what the matter Karen?” I added, and I think she was talking with someone using a mind link.
“I'm sorry, Alpha. My mate keeps distracting me that he was waiting for me on our bed.” I can't believe that Karen would be like this because of her mate. What I think was that Almera was the only one who will act like this, but now, Karen too.
“Okay, it seems Adam was too excited to see you. Please tell him that I want to see him in ten minutes.” Karen quickly obeyed me, so I looked at the clock, not at me, but also at Almera who was wishing that Adam would be late so I could punish him.
“Alpha Leah, I can ask our members to find Favio for us.” Beta Thomas's face was full of worries for his Alpha, and I am glad that he was faithful to his Alpha.
“You don't need to do that. You all need the members in your pack, what will happen if one of your enemies took this as an advantage to snatch the land?” Beta Thomas nodded, for sure he realized that I was right. I know what a greedy pack can do to have the most powerful pack.
“What about you, should you assign someone to investigate Samantha? I need her details so we can have a chance to find Favio fast.”
“Please don't mind me asking, I want to ask how you think that Favio was connected to Samantha's personal details?”
I shrugged my shoulders, and I am thinking about how Samantha got caged in the mansion. And how she went here in my pack if she can't leave her mansion for so long.
“Because, I'm still thinking about how Samantha had a curse, and for sure this man named Favio was the man that she needed. The question was, is the man still alive? It seems years since Samantha was stuck in the mansion.”
“But she looks so young, I don't even think that she's older than us. She looks too young.” Beta Thomas complimented, he's right! I can't believe that Samantha will go here and know that she wants to free Alpha Brandon but she can't.
I looked at the door and I saw my cousin gasping when he stopped in front of the door. Before he went toward me, he kissed Karen in front of us which made Karen's face flush in embarrassment.
I was watching them, and I saw Almera act like she was ready to puke which made me hope to grab her hair. She loves teasing Karen, and she knows that Karen was shy from her mates.
“I want to talk with Adam. Almera, please prepare the room for Beta Thomas so he can rest as long as Alpha Brandon isn't around.” Beta Thomas laughed at what I was saying, I always heard that Alpha Brandon was acting childish and dominant to all of his close friends, especially Thomas.
When Adam and I were the only two in my office, I cleared my throat. I don't want him to think that I'll be taking advantage of him, he's my cousin, he's the only one who can help me find Favio.
“You see Samantha, right? And she gives you a deadline to find someone.” I glared at him when he tried to look for what happened.
“You want to use my ability to find Favio, am I right?” I slowly nodded and I was secretly wishing that my cousin won't think that I'll take advantage of him.
“Okay, then, but are you sure that you want to help me?”
“You're too worried for Alpha Brandon and I don't want to mess up your plans. It's alright if I need to use my ability.”
“I won't even think twice about that. You're my cousin so I know that blood is thicker than water.”
“You're right and I am thankful that I saw you.”
