Chapter 70
Larissa’s pov
I glared at Alvina with disgust, walking towards her to beat the crap out of her, when I saw Logan run out of his room.
He paused to look at me and then at Alvina. He rushed to Alvina’s side and lift her up but I didn’t stop. It felt like my wolf was controlling me.
“Larrissa stop!” I could see Logan’s mouth moving but I couldn’t quite hear him. There was only one thing on my mind and that was to beat the crap out of Alvina.
I was barely a foot away from Alvina, about to punch her again when Logan left her side and came to mine.
“Larissa!!” he yelled but it felt like he was calling from a distance away.
“Larissa please, talk to me!” He yelled.
When I didn’t listen, he slapped me across the face and I finally came back to my senses.
I glanced at Logan who seemed to be holding me back and Alvina furrowed her brows.
There was a huge bruise on her face that was swelling and turning purple. Did I do that?
“You bitch! Logan, she tried to kill me! What are you doing hugging her!’ Alvina yelled from where she stood, her face red with anger.
“Larrissa, are you okay?” Logan asked, his hands coming up to touch my face.
I slapped his hands off and pushed him away.
“Don’t you dare touch me,” I growled.
“Go back to your mistress.” I yelled and turned on my heels only to find Logan’s mother staring at me.
“What are you doing you wretched woman,” The Luna asked but I didn’t give her an answer or even look at her, I was too upset, too raw to say anything to her.
Seeing Logan protect Alvina made me feel worse than I had earlier.
“I’m talking to you!” Luna said as I walked past her, still refusing to speak to her. I continued to walk untill I got to my room and shut the door.
I cried myself to sleep that night and vowed to close my heart and do my best to love Jack. He was the only man that ever protected me and loved me unconditionally. He was the only one who deserved my love.
I slept that night and dreamt of my kids and Jack, fighting each other.
I woke up the next day in a pool of sweat, gasping for air.
I quickly found my way up and went to open the curtains to the gradual rise of the sun rays.
Finally able to breathe, I rushd to the bathroom and washed my face.
A series of nightmare had plagued my sleep. I couldn’t remember much of what happened but it seem to me like a war was coming and it was coming to this pack.
I wasn’t sure what to make of it but I knew that I couldn’t stay here for much longer or be caught in the drama.
I wanted to go see my kids in the human world. They deserved to be with their mother. I wondered how they were doing. I hadn’t seen them in over a week and I was sure they missed me… and Jack?
How would hr take my disappearance?
Was he thinking of me?
I had been very mean to him on the day that I was abducted. He must think I was hiding from him.
Still staring at my reflection, a knock came and I ran to open the door only to find Logan standing on the door way.
“What do you want?” I snapped, staring at the bouquet of tulips.
“I wanted to check on you…”
“Why? So you can mock me?” I snapped again, annoyed by his presence.
“I wish you’d just listen to me and stop making up things in your head,” Logan spat, anger in his eyes.
“Look, I have to get ready. I need to check on your father, if you don’t mind,” I said and closed the door in his face.
I rushed into the bathroom and spent thirty minutes bathing. Once I was done,I dressed up and went to the Old Alpha’s chambers. He was still unconscious.
I administered some drugs to him, checked his vitals and left.
On my way back to the chamber, I saw Nola and Steve with Logan walking towards the Alpha’s room, where I had just come from and stopped, waiting for them.
They were finally back from the human world and they held a lot of supplies with them. Behind them was a few guard bringing in a big box and I frowned wondering what on earth was in it.
It was when they got closer that I realized it was a Holtermonitor.
Confused, I watched as the guards passed me and walked to the chambers.
They really went all the way out. I was just going to perform the surgery in the local clinic but I guess Logan had a different plan.
“Nolan, hi, you are back. Welcome.’ I smiled at the man that I had gotten closer to since I got here.
“Hi Dr. Larrissa,” Nolan smiled, “you look radiant today.”
“Thank you. How did getting the supplies go?” I questioned both Nolan and Steve.
“Pretty well. Humans are so weird you know and also weak. They are weaker than I thought they’d be.” Nolan said, fascinated by his discovery.
“What they lack in strength, they make up for in weapons,” I shrugged.
Logan was staring daggers at Nolan for some reason and I couldn’t help but stare in confusion.
“Alright, I’ll drop this in my room and come check the supplies you got out “
“Alright,” they nodded and began to walk toward my room.
I was at the door when Logan caught my hand.
“What the hell was that about?” He asked, his eyes yellow,”
Shocked, I tried to move back. Why was he so upset?
“What?”
“With Nolan. Are you fucking him now?” He asked and I couldn’t help but frown…
“I beg your pardon?”
