Chapter 71
**ALVINA’S POV***
I had been back in Logan’s pack for over a week now and all I had heard were praises from the pack members for Larrissa and it made me sick to my stomach.
Everywhere I looked it was Larissa being praised and me being shunned.
It was like the table had reversed and I was now the butt of the joke.
I hated it, I hated it so much.
I couldn’t even venture out of the pack house without being stoned or hit
It was either stone, tomatoes or sticks. Even little pups looked down on me.
I hated it.
My little taunts with Larrissa didn’t even work anymore. I was nothing more than a joke to her.
She’d even gotten stronger.
I needed to fix this, I needed to find a way to get Logan on my side and for Logan to me mine again, but how on earth would I get that done?
Logan was still in love with Larrissa even though Larrissa didn’t believe it herself. It was true. She was just to dumb to see it.
I wasn’t particularly upset by that fact. That was what I’d need to drive a hole between them but I needed more.
I needed dirt on Larissa. She had to have some skeletons in her closet that she wanted nobody to find out. And I was going to find out about it.
I stood up from my chambers and began to arrange some clothes that I’d take to the human world. It was paramount I got there as early as possible before something happened.
But what was I going to tell Logan?
I didn’t need to say anything to him. I was only going to be there for a day or two. It wasn’t enough time for him to find out that I was missing.
I’d just tell the guards that I was going to stay with my father for a couple of days.

HUMAN WORLD
The human world was a blissful place but it reeked of weakness and that was the first thing I noticed when I arrived at the place.
It was funny because I kept getting weird stares from everyone like I was some kind of painting in an art gallery.
“You are so beautiful,” a woman walked up to me and I stared at her and returned her smile.
She walked away, still staring at me.
I knew humans found werewolves irresistible but I never knew just how bad it was.
I had been here for a total of three hours and I was already attracting attention left, right and center.
I was supposed to keep a low profile but with all the stares I was getting it was almost Impossible.
Derek and my uncles told me a few years ago about the human world, so I had completely expected this but not to this degree. Maybe I should have taken some wolfsbane to mask my scent or something.
Ignoring the stares, I continued to walk. It was dark now, so it was easier to hide.
I was hungry and tired and without any human money. I didn’t quite think this journey through.
I was still walking, hungry and pissed that I was practically walking with barely any directions and food in my stomach when I came across a bench. I ran to the bench to sit as I was exhausted, but only to find two young humans kissing passionately on the other extreme of the bench.
What the fuck was wrong with these humans? They were almost mating outside, did they have no shame?
“Hey!” I yelled, trying to get their attention but they didn’t so much glance at me.
Angry and frustrated, I picked one of them up with one hand and glared up at his fearful eyes.
“Are you deaf?” I asked,
“Let go of her!!” the man ordered, with his voice a little bit shaky.
I turned to look at him and smiled,
“Sure, but you’ll have to pay?”
“Or I could beat you up,”
My eyes glowed crimson and his eyes widened in shock.
He shook his head, wondering if he’d seen right.
“Look lady, I don’t want to hurt you, I don’t hurt women but if you don’t leave my girlfriend alone, I’ll have to…”
I punched him across the face causing him to fall down.
The girlfriend yelled for me to stop as I was about to step on him and I stopped.
“I said your money and everything of value,”
I repeated to her.
“Please Jason, give her what she wants.” She pleaded.
Jason, who now had a huge bruise on his face, instantly took out his wallet and placed it on the bench.
“Good boy, now leave with you bitch,” I said and threw his girlfriend at him, he caught her but they both fell to the ground.
They both scrambled to get up and ran off.
I opened the wallet as soon as they left and was surprised at how much cash was in it.
This would be enough to get something to eat and get some New clothes.
That night, I slept outside the cold night, under the dim half moon light. It was both cold and uncozy.
***”
The next day, I walked into a clothing store
And got myself some clothes that would give me an inconspicuous look.
I couldn’t afford to be distracted on my mission.
For some reason the seller gave me the clothes for free and I thanked him.
For weak creatures, they were awfully nice.
I put on the black sweatpants and gray hoodie and a face cap with glasses and continued on my way.
The costume didn’t help much but it at least hid me from the eyes of prying men.
Thoughts of Derek flooded my mind as I bumped into someone that looked like him. The only difference was that he had long hair that was a mixture of Brown and blonde highlights.
He stared at me with a soft smile and I was instantly transported back to a time where I was happy with Derek.
I wonder how Derek would react if he knew he had a human look alike.
He’d probably be pissed or fascinated by it. It was hard to tell now.
It still hurt that he’d abandoned me but at least I had Logan or would soon have him.
I didn’t love Logan half as much as I loved Derek but he would.
As I roamed the flea market close to the border of the werewolf world, I couldn’t help but be fascinated by the humans.
They were weak and easy to kill yet they lived life to the fullest. It was a beautiful sight.
Men and women littered the street, some of them holding hands, a few of them kissing and I even got to see a girl and a grill kissing like lovers.
It was weird. Back In the werewolf world, they’d be stoned to death or worse burnt alive.
I shook my head, shocked by the display but also fascinated by how free the human world was. I understood why Larissa stayed here for so long now.
I couldn’t wait for her to come back to the human world and for me to finally have what belonged to me. I was doing this not just for me but for Derek, wherever he was.
It was after all Logan's fault he’d stopped Loving me.
As I got deeper into the city, I noticed Larissa on a big billboard. She was indeed a popular doctor and that fact pissed me the fuck off.
I walked for hours until I got to a motel that was more or less an inn, and paid for a room. It was cheaper than I thought. At least that was what I thought.
I was still getting used to the human world after all. I was glad I had listened back to training about human studies and also listened to Derek’s story of the human world. It was the knowledge I gained from them that was helping me navigate the big and confusing human world.
It was already dark and I planned to go to the hospital Larissa worked to get more Information about her. I was sure she had a husband or something.
One that could point me to her dirty laundry.
****
The next day came quickly and I got dressed to go make my findings.
This would have been so much easier if I had hired a private investigator for all of this but I just couldn’t risk hiring anyone from the pack, not when my reputation was on a rocky surface.
As I came out of the motel, I was greeted by the bright sun of the human world.
I put on my sunglasses and went on my merry way.
