Chapter 30
***LARISSA***
Oh no!
My heart began to beat rapidly and I slowly walked backward as I heard the loud cracking sounds of his bone.
I watched as he shifted into a full wolf and he suddenly leaped into the air charging at me. At the last minute, I moved away from where I was and the wolf crashed into a tree.
I continued running, panting as my heart beat fast. I heard the growl of the wolf behind me as he got up and kept chasing after me. I wasn't fast enough to outrun a wolf. I looked behind me and saw the wolf leap into the air and Jump on a tree close to me. It growled at me and I looked around me quickly before spotting a big log of wood on the ground. I looked up at the wolf and as it jumped down at me, I dived down, grabbed the log of wood, and swung it at the wolf.
The wolf growled in pain as the log of wood hit it at the lower side of its belly and it went crashing into the ground.
I froze in fear for a while before I dropped the log of wood on the ground and continued running. I heard the wolf get up and continue chasing after me.
I cried in pain as I felt the wolf hit me with his forelimbs and sent me tumbling to the ground. I tried to stand up and keep running, but the wolf pounced on me, with its large forelimbs pinning my arms to the ground, the claws buried in my flesh. It growled at me and I panted heavily in fear as I looked at the furious animal standing over me and its large fangs.
I looked up as the wolf raised up its hand to strike me and closed my eyes, waiting for it to end.
When the kill strike didn't come, I opened my eyes slowly and saw a bullet hit the wolf in the chest.
The wolf immediately let go of me and moved back, growling loudly.
I looked back and I saw light coming from the back. There were some men holding torches and holding guns.
They were humans.
"Get away from the beast," one of them said and I immediately moved aside so they could fire at the Rogue wolf again.
Another bullet the wolf as it tried to charge at the humans. It growled and they began to fire at the wolf rapidly.
Losing against them, the wolf turned around and ran back into the forest where we came from.
I sighed in relief and the humans ran towards me.
"What are you doing out here? Are you okay?" One of them asked and I looked at the place in my arms the wolf dug its claws into.
I had lost a lot of blood and I began to go dizzy. My vision went blurry and I could barely see the men standing in front of me.
"Are you okay?" Someone asked, but his voice sounded distant and echoed as I tried to fight the overwhelming weakness.
The last thing I heard before going unconscious was, "We have to take her to the hospital."

PRESENTLY.
As Nolan's eyes caught mine, he suddenly pushed the man he was kissing away and the two of them looked at me, scared.
If Nolan was Homosexual then it could cause him a lot of trouble in the pack. I lived with the humans for six years and I was already used to the idea of same-gender marriage.
It was normal to me, but no one here would support it. It was forbidden and the punishment was banishment.
"Please, you can't tell anyone about this," Nolan pleaded with me and I shook my head.
"If you want to be with a man, why take up the position of a Beta in a pack, when you can easily go to the humans?" I asked and I saw his partner nod in agreement and give Nolan an i-told-you-so look.
Nolan sighed and shook his head, "I can't."
"You can't?"
"I cannot explain it to you, but I can't leave this pack," he said. I wasn't interested in whatever reason he had to make himself hide around in secret so I simply nodded.
"Whatever you want, just make someone else doesn't see you guys," I said and walked towards the door.
"As for me I didn't anything," I said and walked out. I went back to the pack mansion, going through the front door this time.
"Larissa, where were you?" I looked up and saw Logan approach me from down the hallway.
"I went out to take a walk," I lied without sparing him another glance and continued walking towards my room.
"The physician is around now, let him know the things you need him to get," Logan said and I finally faced him.
"Where is he?" I asked.
"The sick dorm," he replied and suddenly took a sharp turn into the corridor on the left to go find the Physician.
I noticed that Logan was still walking behind me and I closed my eyes, shaking my head and breathing in deeply.
I was simply going to ignore him.
As I got to the sick dorm, I opened the door and walked in. The physician was attending to a sick patient and I sat down, waiting for him to get done. I looked in the direction of the door and saw Nolan walk in.
Our eyes met and he looked away before going to Logan.
"Who was it that came to see you earlier?" Logan asked and I saw Nolan freeze for a second.
He glanced at me and I shook my head to let him know I didn't say anything.
"It was a friend. He needed to get something from me. He has left now."
