Chapter 29
***LARISSA***
Oh shit!
I turned my legs over to the other side of the wall and prepared to jump.
"Hey stop!" He shouted at me and I took in a deep breath before jumping. I landed on the ground with both of my palms.
I cried in pain as I felt the bone in my left wrist snap from the pressure of my weight on the ground. Gritting my teeth, I stood up and looked at my palms. There was a deep gash on my palms and it was bleeding.
I looked back and ignored it, running as fast as I could into the dark Forest.
"Over there!" I heard someone shout behind me and I looked over my shoulder to see several lit torches. There were so many of them coming after me.
I didn't look where I was going so I tripped over the root of a tree and fell to the ground face flat. I got up and continued running.
I've come too far and I cannot be caught. I had no idea where I was running to, but I had to get away from these Rogues.
I bent down as I heard something fly at me from behind and I saw an arrow fly right over my head.
I continued running, moving in zigzags as several arrows flew past me. I winced in pain as an arrow grazed my right arm, cutting through the surface of my skin before lodging itself in a tree.
It was a silver arrow, they were determined to kill me and I couldn't run much longer. I immediately turned to the right of the forest so I would be temporarily out of their sight and I immediately grabbed onto the trunk of a tree, digging my claws into it and jumping to the top of the tree. I looked below as I saw them get closer and look around, searching for me.
"Wait here," someone said and they all ran to the front to keep searching while one of them remained here just directly below the tree I was on.
As long as he was there, I was trapped here. I looked at my arm where the arrow hit me and saw hissed in pain. It was already slowly bleeding and the blood was slowly dripping down my arm.
I was about to stop the blood when a drop of it fell down my arm and I looked below to see it drop on the face of the Rogue beneath the tree. He looked up in curiosity and as he spotted me, he suddenly shouted, "Here."
Immediately acting on instinct, I jumped down from the tree and landed on the Rogue with my both legs around his neck.
He hit my legs, trying to shake me off him, but I quickly grabbed the small knife he hid in his sleeve and stabbed him in the neck.
He immediately stopped struggling and I climbed down from him, letting him fall lifelessly to the ground. I looked up as I heard footsteps and leaves rustling.
They were coming back. I quickly bent down and yanked the gun out of the lifeless fingers of the Rogue I just killed.
One of the Rogues appeared out of the trees and before he could react, I fired the gun at him and an arrow flew out of it, hitting the Rogue in the heart.
It shot arrows. Nice. I continued firing randomly into the trees where the Rogues were coming from hoping it'll hit enough of them before I continued running.
I noticed that the forest path I was running in began to slope upwards which made it hard to run. I looked behind me and saw two Rogues coming after me from down in the leveled ground.
One of them raised up his gun and shot at me, but my head snapped to the side in time and it whizzed past my ear.
I had the upper hand cause of my position so I began to grab big rocks and throw them down at them as they tried to run up.
The first rock I threw hit one of them in the face and sent him right back to the ground while they dodged the others I sent. I looked down to see that the one I hit with a rock didn't move. It must have knocked him unconscious.
I grabbed the gun that I hung on my shoulder and fired an arrow at them. It hit the one closest to me in the chest and he froze, a tiny groan escaping his lips before he tumbled down the slope lifelessly.
The other one looked down at his colleague who I just shot before looking up at me with a rageful look in his eyes. He growled at me and began to run up faster.
Scared, I tried to shoot him, but nothing came out of the gun.
Shit! It was out of arrows. I stood up and moved back, throwing the gun down at the Rogue coming after me. It was about to hit him in the face but he smacked it away with the back of his large palm.
He growled and I immediately began to run away. As I got to the top of the slope, I continued running straight into the forest. I looked over my shoulder as I saw the Rogue Jump on the top of the slope and chase after me. I couldn't continue running, he would soon catch up to me and kill me.
I needed to find somewhere to hide. I continued running, looking around the dark forest for somewhere I could hide in the meantime. My arm was bleeding and I was losing a lot of blood, making me weaker every minute.
I noticed that I didn't hear the footstep of the Rogue behind me anymore and I stopped running, turning around.
I saw him standing at a distance away from me and he growled as he bent down and started shifting into a wolf.
Oh no!
