Chapter 50
***DEREK***
I hurried back to the hall quickly with the coronation staff and garment and I handed it to Luna Eve. After I found it, I went back to my room to bathe and get changed before I came here with it.
I went to sit down just one step to the council spot and I glanced up to see Councilwoman Kath walk in and sit down.
The hall was still filling up with pack members and I looked at the door as Elder Jakob and his family walked in. Alvina was wearing a long green gown and thin sleeve gloves. Her hair was now styled differently from how it was yesterday.
Our eyes met and I smiled at her. Elder Jakob went to the council spot while Alvina and her brothers went to sit at the opposite end of the hall with the Council families.
Her brothers were way older than she was. There was a ten-year age gap between Alvina and the youngest of her brothers, Landon.
None of them stayed in the pack as they had found lives in the human world, but they were probably here because Alvina was already 18 and events like this are the perfect time for the Moon Goddess to pick her matches. She would probably find her mate here today if she was lucky and they wouldn't want to miss that.
The rest of the coronation went on and Logan was finally made the Alpha of the pack. As Alvina said, anything can happen at any time so he better enjoys it while it lasts.
He was my cousin, but I won't hesitate if I get the chance to finally take what should be mine back.
The party started and people moved to the dance floor. I looked around the dancefloor till I saw Alvina dancing with one of her brothers.
The two of them looked like they were in the middle of a conversation and Alvina was laughing. Knowing the music would soon switch up and dance partners would change, I walked into the dance floor and caught the hand of a lady.
We both danced to the beat of the music and I moved closer to Alvina and her brother so I could catch her during the next switch.
"Mate," I heard someone say and I looked left to see a guy from the pack while facing the lady he was dancing with. The two of them smiled and I watched as the guy moved closer to her and kissed her. As he pulled back, I looked at her lips to see the bite mark on it.
He had claimed her. I smiled and turned to the other side to glance at Alvina thinking about how it would be nice if we were mates.
The music immediately switched up and I let go of the lady I was holding, moving around the room so I could catch Alvina but I missed her and someone else caught her instead.

TWO WEEKS AGO.
Logan suddenly dragged me by the collar again and pulled me all the way to the dungeon.
"You're going to rot here. I promise you," he said, gritting his teeth before storming out of the dungeon.
I hissed and slowly unclenched my fists as I walked farther into the cell. I sighed as I sat on the floor and leaned on the wall of the cell.
Alvina's punishment was banishment so that was the same punishment I would get for treason.
I knew Logan would rather kill me than let me out of here, especially now that he knew Alvina survived the Rogues lurking in the forest.
Even if he lets me face trial, I can't let myself get humiliated in front of the entire pack, I had to escape and I had the means to, I just had to wait for my time.

I opened my eyes as I heard the dungeon door open followed by a footstep. I looked up as a guard stopped by my cell with a plate of food in his hand.
He opened the small slot at the bottom of the cell's gate and pushed the plate in. I pretended to be very hungry and rushed forward to grab the plate so he could remain there for me to carry out my plan.
I took one spoon of the food quickly and munched it quickly before swallowing it.
I suddenly stopped moving and looked up at the guard. He looked at me with a raised eyebrow.
"Is there vegetable oil in this?" I asked.
"Why?" He replied with a question.
"Because I'm severely allergic to pea-" I immediately stopped talking and held on to my throat while coughing loudly.
I tried to stand up, but I fell back down and the plate of food scattered across the cell.
Quickly, the guard opened the door of the cell and came in to try and help me.
As soon as he was close enough, I grabbed the plate and smacked it in his face. Before he could react, I threw my knee up in his abdomen and smashed his head against the wall.
I watched as he fell unconscious to the ground. I sighed and I walked out of the cell. As I got close to the dungeon door, more guards rushed in. One of them raised his gun to shoot me, but I zoomed out of the way immediately.
I ran to the wall and kicked it, as I bounced back, I flipped in the air with my wolf claws extending and I slashed the neck of a guard. I grabbed his gun as he fell lifelessly and shot another one in the chest.
The silver arrow lodged in him and he fell to the ground in pain. I ran toward the third guard as he tried to shift and attack, but I smacked him just as he growled and he went flying into a wall, forcing the shift to stop.
I ran out of the dungeon immediately and ran to my room so I could grab some things before running away. As I turned into another hallway, I looked up and immediately stopped running as I saw Criag and another Delta, Scott approaching.
