My Rejected Mate And Our Secret Triplets Chapter 23

Chapter 23

***LARISSA***

I recognized him. He was the man that was arguing with the General earlier today about me.

I was in trouble and I knew it. The General had trusted me and given me free rein, he would feel so betrayed when he finds out about this. I fear even the fact that I was his mate won't help me.

"You!" He bellowed, glaring daggers at me.

I looked behind me, there was nowhere to run and even if I did run, he was so much stronger and faster than me, I would only be wasting my strength. He obviously didn't like me any bit so if I anger him, he could kill me on the spot and the General won't know about it.

"Get up!" He suddenly bent down, grabbed me by the shoulders, and pulled me up.

"Looks like somebody was trying to escape," he said, with a senile smile. He pulled me closer to himself and our faces were close.

"A Pack Wolf will always remain a Pack Wolf after all," he said and I could feel his hot breath on my face, it was so disgusting and scary at the same time.

"If I didn't know better, I'd say Raxon is going to make you pay for betraying his trust," he said and suddenly pushed me, sending me falling back on my butt on the ground.

I let out the breath I had been holding. His breath was equally as disgusting as the scars on his face.

"But no, your bond weakens him and I don't like it," he added, and I could see the veins bulging in his forehead. I couldn't tell if he was mad at me right now or at the General.

"Go!" He yelled at me and I stared at him in confusion. What was he saying??

"Run away right now, and make sure you don't come back," he said, moving closer to me and I quickly stood up.

"If I see you again, I'll kill you with my own hands," he threatened.

Realizing that he wanted me to be far away from the General, I immediately started running. As I got to the wall, I stopped for a while to catch my breath and took a close look at it.

I dug my left hand into the wall and grunted as I lifted myself. I dug my other hand into the wall and continued going till I was at the top.

I sighed as I sat on the wall and looked over the other side at the ground. I was one jump away from my Freedom.

"Hey! Who are you!" I heard someone shout and I looked behind me to see a Rogue walking by the dark street.

Oh shit!

PRESENTLY

I walked into my room and sighed as I threw myself on the bed.

Soon, someone knocked on the door and I stood up to go answer it.

"Thank you," I said as I collected the tray from the cook and closed the door. I went to drop the tray on the table next to my bed.

I walked back to my bed and sat down. This was exactly what I wanted to avoid. Memories of the past, I wanted to avoid altogether.

Logan wasn't making it easier for me too. He was trying so hard to be nice, but all he was doing was reminding me of how we were.

How he acted nice to me when nobody was there and how he said he loved me only to betray my trust.

I placed my face in my palms as I felt tears sting the corners of my eyes. I wanted all of these to be over.

I need to return home and be finally able to take my kids out of that boarding home. I wanted to back and fix my relationship with Jack.

I grabbed the pillow next to me and flung it across the room.

The pillow hit the lampstand by the side of my dressing table and they both fell to the ground, the lampstand crashing, and shattering on the floor.

I let out a heavy breath and I reached for my phone. Logan gave it to me when I was observing his dad.

I went to my phone book and my fingers hovered ok her Jack's number. I left without fixing things and he might be worried about where I was.

He hadn't called yet, so maybe he was still mad and didn't care at all. I dropped the phone on the bed next to me.

I sighed again and picked the phone up. I don't know how long I would be here for, I have to try and come up with an excuse for him.

I was about to dial his number when I heard a knock on the door.

"Larissa?" Logan called out my name from the other end of the door.

"I heard a noise, are you okay?" He asked, and I glanced at the shattered lampstand on the floor.

"Yes, I'm fine."

"Okay," he said and I heard him walk away. I switched off my phone and dropped it.

It'll be easier for everyone if I didn't call him.

I stood up and used my fingers to wipe the corners of my eyes.

I remember going to the small garden at the back of the mansion. I always went there when I felt sad and Logan would join me there sometimes.

There was a small tree house there and I wanted to see if it was still there.

I passed the longer path to avoid running into Logan and when I finally got to the back, I looked in the direction of where the tree house used to be.

There was no longer a tree, but there was still a wooden house structure. It was on the ground and it looked like it had been rebuilt.

Who did that? Logan?

I slowly walked towards it out of curiosity and I smiled as I saw all the butterflies flying around the flowers.

I raised my eyebrows as I heard a sound coming from the treehouse. Someone was in there.

As I got to it, I climbed up the short flight of stairs and pushed the doors open.

I gasped as I saw who was inside. It was Logan's Beta, Nolan, and another man I didn't recognize.

And they were kissing intimately.
