After we took a rest, we started to find someone who had been named Favio. I hope that we can find him before the date that Samantha set for us. I was drinking water when I saw the man that I talked to about Samantha. He was carrying a lot of wood on his back, and he was serious while carrying it.
‘Leah, I think you should ask him about the man that we need to find.’
I was stunned when I heard my wolf talk to me. I closed my eyes when I felt my eyes moist because of her. It's been what? I forgot the date that she last spoke to me.
‘I never thought that you would talk to me.’
‘You're the one who didn't even talk to me, girl!’
I rolled my eyes when she defended herself so fast. I smirked, that she was defensive.
‘Okay, we need to find this man to get Alpha Brandon. So, there's a part of me that you should talk to that man.’
‘Give me a valid reason to trust you, my wolf?’
‘We're one, Leah. If you didn't trust me, then you didn't trust yourself either.’
‘I trust myself—’
‘So, it means you trusted me too. Stop denying it, I can sense you because we're one body.’ I even imagined that she was rolling her eyes at me. I can't believe that a wolf can roll her eyes.
‘Come on, you should do it fast, or else, he won't come back here.’
I glanced at Adam who was sleeping on the tree, I quickly kicked his feet, and he groaned in frustration. He glared at me, so I pointed to the man who was carrying a wood.
Adam and I decided to do a blood compact so we can communicate with each other whenever we need to. I heard Adam utter profanities while using the mind link so I shoved his feet again and looked at him using my murderous eyes.
Did he forget that I am still his Alpha? I should punish him, and I will make sure that I will order Karen to stop sleeping with him. How dare he do this to me?
‘I need your ability. I will talk to this man, and he knows a lot about Samantha.’ I informed him while using the mind link.
Adam glanced at the man, and he nodded immediately. I quickly walked toward the man, and I acted like I was helping him get wood.
“Oh, you're the Alpha of the Red Moon Pack, right?” he asked me, so I averted my eyes from him.
“Y-Yeah, is it alright if I ask you about Samantha, again?” The man's forehead furrowed as if he was wondering why I am curious about Samantha.
“Well, it's alright for me. But, I need to work first. I need to find a lot of dry wood so I can cook.”
“Then, I can help you if you want.”
“You're an Alpha, so you don't need to do this.”
“I am an Alpha, but I was helping my members too. Oh, how did you enter my pack? It looks like you aren't my pack members.” The man peeked at me, he had light brown eyes which gave comfort whenever he looked at me. His thin pinkish lips were too good in my eyes. His hair was a little bit curly, and it was brown too.
“I'm sorry if I did that. At first, I wasn't aware that you're the Alpha of the pack. When you caught me talking to the other man, he was my brother. And we're in your pack because we need some food to eat.”
“I'm sorry to hear that. And don't worry it's alright for me. Frankly speaking, I understand. I was in your shoes too. I experience how to get famished when my parents die.”
“And then, you're lucky. I wish I could be like you.”
“If you want, I can let you enter my pack so you can eat there without fear. And if you want a pack, my pack will welcome you.” Adam was walking toward me but his eyes turned shut, and when I saw his eyes open, I saw his green eyes glow again.
“Are you about that? I will take your words seriously.” I laughed at him, and I stopped when I saw him smile.
“I am serious, my pack wasn't selfish, and we loved to help others who are in need.”
“Okay, and I am thankful for that. But what are you asking me about Samantha?”
“I'm just wondering why you know so much about her. She seems doesn't like to communicate with others.” He shrugged his shoulders, and then the corner of his lips rose.
“I don't even know why I know a lot about her. Okay, Samantha took my father because she wanted to conceive a child.” I nodded slowly, and I found it confusing that Smanatha wanted to have a child with others and now she wanted us to find Favio. I think there was something wrong with the information.
“Okay, how did you know about it?”
“I was young when Samantha did that with a different man. I thought that was not even true but when she took my father, all I wanted was to kill her using my hands.”
“Okay, so it means Samantha was like a vampire? She had a long life.” The man nodded, and then resumed collecting the wood that he needed.
‘Leah, I can't find anything towards this man.’ I scowled when I heard Adam talk to me. How is it even possible that this man can't even remember anything?
‘What are you talking about? Did you discover how he lost his memories?’
‘Yeah, the last memory that he remembered was when he woke up with a man in front of him. This man keeps telling him about Samantha, that he needs to be angry with Samantha—” Adam stopped and our eyes widened, it looks like we were thinking the same about this guy.
Is it possible that this man was Favio? But what does the man do to make him forget about Samantha?
“What's your name? I don't even know your name.”
“My name is Fabian.”
