Leah's point of view
My body was shaking after I found out what Alpha Brandon did for me, for Amoux. I was staring at Amoux who was half awake. I tried to be happy that he was with me but I don't know why I can't. My wolf was grieving that Alpha Brandon wasn't with us, and that confused me.
She keeps howling like she lost her mate, even though our mate was here in front of us. I bit my lip to prevent myself from crying.
“L-Leah,” Amoux muttered my name, so I immediately went to him. Damon was beside me but he wasn't glad either.
“Amoux,” I called his name. I was waiting for him to respond but he didn't. I turned my glance at Damon who was staring out the window.
“Damon, you need to go home with Amoux. I don't want to cause trouble, you know what the Lycan can do once he discovers that you two are here.”
“But, what about Amoux? I know he wants to stay here with you.”
“He likes to, but I didn't like the idea that he would be here. You finally had Amoux, I want you two to leave my pack.”
“Leah, why are you being like this? Amoux is your mate, and he will fully recover if you're always by your side. That's how the mate thing works!”
“And, then I am willing to use my healing ability for him to make him heal faster.”
“Leah, you don't need to do that! If you use your healing ability, your life span will be reduced.”
“I don't care, I just want you two to go away in my pack. The Nightwalkers and the three packs were enemies.”
“Are you treating me as your enemy, too? I thought –”
“You're the exception, of course,” Damon grunted as if he was stopping himself from getting angry by my actions, but I can't help it. I don't want them to see in my pack anymore. I need to save Alpha Brandon, I want to see him immediately, or else, I will be crazy!
“Leah, why are you acting like this? Are you so eager to save Alpha Brandon that you aren't thinking about your mate anymore?”
“If I wasn't thinking about Amoux's situation, I won't ask Alpha Brandon to help us. Alpha Brandon needs me, I don't want him to get stuck in that freaking mansion.”
“Really? You don't want him to stay there forever, or are you frightened that he might fall for Samantha?” I stopped after I heard what Damon said, his breathing became heavy. Damon started walking towards him, and I saw that he was trying to calm himself. He's right! I don't want to see Alpha Brandon slowly falling to Samantha.
He's the only man that I ever had, I know that if I'm with Amoux everything will be a mess. Am I selfish? Am I selfish that I want him exclusively for me?
“Leah, don't treat my cousin like this. He finally realized your worth, he loves you, and I know he had a feeling for you. Please don't hurt him.” Damon was pleading with me, and that makes me more frustrated.
“Then, what about me Damon? You know that Lycan doesn't like me to be his daughter-in-law.”
“Amoux was too ready to fight for you. All you need to do is to accept him, you should get two marks from each other. It is okay if it's today!”
“You know that Alpha Brandon sacrificed himself for Amoux's sake, and you're suggesting that we should mark each other today! I don't even know that you aren't grateful, I lost my friend! I lost him because I tried to help you two!”
“You're overreacting Leah!” I glared at Damon but we both stopped when we heard Amoux groaning, his eyes slowly opened so I sighed to calm myself.
I don't want to blame them, but I can't help it. I was blaming myself that I was the one who asked for Alpha Brandon's help. I am, it's my fault. And my heart was slowly breaking at that realization. I am a selfish bitch!
“L-Leah…” My face became stern when I heard Amous uttering my name again. Damon and I looked at each other and I saw the sadness in his eyes. He doesn't want Amoux to experience how it feels hurt, and I thought he was my friend but maybe it's true that blood is thicker than water.
“I thought you were my friend, Damon. But it looks like you aren't my friend, from the very start you use me as the bait to make Amoux mad, right?”
“Leah, from the very start that's my plan but it changed because I got a chance to know you well. Please don't doubt my feelings for you!” Damon whispered as if he was scared that Amoux might hear us.
“Leah…” Amoux opened his eyes, and he immediately sat on the bed. He was massaging his head, and he was surprised when he saw me. Damon quickly went to him, he checked Amoux if he was alright but Amoux was staring at me. He didn't mind about his cousin, he was too focused on me.
Does he want to talk with me? If yes, I wasn't in the mood to chit-chat with him. All I wanted was to save Alpha Brandon in that freaking mansion.
“Leah, I thought…” Amoux didn't even know what he was about to say, he looked confused about what was happening in his surroundings.
“Amoux, you aren't in Samantha's mansion anymore. You're here at the Red Moon Pack.”
“But— how? I don't even know that I wasn't there anymore.” Damon peeked at me, and it looks like he wants me to explain Amoux for everything. But why me? I don't even understand it.
“Your family was searching for you for almost two weeks. Damon told me that you are missing.” I coldly informed him, Amoux gradually swallowed, but he won't remove his eyes from me.
“You tried to search for me, right?” I nodded, but I didn't talk too much. I don't think I need to tell him everything, the most important thing is that he can finally go back to his home.
“Do you mean that you went inside the mansion? But, what about Samantha? Did she ever let you enter her mansion?”
“No, I wasn't. Amoux, I think it's better if Damon will explain everything to you. I still need a lot to do.”
“W-What? Leah, I was in danger for two weeks, and you aren't bothered that I might die that day!”
“But you look fine, Amoux. You're still alive and can kick someone's ass, why do I need to worry about you?”
“You're unbelievable! Your mate was in danger, I mean someone kidnapped me but you're acting like this now. Aren't you happy to see that I am still alive?”
“I am happy.” I don't understand myself, and I don't understand why Amoux was acting like this!
“You don't look happy at all. Maybe, you will be happy if you find me dead.”
I gulped and tried to look down to stop myself from getting mad at him. What was he waiting for me to do? Do I need to bake a cake to celebrate that he was safe? Do I need to hire someone to cook for him?
“Amoux, you don't need to act like this. Leah didn't feel good at all.” Damon tried to coax his cousin, but Amoux didn't even listen to him.
I need to shift, I need to reduce the anger that I was feeling today. I was about to walk out of the room when Amoux called my name. His face was full of hurt, and he was about to cry.
“L-Leah, did I ever do something wrong again?” He whimpered, and what confused me the most was that I didn't even feel pity for him.
“You didn't do anything that I don't like. It's me, I am the problem here.” I said, then avoided eye contact with him.
“N-No, maybe I did wrong again, that's why you aren't happy to see me at all.”
“Are you aware who saved you in the mansion?” I shook my head when Damon was trying to tell me that I should stop. Amoux glanced at his cousin, and he caught him and widened his eyes at me.
“I was unconscious, so I don't know who it is. Don't tell me that it's not Damon.”
“What do you think?”
“I think it's Damon who saved me inside that mansion. If it's not, tell me who saved me. I want to know about him, I should thank him.”
“It's Alpha Brandon. He's the one who saved you. Samantha didn't like Damon at all, maybe she had standards when it comes to men.”
“LEAH!” Damon roared when he realized how sarcastic I am. I laughed at him, and served him right!
“I thought Damon was too attractive when it comes to women but he wasn't. Samantha didn't want him,” I smirked at Damon when he groaned again. And I feel delighted that I was stepping on his ego!
Amoux was shocked when he found out that it was Alpha Brandon who saved him. I saw his face and wasn't delighted that it was Alpha Brandon.
“And now I fully understand why you're acting like this. Because Alpha Brandon was in the mansion, right?” Amoux's voice cracked like he was hurt by my actions.
“Did I tell you that? Amoux, you and Damon were blood-related. You both assumed everything.”
“But, I was more attractive to Damon. Samantha even kidnapped me, right? But Damon—”
“You, traitor! I am your cousin but you are helping her to stomp on my pride!” Damon shouted, his face reddened in embarrassment.
“You're both idiots. That's all.” I rolled my eyes at them, and they were both astonished by what I called them. I think that the Nightwalker might fall if Amoux and Damon managed it, and I felt pity for their pack members.
“I don't want the Lycan to rush towards here in my pack. You both can leave us now!” I didn't wait for them to react so I immediately went out into the room that Amous was using. I went to my office, and I informed Almera to search for how we will save Alpha Brandon in that mansion.
I saw the two big books on the table, and I took Richelle's book. I took a pin and then used it on my finger. When I saw my finger had small blood, I touched the book and its glow.
Why did Richelle and Lycan Hector not mark each other? I want to know the reason but I don't think that it's written inside this book.
I spent so long in Richelle's book that I don't even dare to glance at the clock. I was shocked that Richelle found out that Richelle pushed Lycan Hector to marry Luna. But what surprised me was that Luna found her mate but she still pushed to marry Lycan.
I was amazed that Richelle and my father were best friends, that's maybe the reason that she adopted me.
I tried to check all of the pages, but what surprised me was when I saw the man's name.

Who's this man? I don't even know that Amoux had another cousin. I was about to read the information when I heard a loud knock on the door.
“ALPHA LEAH! Someone was looking for you!” I was startled when I heard Almera shouting at me, I even touched my chest because I thought that my heart was trying to jump in my ribcage.
I glance at the name that was written in Richelle's book. I sighed and was trying to relax.
“Bitch please, what are you doing? Thomas was here and he wanted to talk to you about Alpha Brandon.”
Shit! What happened? What happened to Alpha Brandon?
