“Okay, I will wait for him in my office.” Sometimes, I was hoping that I could grab Almera's hair. I heard a loud knock on the door again, and my face furrowed for why Beta Thomas didn't dare to open the door. So, I went towards the door, and I saw Amoux behind it.
Wait, I thought they'd already left my pack. Why is he still here? His handsome face was unhappy, and he was intently staring at me.
“What are you still doing here inside of my pack?” I don't want to act rude but I felt irritated whenever I saw him. I don't want to hurt him for how I treated him.
“I was waiting for you to come back into the room that I was using. I want to say to you that I'll be going home.”
“Okay,” I nodded, his face furrowed and he sighed like he was calming himself.
“Are you mad at me, Leah? I want to know why you are acting so cold toward me. Did I do something wrong aside from the fact that Alpha Brandon wasn't here anymore because of me?” I went out to my office and slightly closed the door. I looked at Amoux who looked nervous about what I was going to say.
“I wasn't mad at you. You're the victim here, right? I don't have any right to be mad at you… but I was mad at myself.” I answered him with all honesty, I think Amoux didn't deserve to be lied to. He didn't deserve to be treated like this, even though sometimes he was a jerk.
“No, it's my fault, Leah. You don't need to blame yourself. That time, I saw Luna walking towards the forest, and that's why I followed her.”
My forehead ceased after hearing his words. Luna?
“You know, I found out that my father didn't love my mother at all. I discovered that—”
“That he was mated with Richelle.” I cut what he was going to say. Amoux eyes widened in disbelief, and he looked at me like he was accusing me of something I don't even know.
“W-Wait, how did you know?” Amoux paused, and he was glancing at the floor. His breath becomes heavy, I understand his reactions because he thought that I knew everything but I didn't tell him.
“How did you know, too?”
“I learned from it after we went home the last time that we went here. Lycan talked to me, and then we had a conversation. He admitted that Richelle was his mate, but he accepted Luna as his mate because of my grandfather.”
“Oh, but I read it in Richelle's book, when you and Damon went home, too.”
“Okay,” Amoux hesitated when he gazed at me. He cleared his throat after he took a breath. His eyes weren't in focus like he was nervous, and he wanted to tell me. “That night when we got Richelle's book, I learned that Richelle died because of a disease. It's the disease that makes the healer die without knowing it.”
My face wrinkles when it feels like everything that he says is still loading inside of my brain. I shook my head and faked my laugh.
“Are you kidding me, Amoux? This isn't a good joke. Richelle is dead, and I know that she's happy now.”
“I wish that everything that I heard was a joke. It hurts when I know it, accidentally.”
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN THAT SHE DIED BECAUSE OF THE FUCKING DISEASE!” I shouted out of my lungs and I felt my wolf roaring after what we found out.
Richelle did everything for us, she treated me like her child, like her own blood, except for the fact that I am the daughter of her best friend. No, this isn't true, it means someone murdered her, someone did it to her because she's a healer!
“Leah, you should calm down. That's what I heard, and I know that Richelle was too important for you that's why I'm telling you this.”
“Then, who killed her using that disease? TELL ME AMOUX!!!”
Amoux stares in different directions. His jaw was clenching, and he closed his eyes. I saw the sadness in his eyes, and it seems that he was hurt deep inside his heart.
“Please, don't ask me, Leah,” He whispered sadly, which made me crumple.
“ARE YOU KIDDING ME?” I can't stop myself from being sarcastic when he said that. “Amoux, you told me that Richelle died because of that disease, and yet you don't want to tell me who killed her?”
“Then, why are you telling me this if you don't want to----”
“Because I am still hurt, Leah! You don't know what I feel after I discovered that, Leah, this isn't too easy for me!” Amoux shouted, he shut his eyes like he was in deep hurt.
I quickly hid my emotions after I heeded his reason. He always did this, he always chose to hide everything instead to give justice or do what was right!
“You're telling me that the killer who murdered Richelle was part of your family. Amoux that news wasn't too new for me, because your bloodline was the one who likes to slaughter our kind! Because you are all selfish when it comes to power! You are all selfish that you all forget that we're werewolves too and we have the right to enjoy staying here in this world. And because of your family, we are all scared that someone might find out our ability!”
“Leah, don't you dare talk to my family like that! They will be your future family too, you are my mate!”
“I don't want to be with those murderers, and you are like them. You're a selfish bastard I knew and I was dumb to wish that I want you to be my mate. If I knew this from the very start, I would rather stab you in your back so that your family will experience how it feels to be lost, someone!”
Amoux roared so loudly, and he quickly strangled my neck which made it difficult for me to breathe.
“HOW DARE YOU, LEAH! I am the successor of the Lycan King, and you're just a lucky woman who gets the chance to be the Alpha of the three packs!” Amoux's eyes reddened in anger, and he choked me so tight.
I hold his hands but I don't even dare to restrain myself from his hands, if I die, I know that he will be miserable and I will do everything to make him feel miserable, and that includes his family.
“AMOUX!” Damon shouted, he rushed toward us, and tried to stop Amoux from choking me. I groaned when I felt that I would lose consciousness. My three Betas widened their eyes, and they quickly tried to attack Amoux but Amoux stopped choking me.
I fell on the floor, and I was gasping like I was running for my life. I glared at Amoux and I saw the regret plastered on his face.
“L-Leah, I'm sorry, I—” Almera went to my front, and I knew that she was stopping herself from punching Amoux's face.
“Eat your apologies, Amoux. I don't want to hear it from you. I want you to get out of my pack!”
“Leah please, I was—”
“I can't believe that you choke your mate, Sergio,” Almera says but her voice was stern. After that, I heard many footsteps coming from us. I saw a lot of my members who were ready to attack them.
“Leah,” Damon called me. He looks disappointed in what his cousin did to me. “We will go home, you don't need to do this,” he says to Almera.
“I need to do this because your cousin killed the three Alpha of this pack and now he is trying to kill Leah! If I were you, I would teach him how to respect someone, especially to his mate. This is why I don't want him for Leah, Alpha Brandon was much better than this murderer!”
“Shut up bitch, You don't even know anything so shut your freaking mouth!” Amoux yelled at Almera which made me even angrier. How dare he shouts at my Beta?
“Leave now, Amoux. Don't test my patience.” Amoux glanced at me and he couldn't believe that I was kicking him out of my pack. We made eye contact for so long before he glared at me too.
“Let's go, Amoux. I don't want to cause trouble here.” Damon whispered before he pulled Amoux with force. Amoux didn't break our eye contact even though Damon was pulling him, his jaw was clenching and he was mad that I was kicking him out.
“Follow them, I don't want them to enter this pack. Double-check each boundary.” I used my Alpha tone, so the members immediately followed them. I gently touched my neck when I felt it hurts when I swallowed.
“I can't believe that he did that to you! Kairo didn't even do that to me, well he did that when he was fucking me!” I massaged my head when I heard Almera's words. Karen's face turned sour, while Kairo's eyes broadened at how frankly his mate was.
“Almera, you're the disgusting woman I knew!” Karen mocked.
“Karen, you should learn how to enjoy your sex escapades. Your man looks good when it comes to bed.”
“Shut up, Almera!” I didn't stop myself to shout for she was about my cousin and I don't want to imagine Karen and Adam having an intimate position.
“I can't believe that you told me that! Look at you, and look at your mate who was blushing in embarrassment.” Karen said sarcastically, she even rolled her eyes at Almera.
“It's not my problem if he was embarrassed, I'm just boosting his ego, and I want him to know that I am enjoying every position that he was doing to me.” Almera reasoned out, which made Karen act like she was puking.
I cleared my throat, which I regret cause I coughed so hard when I felt a sting inside of my throat.
“I will call the pack doctor.” Almera was panicked and watching her acting like that made me laugh so she glared at me and even raised her middle finger at me. “Bitch, please.”
“Wait, you told me that Thomas was here and why I don't even see him?” My three Betas were all stunned when they realized that Thomas wasn't with them.
“Are you all looking for me?” We turned our gaze to Thomas who looked like a mess. His face was grumpy like something bad happened to me.
“Where did you go?” I asked him, making his face more grumpy
“I used the toilet to poop but someone locked me there! Oh fuck, I thought that I'll gonna die there!”
“Wait, are you sure that someone locked you in the toilet?” Thomas nodded, and I even noticed that his shirt was full of sweat.
“Yeah, I heard footsteps, and when he locked the toilet that I was using. It looks like someone doesn't want me to go here.”
Almera and I glance at each other. I sighed then faked my smile.
“Almera, I want you to investigate who locked him in the toilet. Maybe, he was right that someone might not want him to go here. It looks like someone didn't want to save Alpha Brandon in Samantha's mansion.” I ordered Almera using the mind link.
“Thomas, I'm sorry to hear that. It looks like someone was tripping you. Let's go inside my office so we can talk about everything.” Thomas nodded and went inside my office. But my eyes widened when I saw that he didn't have a mark on his neck. Who's this man? I know that Thomas had a mark on his neck.
It looks like this person copied Thomas but how? I don't even know that someone can do this!
I slowly entered my office and Almera followed me leaving Kairo and Karen outside.
