My Rejected Mate And Our Secret Triplets Chapter 19

Chapter 19

***LARISSA***

I sat in my room all day doing nothing and waiting to be called on. I found a book earlier and tried picking it up to read, but I couldn't concentrate and I kept reading the same line over and over again.

It had been several hours and I was already getting hungry again. Not like I had enough to eat for breakfast. I was being too nervous and cautious to properly eat anything.

I kept glancing at the door thinking they would open any minute.

I rubbed my palms together as I sat on the edge of the bed with my right foot tapping on the ground.

I let out a deep breath I had been holding and immediately stood up. I had to go outside and find something to do. Maybe just wander around a bit.

I got into my slippers and went to the door.

I opened the doors, hoping that I wasn't locked in and I sighed when the doors opened up. They were wooden and heavy.

I closed the doors back up and walked in the right direction. The left led to the Dining room where I was this morning.

I could hear some voices down the hall. It sounded as if they intended to whisper, but their voices were thick nevertheless, and it was hard to make out the words.

I followed the direction of the voices and I stopped as I got close enough to audibly hear what they were saying.

"People are talking, nobody is going to allow a Pack wolf to roam around the pack freely whether she's your mate or not," a man's voice said.

"They are going to allow it because I command it," another voice, that sounded like the General said.

"And she ran away from her pack. A few more weeks and she'll become a Rogue without a pack," he added.

"We are Rogues but we still have mate bonds even if it's rare, don't we?" The General asked.

I didn't wait for the other man to reply before sneaking away and running back to my room immediately.

What was I thinking? There's no way I can remain here.

Maybe the General is going to be good to me because I was his mate and maybe he has a say over the others here.

But he can't always protect me. I would forever remain in the midst of people who want to rip out my throat.

Unless he wants to hide me up here forever. The longer I remain here, the harder it gets and the more I compromise the General's authority here.

For the sake of my safety and the General's power here, I have to leave this place.

I have to find another pack to join and hope that after a while the mate bond will fade and break.

It was evening and by night, I was going to find a way to escape.

PRESENTLY.

"Bring her into this room," I heard some voices in my head as I stirred back to consciousness.

I could feel myself getting carried and my eyes slowly fluttered open but it was dark again.

My head was covered with something and I couldn't move my hands.

I groaned a bit as I felt the ache in the back of my head. They were tied together.

The person carrying me dropped me on a chair and I felt the ropes around my hand loosen before they got tied to the chair I sat on.

I was half-conscious and confused so I wasn't fully aware of what was happening.

I remembered leaving the house after having a heated argument with Jack and going to the garage so I could drive to a hotel. I remembered being attacked and that was when I realized what situation I was in.

I had been abducted. I tried moving my hands, but they were tightly tied to the chair.

I muttered a curse under my breath as I realized who must be behind this. No one else could have abducted me except Logan.

"I'm awake, and I can't breathe," I said so the others in the room would hear me. After a few seconds, someone came to remove the bag covering my head. I shut my eyes immediately as the lights flooding the room from the large windows hit my eyes.

I slowly opened them back up and looked around the room. I only recognized one face, he worked here as a guard when I was still at the pack.

I didn't know the other one who was holding the bag that was previously over my face. I had never seen him before.

"Where's Logan?" I asked.

"It's Alpha Logan," the man standing in front of me stated.

I scoffed.

"He's not my Alpha, now tell Logan to get here and explain why he had the guts to take me from my home," I retorted in anger.

He was about to say something but the door of the room opened and Logan walked in.

He looked slightly different from the last time I saw him. His face had matured a lot more and he had some other different features like a small beard on his face and a hairstyle different from the one he always liked.

I shook my head, blinking so I could give him a piece of my mind.

"You son of a bitch, why am I here?" I asked, trying to move forward on the chair.

"Hello to you too," he replied.

"Fuck you."

"You're here because you ignored all the letters I wrote to you and all my calls," he finally answered my question.

"I saw all of them and I ignored it because I want to and I'm not obligated to do your bidding. I'm no longer a part of this pack," I replied.

"No, you are not, but you're a runaway who ran from the sins of her father," he replied and I gritted my teeth in anger.

"My father is the guilty one, not me. I can leave the pack whenever I want to. It's not a contract," I clapped back at him.

"Then why did you run? Why didn't you leave in the day when everyone could see you?" He asked.

"You can argue all you want, but you're in my pack now and you're not going to leave until you do what I want?" He said authoritatively and I scoffed.

I was angered and pained that all of a sudden, he had power over me now.

"You want me to treat your father? What if I say no?" I asked.

"Then you can kiss your pretty little human world goodbye."
