Chapter 49
***DEREK***
6 YEARS AGO.
"By The Moon, I totally forgot," I said and I sighed, throwing my head back. There were a lot of things I had to handle and get settled in preparation for the coronation.
"Well, I gotta go now, I told my dad I went to stay over at Raven's place," Alvina said and she stood up. I watched as she got dressed and I felt my dick twitch as I got another erection.
As she finished getting dressed, she walk over to my side of the bed and bent down to kiss me.
"Even if Logan's Alpha, I'm happy I still have you," I said with a smile and she waved before going to the door. She opened the door slightly and stuck out her head to make sure no one was in the hallway before she left and closed the door.

"There's a missing chair at the council spot, WHY IS THERE A MISSING CHAIR AT THE COUNCIL SPOT?" I asked the servants in front of me as I pointed at the seats.
"We counted the number of Elders and ev-"
"Did you add Councilwoman Kath to the list?" I asked with a cold glare and they looked like they had seen a ghost before they shook their head.
She was my father's half-sister that joined the pack a week after my dad died. She got the title recently. Just last week, she complained to me that pack members hardly acknowledged her because she was a woman and she was also black.
"I'm sorry, we'll add it right away," one of them said quickly.
"Hurry up about it," I said and they scampered away quickly. The coronation was about to start and I haven't rested all day. The hall soon started getting filled up as people walked in.
Hoping that the servants would get here with the seat before all the members of the council arrived, I walked out. I didn't want Kath to get any form of embarrassment, but there was still one thing I needed to do.
I need to get the Coronation staff and garment from the storage room. I just hope they found it and kept it where I could easily get it as I asked them to. Cause the Storage room was full of a lot of things and there hasn't been a need for the Coronation staff or garment in decades.

TWO WEEKS AGO.
There's no way he would believe it if I said we were just friends. I would be setting myself up.
"She made advances at me and sent those letters to me, but I never had anything to do with her," I said and Logan closed his eyes, breathing heavily and my eyes darted to his palms that slowly clenched up into fists.
"Oh, and all the letters she said you sent to her and all the visits she mentioned??" He asked and I knew he had caught me.
How many letters exactly has he read? Why did he even come into my room in the first place and how did the find the letters??
Also, how long had he been here? All of those questions disappeared from my mind as I realized what he did. That was why he wanted me to get the letters from the Elders.
He needed me gone for a while which meant he has had this suspicion before.
"All those times you said you were going to see friends in neighboring packs, you were going to see her??" Logan asked.
"I didn't -" I wanted to try and defend myself, but he interrupted me.
"You weren't supposed to answer that!" He suddenly charged at me and slammed me against the wall. I groaned in pain as I felt something in my back crack and Logan's eyes glowed brightly.
"I trusted you!" He yelled and grabbed my collar, pulling me close.
"Did I ever do anything wrong to deserve this?!"
I scoffed within me as he asked that question, and decided it was time he knew how I felt and exactly what he has taken from me.
"You are taking everything that's mine, that's what!" I yelled back at Logan and he seemed taken aback by my reaction.
"First, you took the position of Alpha from me and I became a mere beta to you!"
"What?" Logan asked in confusion. Of course, he doesn't even realize what he got. Daddy just gave it to him and he happily accepted it without even realizing it could have belonged to someone else.
"Yes! Your father should have never stepped down and handed over to you! He should have died and given both of us a fair chance to fight for the position!" I explained to him so he could know he was a spoilt arrogant brat that got the position on a platter of gold.
"But the whole pack ignored it because my father is the younger brother. That's why you're Alpha! Because your father is the oldest one!" I yelled as loudly as I could and continued to tell him the list of things he has taken from me.
"And then all of a sudden, you are the mate of Alvina who I've loved for a long time. The two of us loved each other and you ruined that!" I pointed at him furiously. As if I didn't have enough already from knowing Alvina is banished and I have to write letters and sneak around to privately meet her.
"I had no idea, you should have let me know," Logan said.
I scoffed. Was he a kid? Is he trying to be understanding or is he just an arrogant fool with nothing in his head??
"Let you know?"
"You claimed her on the spot, and even if you didn't, what did you want me to do? Tell you not to accept the fated Luna of the pack and be considered a traitor?"
"I-"
"Everything I did, I don't regret it. I loved every bit of it. I enjoyed laying with her in your bed, I enjoyed lying to your face every second and I'm enjoying watching everything fall to pieces for you," I said, and Logan suddenly dragged me by the collar again and pulled me all the way to the dungeon.
He could go ahead and do whatever he wants to do. Unless he kills me, I will have what is mine and make him pay.
"You're going to rot here. I promise you."
