The calm and enchanting voice of the king could be heard. He was willing to make her understand, and the energy, with which he was explaining to her, could be felt.
"What is wrong with you Mari? He called her fondly. Tangy could suspect that he was holding her already.
She is not competing with you, she is only coming here for her son,y son, who is also your son". All he was saying, was not really getting to her.
"I don't want any more witch in this kingdom". She made it sound like that was her problem, and Arthur asked her right.
"Are you worried about her or the kingdom. You think she still has a space in my heart, and that is why you are acting like this? That was just the truth.
Marinara knew she didn't have to keep arguing with him.
"I am not going to allow some witch, destroy my family". She says and walked out. Tangy immediately left the door, so that she doesn't see her eaves dropping, else, she would have suffered a punishment for that.
Marinara went to the entrance hall, it was already made clean by the maidens in the palace, She wanted to wait for Mogana, and out her straight, so she doesn't think of playing the fast one on her. She suspects that she must have a hand in what happened to Jayden. Only a blood, can be able to hurt another blood like that. Her wait was taking too long, but then the door opened, she quickly got up, thinking it must be her, but it was the physician again, he had brought more herbs and medicine to help him stay awake, before Mogana arrives.
Upon seeing Marinara, he looked down.
She stopped him and asked him an awkward question.
"How much did she pay you, to betray your own people? He was shocked, he raised a brow, as he turned back, looking around, to be sure that he heard her right. Then he thought that she was probably referring to someone else, so he decided not to answer her, but there was no other person with her, so she was definitely talking to him.
"Are you talking to me my Queen?
"Yes I am talking to you. How much did she pay you, so that you tell us that she has to be brought here before my son will be healed". She didn't even know when she referred to Jayden as her own son, though that she is how she had seen and taken him.
"I would never do that". He answered simply, disappointed that she could even think like that.
"If I am wrong and you are claiming to be right, then how was it possible that as soon as you saw him, you didn't even think it twice, you just assumed that all he needs is the blood of his parents? The physician didn't know how to explain the science behind it to her, but he was willing to try.
"I have treated so many hybrid, this is the fastest way to get them healed of any attack or disease". He answered.
"Oh, so there is another way? She asked, this time, turning to him to face him.
"Sure there is another way, but it will take too long, and we don't have too long, we just need him to be on his fit, as soon as possible".
"Drake leave us! Arthur intercepts her next statement.
Drake was happy for the break so he rushed out to where Jayden is taking his treatment.
Mari, this madness has to stop! He commanded.
"Oh so now I am mad? She retorted. She has a response for everything. Even Marinara didn't know why she was acting so insecure, she used to have her pride and she walked with so much Pride, why was she giving Mogana so much credit.
She was about to speak, when they were interrupted by one of the gate palace guard.
"The witch and Astra have arrived, should I send them this way, or straight to the dinner? That was how they welcome important guest. Arthur wanted Marinara to answer, while She was waiting for him to answer.
When non of them said something for a few seconds, Arthur told the guard to send them in through the hall, then he turned ri his Queen.
"You are giving her too much credit, and it is not worth it". He had just finished the last statement, when the door opened, to reveal a beautiful Mogana. She is even more beautiful in person than she had heard of, she looks like the goddess herself. Her hair was made of pure curls, that fell down to her shoulder area, and even beyond it, showing off her mirror skin. She flipped her hair backwards, as soon as the door was shut behind her, and her neck line was revealed. She looked up at then, and all of a sudden Marinara looked like a maid just staring at her. She was so tall, and very shapey, she could pass for a beautiful giant.
"Welcome to Demini". Arthur finally says, and stretch out his hands to shake her. Marinara was getting ready to take his hands back, but Mogana shocked her, by hugging him instead.
"That k you, it's been a really long while since I saw this place, and you must be Marinara? She turned to her and made to hug her, but she stopped her, by giving her hand.
"You are welcome Mogana, and please, next time, you take the hand, and not give him a hug. You are here for Jayden, I will show you the way to where he is, as soon as you are done, you can go back to take care of your kingdom, your people need you more". She was so blunt, that Astra could read through her. She smiles, for she had felt that same way with Jayden too.
"Please, take me to my son". Mogana didn't want to act like she was moved by what she said at all. Arthur also didn't bother going with then, he doesn't want any drama, it wasn't even as though he is happy having Mogana in the house, it was so difficult for him, because with her around, he is scared, that somehow, the truth about that day night come out.
He was fighting his fears, but they over cloud him, especially when Marinara that used to be solidly by his side, is acting up, he really would have issues. It was times like this, that he would have loved to have his friend Luther close to him, but he was sent on a mission outside the kingdom
Instead of going with them, he stayed back, he wouldn't stay, he would have to stay away from the both of them.
