My Rejected Mate And Our Secret Triplets Chapter 75

CHAPTER 75

JACK

It has been a total of 6 days without any trace of Larisa. Even the police had not been able to find her.

I was losing my mind with every second that passed. I had not been able to perform any major surgeries because of how worried I was. And the more I waited, the more worried I became.

How on earth was I supposed to explain to their kids that their mother was Missing?

Even the police had begun to investigate me, thinking I had a hand in my wife's disappearance. There had been all kinds of theories that I had killed her and hid her body somewhere from the detectives.

When they'd not been able to find any leads with me, they'd begin to look elsewhere.

I was glad the kids were not here to witness the whole mess, it was the only good thing about them going to a boarding school.

I needed to find her especially since the cops were not any closer to finding her.

But where to look?

I’ve been to the kid's school but they'd said they hadn't seen her since a month ago when we’d come visiting.

I needed to go back to school to see them again, maybe she'd gone to visit them since then, at least that was what I was hoping for.

I opened the door to go to visit the triplets but stopped short when saw Kassy about to knock on the door.

"Kassy," I smiled, a little agitated by her visit.

"What on earth is going on, Jack? What is this I hear about Larissa missing?"

I let out a sigh, so the detective had already reached her. That made sense.

"Hey, it's a long story."

"What the hell happened?" She barreled into the house and went to stand in the middle of the living room, dropping her bag on the floor and folding her hands across her chest.

I slowly marched up to her, unsure on where to start from.

"I thought you said she travelled for a trip or something. How come the police are now involved?" She questioned, a mix of emotions in her eye but the most prominent one was anger.

"You might want to have a seat," I gestured awkwardly to the sofa.

She eyed me and then the sofa before taking a seat.

"Okay, tell me."

I explained everything that had happened, especially the fight and how I had not seen her since that day. And how at first I had thought she'd just wanted some space but when she'd not showed up for a week or picked any of my calls, I had to involve the Police.

"Do the kids know?"

Kassy asked after I gave her a thorough run down of everything that had happened.

"No, they don't. I was just about to go back to their school to check on them and at least see if Larissa had gone to visit them recently."

"This is unlike Larissa, she'd never do something like this, something is definitely wrong."

"Exactly, I'm going literally insane, kassy," I broke down in front of the woman.

"Hey, it's okay." She stood up to pat my back.

"We are going to find her, that is for sure. Wherever she is, she'll be found."

I wanted so badly to believe her but there was a nagging feeling in my chest that told me she'd finally left me. She never really loved me anyway and that fight had been intense enough for her to let me go.

She'd said some really mean things and although she'd said she didn't mean it, I couldn't help but not believe her.

Yes, she probably loved me but I had always felt like her heart belonged to someone else entirely.

Kassy left a few hours later and promised to help look for her too

After she left, I decided to go to the kid's school.

As I got to the school premises, I noticed a cop car and a man that looked awfully familiar within the car. I wondered what was going on for a minute before driving into the school compound.

I was welcomed instantly by the security guard and directed to the principal's office as soon as I got out the car.

“Dr. Jack!” The principal greeted her eyes wide as she saw me walk into her office.

“Good morning, Principal Ablin,” I smiled uncertainly at her.

She looked like she’d just seen a ghost or her long lost sibling.

“Welcome. Um, w..we weren’t expecting you here today,” she rushed to say, her eyes darting between me and the door.

“I understand that but I need to speak to my kids. It’s important.” I said, hoping that my suspicions weren’t true and Larissa had at least come to visit her kids.

Ablin swallowed on hearing what I had to say and I raised my eyebrows at her in confusion. I knew the school had strict rules when it came to parents visiting their kids but I had hoped she’d make an exception since Larrissa and I were huge contributors to this school.

Um… about that…” principal Ablin started, -fear taking over her entire expression- but was quickly interrupted by someone barging in.

“Principle Ablin, we still are unable to find the triplets.”

A young teacher said but immediately closed her mouth with both her palms when she noticed me.

“Um, I’m so sorry, I didn’t realize… that is to say… I’ll just leave.” She ranted and immediately disappeared from the office.

I looked over at the principal for an explanation.

“What on earth is going on?” I asked, remembering the cop car I had seen outside the school when I was coming in.

“I didn’t want to say anything till we knew for sure but your kids are missing. They’ve been missing for a dat and a few hours now and we have no idea where they’ve gone…”
