*Omario POV*
I wake up four hours after my rescue and my body feels like it’s been run over by a train. I had already lost hope and accepted my fate but here I am, given a second chance. The gorgeous face I saw before closing my eyes is the first I see. Abigail, my drop-dead gorgeous mate. Looking at her, my heart warms up and starts racing. She must have fallen asleep watching over me. Now it’s my turn to watch her. She looks so peaceful in her sleep, you would never guess the hell she’s been through. I take in her every feature, every contour and I’m blown away. Absolutely beautiful!
I can’t believe that starvation hid all of this away, but maybe it was for the best. I might have managed to keep her away from dad’s friends but I definitely would not have been successful keeping her away from dad himself had she looked like this. The lustrous bastard could not keep his remarks to himself when she walked past him the day she came back.
I can’t help myself but reach out and trace her sensual lips with my fingers. Oh how amazing they tasted the last time we kissed.
Her eyes flip open. I gasp when our eyes meet. How am I ever going to keep my hands off her?
“Your Highness,” she says with a yawn and I can’t help but laugh. She knows how I feel about her addressing me like that.
“Seriously?”
I thought she would still be angry about how I handled things. She giggles at my reaction, revealing her perfect set of teeth. Those have always been perfect. I remember thinking she could be a perfect toothpaste model.
I find myself also laughing, her laughter is sweet music to my ears. Shit! How on earth did I deny this?
“I promise to spend the rest of my life making up for every stupid moment I denied us. For every pain I caused you. For not taking you out of here the first time Titan suggested.”
She narrows her eyes at me and sits up. Gorgeous!
“What’s up with the change of mind? Are you okay, Your Highness?” she asks with a serious tone and places the back of her hand over my forehead to feel my temperature.
“Abigail!”
She’s enjoying herself while I wish I could take every stupid thing I did back.
“But Frode has been pronouncing mates for years in the kingdom,”she imitates my stupid words until I realise that this could go on forever and cover her lips with mine. Peaches and cream, damn! I’ve got to have my mate right now.
Before long, we are tangled up on the bed, naked and breathless. She’s always been the only woman I feel, now I’m mesmerised. I can safely say I’ve never been this enticed by a woman in my life before.
“Your scent is infatuating, woman,” I confess before kissing her neck and fondling with her perfect breasts.
She giggles and wraps her arms around my neck before getting serious.
“Terrence told me that you are terrified of Nina.”
I stop and look at her. We do need to clear everything up before getting carried away.
“She hates me.”
I think that is very clear after what happened. I don’t know how this will work but I have no intentions of ever staying away from Abi.
“Only because you’ve been denying our bond. She will come around,” Abi says and I truly hope that she is right.
“Are you sure? Because she’s quite scary.”
I am terrified of Nina and hiding from it has caused me more problems.
“You are the Steeled Alpha, remember?”she says before planting a kiss on my lips.
“Look what she did to the former Steeled Alpha,” I remind her of how Nina melted my supposedly invincible dad into ashes.
“She knows that you are off bounds. I’ve made that crystal clear to her and she gets it,” Abi says and melts my heart. Even in my stupidly, she has my back.
“Does that mean I am forgiven?”
“Yes, but we have to get our wolves to get along too,” she says, worriedly.
This will be our first union, we need our wolves on board to secure and affirm our bond, but I’m not sure why she’s worried.
“They love each other. Titan told me that,” I reassure her but she shakes her head.
“That was before he found out that Nina tried to kill the two of you,” Abi responds before she and Nina go back and forth.
“I was trying to kill Omario not Titan, but he won’t believe me. He won’t talk to me and he won’t even affirm our bond,” Nina links with a sulking tone. I can’t help but feel sorry for her. Titan has abandoned me so many times, I know exactly how she feels.
“I will talk to Titan, okay?” Abi says.
“Really?” Nina asks, excitedly.
“Like I said. I love you. I might not agree with your technique but I can’t be mad at you for avenging me,” Abi says and I’m reminded of my stupid deeds.
“Tell him that I’m really sorry,” Nina says before Abi turns back to me.
This is usually a smooth process but our wolves have minds of their own. Ideally, all four of us should be able to communicate but Titan is no where.
I can’t help but laugh before linking to him. He is really mad and wants nothing to do with Nina.
“You do realise that we have to mate to affirm our bond with our mate, right?”
This is something I thought he would be thrilled about but Titan is really angry.
“I don’t care. There will be no mating between Nina and I, ever!”
I can’t hold back my laughter and Titan is not impressed with me.
“You have already marked Abi and Nina marked me.You can’t change your mind now.”
“I adore Abi but I will have nothing to do with Nina. You deal with her,” he says defiantly.
“It does not work like that and you know it. Unless you want me to reject Abi and server the bond,” I tease, knowing that he will never ever reject Abi.
Titan does not respond but I know someone he will always respond to. I shift and let Abi deal with him. He starts winging his tail the moment he sees Abi, who hugs him and runs her hand over his fur. I am already jealous. These two have always gotten along, it will be worse now that they can hear each other clearly.
“Hey big guy. I missed you too,” Abi says and giggles when Titan licks her face like he usually does. I don’t think I’ve ever seen both of them so joyful. I hope I can keep them like this forever. I hope Nina and Titan resolve their issues because all of us like this would be heaven.
