“When you see me right now, you eventually know what Samantha looks like.” Adam nodded at me, and he moved closer to me. His forehead ceased when he was staring at me, and I saw his face turn furious. I don't even know the reason why he was acting like that.
“No, this isn't true. Amoux choked you! How dare he do that to you!” Adam roared and I saw his eyes glow in green, it felt amazing that his eyes were glowing.
“After you tried everything for him. I don't want to see him, Leah! I swear once I see his freaking face, I will kill him.” he added.
“Calm down, Adam. I'm alright, and it's my fault that he reacted in that way.”
“It's not your fault, Leah. Their family was a known murderer of our kind. They're all greedy when it comes to power, you're just stating a fact so he doesn't need to get angry with you!” I cleared my throat when I felt uncomfortable that Adam saw everything when he was looking at my face. I was ashamed that maybe he knows that I was fucking with Amoux even though Amoux's announced that he was destined for Anaya.
“Adam, will you please stop using your ability on me? It makes me feel uncomfortable that you'll see the deepest secrets that I ever hide.” I told him, which made him laugh at me as if I was kidding.
“I'm sorry but I can't. My ability was automatic, once I saw your face, the images of your past, or even your secret will instantly appear. I can't stop using my ability.” Adam reasoned out. I glared at him, I can't believe whatever he says. I think he can stop it when it comes to me but he loves to know my past.
“Then, maybe I should pluck out your eyes so you should stop seeing my hidden secrets, right?” Adam's eyes widened in disbelief when I was slowly walking toward him. He stepped back as if he was scared that I might remove his eyes.
“Leah, you're my cousin. You don't need to do that, okay? I will immediately stop using my ability for you.”
“Hmm. But, you told me that you can't do that, or maybe, you lied to me.” I acted like I was serious, and took the small knife that I almost hid in my waist. I saw the fear plastered on his face, and I showed my little knife to him.
Adam slowly swallowed when he peeked at the knife that I was holding. I smirked at him.
“Adam, you can see my past but you don't know what I was going to do, right? So it means you aren't aware that I am planning to prevent you from seeing my past.”
“Argh! Don't you dare, Leah! Okay, I promised that I will stop using my ability for you. I will give you some privacy so you don't need to do that.” I nodded then laughed at him.
“That's the weakness of your ability. When I use my healing ability, my life span will be reduced. So I could die if I always used this.”
“I know, that's why you don't need to do that, okay? Even if it is Amoux, do you understand me?”
“But, if Amoux died, I would be miserable.”
“Why don't you reject him? You don't need him anymore, and Alpha Brandon was the best for you.”
“I wish I could do that, Adam. Amoux was the man that I hoped for. I never thought that he had this kind of attitude, although he was too boastful when I first met him.”
“Leah, I know you are aware that once you choose to be with Amoux. All of the healers will do everything to kill you. It's a sin, that you'll end up with the one of families of those murderers.”
“Adam, nobody's perfect in this world. Even though I'm not perfect. I am a bad person.”
“No, I think you aren't bad, Leah. You think because you keep blaming yourself for the three Alphas' death.”
“Yeah, I am the reason why they died. If I only knew that Amoux would kill them, I will—”
“It's their destiny, Leah. And you're destined to be the Alpha of this pack.”
My heart slowly melted that I finally had someone who could comfort me, except for my friends, and Alpha Brandon. After my parents died, I thought I'll gonna be alone forever.
The Nightwalker might adopt me because of Richelle, but they didn't treat me as their family. And I am happy that the Red Moon Pack gives me a lot of family members.
“You don't need to blame yourself because I am sure that those Alphas who died for you were happy for you right now,” Adam added, which makes me giggle.
“Okay, okay! I'm happy now. You don't need to sugarcoat everything, Adam.” He shook his head as if he couldn't believe that after he told me good words I didn't believe in him in the end.
After Adam and I talked about our plans to find Favio, I immediately called Almera to ask for her help. Adam and I will leave in the pack to find Samantha's man, and I need Almera to stay here in the pack to prevent those enemies from attacking us.
“Wait, are you sure that you don't need me?” Almera can't believe that I want her in the pack. She was the one who was always with me whenever I needed to find someone.
I nodded at her and she touched her chest and her mouth hung open.
“Alpha Leah, it's alright for me if you let me with you? I don't want to get worried for you!”
“You don't need to do that, Almera. I want you to stay here because after what happened to me with Amoux, I had this feeling that he might be rushing here in our pack.”
“Wait, why are you thinking that way? Don't you think that your mate can do that?” I nodded at her again, so she automatically understood why I have a distrust for Amoux.
“Okay, you don't need to worry about everything. I will handle this pack because you're part of my family.”
After one day, Adam and I started to search for a man who's name was Favio. And we both know that this won't be an easy task for either of us. I was gasping after Adam and I went to a different pack.
“I thought it's gonna be easy for us, but I was wrong,” Adam muttered, taking a towel to wipe his sweat. I looked at the tree in front of us.
“I think so too. I don't want to lose hope. Alpha Brandon needs me.”
“Of course, we will do everything to find someone named Favio. For now, we should rest so we can have the energy to use starting tomorrow.”
“I can't believe that Samantha didn't even give us a picture, or maybe a hint about him.”
“Maybe she doesn't have one. So, that's why you're here with me. Once you look at the person who had his name too, we can find him.”
“Wait, but what about if Favio can't remember Samantha? Can you still find him even though he didn't remember her?” Adam was caught off guard by my question.
“I don't know, Leah. I don't even experience that but, this will be more difficult if Favio didn't remember everything that he needs to recall.” We both looked at each other and we both sighed in frustration.
Shit! This can't be happening. I don't even know that this will be more stressful than the papers in the office that I need to sign.
“I wish that Favio would still remember her.” Adam's face was full of hope.
Alpha Brandon, wait for me. I will find Favio for you. I promised you that.
