“Almera, what are you doing? I told you that I am fine, and you don't need to worry about me.” I shouted when Almera was starting to get me checked by the pack's doctor. She insisted that I'm not fully recovered so she won't let me come to Samantha's house.
“I want to make sure that you're alright. As one of your Beta, I need to ensure that you're safe. I still don't know why you always collapsed and were rushed here in this hospital. Tell me, are you trying to hide that you're ill?” Almera glared at me and she didn't avoid her eyes as if she was trying to interrogate me.
Karen sighed at the corner, she moved towards us and pushed Almera gently.
“Almera, we know that you worry about Alpha Leah. But, I think we need to go to Samantha's mansion.” Karen's face was severe, and when I looked at her, my eyes expanded when I heard the beating of her heart. She was anxious as if something bad might happen to her mate.
“What are you thinking, Karen? You looked worried. What happened to them?” Karen's drastic face turned to panic. She was surprised that I learned what she had felt.
“W-What are you thinking, Alpha Leah? I don't even know anything.”
“Are you telling me the truth, Karen? I'm asking you as your Alpha, why are you too worried? Did Adam mind linking with you?”
“I think we should go here quickly. I lost track of Adam, he didn't even talk to me after he informed me that they were too near to Samantha's mansion.”
“What are you talking about? What did you mean that you failed to connect with him again!” Karen jerked when I used my Alpha tone toward her. I was panting too fast, and I felt that my wolf was angry about what we found out.
“Call our soldiers. We need to go here too fast.” I commanded which they immediately obeyed. I went out to the pack house and got the herbal leaves that I needed. I boiled everything at the same time and after that, I waited for it to get warm before I drank it.
My face turned sour when I savored the weird taste of those herbal leaves. I heard footsteps coming from me, but I didn't even look back.
“Alpha Leah,” Almera called me. I saw the soldiers that we trained for the upcoming battle. They were all well-prepared, and I'm proud of Almera that she successfully handled their training.
“Let's go,” I said but Almera grabbed my hand. Karen was staring at us and she was waiting for Almera to continue what she was about to say.
“Alpha Leah, you're the one that we need to protect. So I want to remind you that you need to take care of yourself too.” I blinked and breathed out before I nodded to her.
“I understand. Don't worry about me, I will be fine.”
“The three packs need you. You're the Alpha and our Luna. You told us that you treated us like your family, and we're doing this because we treated you too as our leader.” Almera's words make my heart flutter. I didn't even know that I would experience this, I am an Omega, but when I went to the Red Moon Pack I discovered that I was in the Beta line.
“Almera, you should stop worrying about Alpha Leah. She knew what she was gonna do. She won't be called an Alpha if she can't fight for her life.” Karen butted in. Almera rolled her eyes before she faced Karen.
“I know that, I just want—”
“We understand, Almera. You don't need to explain, okay? We knew that you were scared that something bad might happen to Leah.” Karen didn't let Almera finish her words, she immediately cut it.
“You should trust her,” Karen added before she started walking away from our position.
We decided to use our wolf form so we could get there so fast. We needed to reach Samantha's house because I felt that there was a problem there. Adam wasn't the one, who didn't let anyone update his actions
We ran for almost twenty minutes but I stopped when I smelled blood in the area. Shit! Are we late?
“Adam!” I shouted using the mind link. I looked at my companions and shook my head so they would know what they were going to do next.
Almera's eyes were fearful, she was scared that something bad had happened to her mate. I heard the beating of her heart, and it was too fast. Almera was trying to calm herself even though she wanted to locate her mate.
“Inform me if you find them,” I ordered. Almera and Karen were starting to search for their mate, and I was walking towards the mansion. How has this mansion appeared until now?
“Adam, where are you? Don't you dare die or else, I will kick your ball and hang it on the trees!” I heard someone groan so loudly, so I immediately searched for who it was. I ran towards Adam, he was bleeding.
“How dare you threaten me like that? My balls were mine, damn it!” If Adam wasn't in a serious state, I might have laughed at him so loud. When we started to find Favio, he opened up to me that he wants to have a child with Karen.
“Idiot. Your balls are useless if you die.” I touched the part of his wounds and Adam moaned in pain.
“What happened?” I asked him. Adam glared at me, and he panted as if he's gonna die soon. I closed my eyes, and I was about to heal him when he removed my hands from his wounds.
“Don't you dare use your healing ability on me, Leah? I don't want you to die so soon.”
Adam had forgotten that I was stubborn since I was born in this world. I positioned my hands on his wounds, he tried to push me. And I noticed tears flowing down his cheeks.
“You don't need to worry about me, Adam. I won't leave you no matter what.” I whispered, and I felt an energy coming out of my body. I saw a light coming to Adam, and I felt my body get weakened.
It's just a wound, so I don't need to worry. I think that I might have passed out. Adam closed his eyes, he stopped restraining me for what I was about to do.
“I want you to be alive, Adam. If I might die, I will make you the Alpha of the three packs.”
“Shut up, it's not funny.”
I stood up when I'm done, and Adam stood up too. And he started jumping like a child.
“I feel you even gave me your energy. How is that possible?”
“Instead of asking me about it, you should start to mindlink your mate. She's furious that she couldn't even reach you. I told her that maybe you had other girls.” Adam's eyes widened in disbelief, and he glance at me using his murderous eyes.
“You're lucky that you got a very talented mate, Adam. And I knew that she was ready to cut your balls in half.” I smirked when I saw him panicking.
“It's not funny, Leah. You're always tripping me.” I gave him my faint smile. I hope that Adam would be happy with his mate even though I wasn't with him anymore.
I decided to leave Adam, and I asked him to search for Kairo. I knew that Almera was too nervous about her mat situation. After that, I walked into the big mansion, I heard a loud bang.
I took the potion that I always kept and sprayed it on me. I read the arrow, and put poison on the tip of the arrow. I turned around when I heard a loud shout from the man, and I'm sure that it wasn't Alpha Brandon's voice, or Fabian's either.
“Did you think that I will let you be happy with this poor man, Samantha?” I saw a young man choke Fabian. He held Fabian's neck so right that even Samantha didn't react in fear.
“If I can't get you, he can't get you too. You're mine! I did everything for you, and I even taught you how to use spells! And all of my efforts turn into waste when you fall in love with him.” The man's eyes turned gold, and he was glaring at Samantha. Alpha Brandon was clenching his teeth in madness. It feels like he wanted to kill the man in front of him but he didn't have a choice but to act weak.
“And the worst part, you even let yourself get pregnant by this bastard. I was the one you needed to marry, I am your future husband.” The man added. I almost stopped breathing because I was scared that the man would notice me.
Alpha Brandon's mouth hung open when he saw me, I shook my head to make him stop calling my name. I took the two arrows, and I prepared the bow.
“It's not my fault, Keer. It's not my fault that I fell to someone else. I don't even tell you that —-”
“You didn't tell me but your actions did. I thought you loved Samantha.”
“It is my mother, who wants me to marry you. But I don't want it even if I don't meet Favio.” The man named Keer shook his head. It looks like he couldn't believe what Samantha had told him.
“You're lying! It's your fault that I did this to you.” Keer screamed out of his lungs. He moved his hands, and Favio was starting to float in the air.
“Favio!” Samantha shouted. She pointed her hand to Favio, and there was red energy in him but Keer was too persistent.
I prepared the bow and pointed it at Keer. I need to do this perfectly so I gave my full force to the arrows to make the arrows go to Keer so fast.
“Ahh—” Keet shouted, and I hid again. I heard a commission, and I knew that I hit Keer's shoulders. I groaned in frustration because I was targeting his heart but when he moved, the arrows stabbed his shoulders.
“Damn it, who are you? If I find you I will skin you alive.”
“Ahh— Favio!” I grabbed another two arrows again, and I jumped into the staircase and hit Keer again. He shouted in pain, and there was a shock on his face.
“You bitch!” He turned his gaze at me, and I ran towards him while holding the spears in my hands. I looked at Alpha Brandon so he immediately pushed Keer, and Favio went down to the ground.
Keer dodged the spear that I used to stab him. He smirked at me.
“Did you think that you could kill me using those useless arrows? I am the most powerful witch, and you're humiliating me if you think that I am weak, and if you use this, Alpha Leah.” I pushed the spears to the same place in his heart.
“You're a healer, but how can you make a poisonous herb? I can smell it.” I gritted my teeth in so much frustration. Keer laughed so loud.
“I don't have any plans to kill you, Mr. He is.” Alpha Brandon took the four arrows on the floor and stabbed them in Keer's heart. I saw blood coming out of his mouth.
“You freaking bitch! I wished that I had killed you since you were young.” I stopped after I heard what he said. He smirked at me.
“If I die, you won't know the disease that you wanted to know,” Keer mumbled, so I took another arrow to jab him.
“I don't care if you knew about it. It's just a disease!” Keer chuckled, and his eyes had tears.
“Did you think that the disease wasn't inside of your body? You can't even detect your own body, I know you're gonna die soon.”
“Ahh—” I shouted, and I stabbed the arrows so many times at him. I was nervous about what he said. Does it mean that the disease was inside my body without me noticing it, but how? How did they give me a disease?
Fuck, I need to find this sooner. I don't want to die.
